2:00 Windsor Racing Tips (1st May) Racing's Favourite Bet Apprentice Training Series Handicap (RE Initiative) (Class 5) (4yo+)

Racing tips
This is an 11 runner apprentice riders race with 2 that have been known to lead before but I've only got 2 that have got recorded times, Picket Line is 2nd top from a time recorded at Ascot last year but may find this distance pushes its stamina in a fast run race which this just might be so I'm doubtful of its chances of winning but my top rated is ESSAKA 6/1 and this one's best time was recorded over this course and distance and who is usually a hold up type and I'm hoping there's a fast pace for it to aim at and then stay on the stronger at the finish.

Of the 10 runners there's the only Tailwind known as a front-running sort and could be dangerous with an easy lead but that doesn't happen very often especially not in class 4 races, Kyllukey and Morache Music are my joint 3rd top rated pair but both have slight negatives against their names, with Fairway To Heaven sitting in 2nd spot who can be held up or track the leaders and ought to ensure there's a decently fast early pace but my top spot goes to PRETTY BUBBLES 11/2 who usually stays on strongly at this trip as though a longer trip would suit it better but what it needs is a fast pace to aim at so I'm hoping its fast enough in the early stages to play into the hands on this one's stamina nearing the finish.

Only 7 runners 4 of them have been known to lead before, Swendab is 4th top rated and a possible front runner, my 3rd top rated is Flying Bear who usually likes to track the leaders, my 2nd top is SECRETFACT 2/1 who can be held up or track the leaders and could be the one to prosper if they go off too fast and the trainer does have a good 19% win ratio at this course but my top spot goes to the bottom weight FRANK THE BARBER 11/2 who is a front-running sort and if leading here it could prove hard to pass but I'm not sure if it's quite as good in this class of race and may be better off when dropped back to class 6 races and will have competition for the lead so I will go with backing the top weight as my main bet and then a covering bet on the bottom weight.
