4:25 Musselburgh Winning Racing Tips (11th Oct) Imperial Legend Top Ranked at 16/1

A poor turnout of just 7 runners, I've got Glenrowan Rose marked down as a possible front runner if nothing else wants to but Taexali looks a more natural front running type but neither of these has done fast times but if allowed to set a slower early pace they could then be dangerous and hold enough stamina in hand to hold off the challengers but I don't think they will be allowed to go slow early with 3 runners, all in my top 4 but not the top rated, that usually track the leaders and Gamesome my 2nd top rated may need further to show its best so will need to ensure there's a fast pace so its stamina comes into play and usually races prominently along with Strath Burn and Kimberella my 3rd and 4th top-rated which leaves me with DUKE OF FIRENZE 3/1 who can either be held up or track the leaders and will be staying on strongly at the finish.

Only 8 runners with 5 of them having been known to lead it could be a fast and furious class 2 sprint, Mirza might prefer a slower surface and Dougan might prefer further are the only 2 I can discount, Kasbah has only had 1 run in England so could be a bit of a danger, Lightscameraction is my 3rd top rated and could be the 1 to prosper if they cut each other's throats vying for the lead as both of my joint top 2 are possible pace makers and both are versatile with their running style so they don't have to lead from the start to win and I can't split POYLE VINNIE 10/1 and HUMIDOR 15/2 so will go with backing both of them to show a profit whichever one wins the race.

Humidor 14/1 3rd Poyle Vinne 10/1 Unp
A nice looking race for a class 5 affair, 14 runners and 3 known to lead and 2 of them Compton River from stall 7 and Jack Luey stall 9 are my joint 4th top rated so should ensure there's a fast early pace and any bias does seem to favour those drawn low, the 3rd possible leader is in stall 12, I've then got joint 2nd top rated horses in Flash City who usually races prominently and has got stall 8 and the top weight Landing Night from stall 6 who can be held up or track the leaders but my top rated is IMPERIAL LEGEND 25/1 who I'm hoping can get a good prominent early position from stall 3 and then stay on the stronger at the finish and a big enough price to go with an each way bet.

Just what you would expect for a class 6 apprentices handicap the only surprise is that Mighty Zip my 5th top rated is the only known front runner but unluckily it's been drawn stall 12 but if nothing else wants to lead it might not be a problem but very often in these races the jockeys are given simple instructions get out and ride flat out from start to as far as it can, there's very little between those rated 6th to 3rd so this front runner could make the frame, 2nd top is Lackaday who is usually a hold up type while my top rated is VIRILE 100/30 who prefers to race prominently and is being ridden here by an apprentice who has been riding well recently but being an apprentices race any stakes will be kept low.

Virile 100/30 4th
