2:00 Lingfield Racing Tips (4th February) BETWAY BEST ODDS GUARANTEED PLUS CLEVES STAKES (Listed Race) (CLASS 1) (4yo+)

racing tips, winning racing tips,
Amazour no course form and Kempton time isn't good enough to win this race.
Boom The Groom may need this race for fitness and only my 4th best.
Gracious John could possibly lead but needs to improve timewise to win this.
Justice Good another maybe leader but times have been on the slow side.
Lancelot Du Lac is my 2nd best rated and ought to make the frame.
Mythmaker this si the most likely leader and my 3rd top rated so be hard to catch for most.
PRETEND won 1st time out this year at Kempton and my top rated for this course so could win again if running to its best and therefore my selection.
Rivellino just outside my top 4 so may struggle to make the frame.
SUMMARY: The selection is as always the top speed rated horse on my own figures and I have to admit the price of PRETEND 13/8 all I can suggest is to put it in some multiple bets at least being a Listed class race I do think it will be trying and that's good enough for me.

Pretend 13/8 5th

Nine runners in this class 4 race over the minimum trip but only 2 that have been known to lead before and they are Come On Dave my 5th top rated and Mossgo my 3rd top rated so there should be a strong early gallop, ive got joint top rated horses in VIMY RIDGE 8/1 and TAAJUB 8/1 who both like to race prominently and I just cant split them so I will be backing them both to show a profit whichever one does the business.

Vimy Ridge 8/1 2nd
Taajub 8/1 5th

This class 5 race with 11 runners I've only got 3 with a recorded time and 2 that could set the early pace, Rockley Point would probably set the pace if nothing else wanted to but Bertie Blu Boy is more of a natural front running type and from stall 3 it could gain control of the rails and its also my joint 2nd top rated along with Head Space who is a hold up type but has drawn stall 1 and could possibly sit behind the leaders on the rails so ready to stay on at the finish but I've got my top rated horse VARSOVIAN 11/2 coming out of stall 2 and this one can be held up or track the leaders and im hoping it can sit on the rail about 1 length behind the leader ready to attack later on and the jockey booking looks a positive so it looks as though connections are expecting a big run from their horse in this race.

Varsonian 11/2 1st

Only 6 runners here and 2 of them I have got marked down as having negatives against their names but I still hope theres some value in the race as theres only 1 “known” pace setter and thats also my top rated so if SUGAR TOWN 11/4 gets an easy lead and can dominate the early pace it could set a slightly slower early pace and then kick on and pinch the race from the front and it ran well last time out after a 4 month break when finishing 2nd and only beaten by half a length.

Sugar Town 9/2 4th
8:45 Newcastle -
Class 6 race with 10 runners, Beau Amadeus could lead if nothing else wanted to but probably wont have to here but could be a big danger in a race where it gets its own way up front and setting its on pace, Tango Sky comes out 4th top and likes to track the leaders while the 3rd top rated Sea Of Green is a hold up type but this one wouldnt want a fast early pace as this distance stretches its stamina to its limit, my 2nd top rated is the top weighted Commanche who is also the one I think is the most likely front runner in this race and it ought to be hard to catch for most of the rest but I have got SPIRIT OF ZEBEDEE 4/1 as my top rated and this one likes to track the leaders and its drawn in the stall next to the one I think will lead and then stay on the stronger at the finish and looking at its trainer and jockeys statistics it looks like they are expecting a bold show in this race.

Spirit Of Zebedee 4/1 1st + F/C £23.70
