2:40 Chelmsford Winning Race Tips (7th February) TOTEEXACTA HANDICAP (CLASS 3) (4yo+ 0-95)

1—Dungannon usually likes to track the leaders and with half the field having led before it will have plenty of pace to aim at but I think this surface doesn't suit it so therefore not on my radar as a possible winner.

2—Dynamo Walt can either be held up or track the leaders but may have to come wide to catch the front runners but is my third top if things go its way but it needs to catch my top two rated so may never quite catch them.

3—Royal Birth is one of the possible front runners but a draw in stall seven wont help its cause as its the widest of all the pace setters and is only sixth on my figures.

4—Pensax Lad is another possible front runner and is drawn in stall three and is my top rated sso hopefully it will be able to at least contest the lead or be very close and prove the stronger towards the end of the race.

5—Brother Tiger is another possible pace setter and is drawn in stall two which is also its position in my figures so should be thereabouts right from the start and must have place claims if it reproduces it best time.

6—Stake Acclaim in my opinion is better over further so it could get out paced in this line-up but could be staying on at the finish if they go too fast in front but these are good class opponents and I doubt it will get involved in the finish.

7—Normal Equilibrium is only fourth fastest on my times and although it likes to track the leaders it might find things happening a little too fast for it to be competitive but could make the frame if any of the top three under perform.

8—Apach Storm is only fifth on my ratings despite being the lowest weighted, it is another possible front runner but it might struggle to lead or even get a clear run with my top two ratings drawn either side of it so its not for me here.

SUMMARY: A nice looking class three race and I expect the top two ratings drawn in stalls one and three could, if they don't go too fast by pushing too hard to lead alone, have the race between them on the rails, and then PENSAX LAD 13/2 to prove the stronger nearing the finish and win again like it did last time out at Wolverhampton and like it did three runs before that over this course and distance and its being ridden by a good three pound claiming apprentice to enhance its chances of winning.

Pensax Lad 7/1 7th
