2:30 Brighton Racing Tips (8th September) Maria Montez Looks A Beauty At Odds Of 10/1

Ginzan usually tracks the leaders but its times have been slow and it may really prefer a shorter trip. Poetic Choice is one of two horses that could possibly lead and comes out second on my ratings and being a three-year-old could improve even more and I do think this might try and win the race from the front. Castorienta is a three-year-old but it hasn't shown any worthwhile times as of yet so needs to improve dramatically to win this. MARIA MONTEZ 10/1 is the top rated and has been known to lead before but can sit just off the pace if needs be and could come home the stronger. Miss Brazil a three-year-old that's third on my figures and usually tracks the pace so must have some sort of a chance. Byron's Gold the fourth three-year-old in the race and fourth on my ratings but wouldn't need to improve that much to get into the frame but I doubt it can win if the others run to form. Olney Lass may find this trip too short even though it can either track the leaders or be held up.  Birdie Queen can be held up or can track the leaders but isn't in my top four so doubt it will win here.

SUMMARY: I have to go with MARIA MONTEZ 10/1. It looks overpriced to me and will hopefully at least make the frame. Looking at the prices shows that the bookies can't agree on what's going to win the odds for each horse vary quite a with varied firms. It is a race where stakes should be kept to a low level and I might also suggest a saver bet on Poetic Choice 11/2 just in case it gets and easy lead and saves something for the finish.
