3:20 Lingfield Winning Racing Tips (9th Jan) BETWAY BEST ODDS GUARANTEED PLUS HANDICAP (CLASS 7) (3yo+ 0-50)

A class seven race.

Not really enough interest to write about each horse. In fact, I would normally be quite cautious about selecting at this lowly level. Hopefully, I've found something worthwhile. Ten contenders, but just one known front runner and little in the way of hidden dangers. Three horses might need further. One or two might not like the surface.

Nidnod has recorded a time on this course, which would make her second top rated.

Willow Spring has not achieved a rating here but is top rated on Kempton times but only slow times at Chelmsford. Taking Kempton times, Bubbly Bailey isn't in my top three but, then again, it is top rated using times at Chelmsford. It is top rated from times over this course and distance. Added to this, it is ideally drawn in stall one. Considering, this gelding is the only known front runner.

This looks a fine opportunity for John Jenkin's charge to get back to winning ways. Fingers crossed, he can lead from start to finish, I have to admit, this gelding has not been in the best of form but this step down in class should inspire. With a spell on the sidelines, I'm hoping this son of Byron comes here in good heart. At this lowly class, consistency isn't a byword so keep this to small stakes. The price looks decent value affording an each-way bet.
