With no older sprint races I've detailed a two-year-old (0-85) rated Nursery Handicap. I use the same method the only difference being the limited data available. However, it soon became clear Wentworth Falls has much better form than any of the opposition. In truth, I expected this juvenile to be favourite and probably odds-on, so when I saw 6/4 on offer it was quite a pleasant surprise. Saying that, I wouldn't be jumping in too heavily with any bet on these fledgling horse.
I assume most people know the definition of a LAY bet? Via betting exchanges you offer odds against a given horse winning taking the opinion it will lose (obviously, the backer opposes your opinion and keen to bet on it winning).
I have previously laid horses to lose but found the workload at the height of the turf season too much alongside my conventional sprint analysis, which is viewed daily on Eric Winner. The flat racing has reduced which gives ample opportunity to divulge my findings. (These have been published via Eric Winner Facebook and can be seen here).
Thursday's Lay Bets:
12:20 Newcastle - Born To Succeed
1:00 Warwick - My Oh Mount Brown
1:20 Newcastle - Captain Sharpe
2:20 Newcastle - Jukebox Melody
3:20 Newcastle - Huehuecoytle + Starplex
4:20 Kempton - Alfie The Pug
4:50 Kempton - Exceedingly
5:50 Kempton - Courier
Good Luck with any bets you have tomorrow.
P.S: There are no older horse sprints again on Friday so the next blog will cover a five-furlong nursery and lay bets.
Wentworth Falls 6/4 1st
