4:55 York Racing Tips (14th July) Handicap

Free Racing Tips
4:55 York - Class 3 – 5 furlongs – 14 runners
Desert Law and Apricot Sky are joint 3rd top rated but the latter may be better over further and this race may not be run to suit it but it ought to be staying on at the finish but maybe too late. East Street Revue is 2nd top and can be held up or track the leaders and could be placed. MERRY BANTER 12/1 is top rated and this 3year old is the only natural front-runner in the race and if allowed to set the pace it could kick and be very hard to catch and to help their cause they are using a 7lb claiming apprentice who has previously ridden a winner for this stable so I'm hoping that's a positive pointer. And at the price, I will be going with an each way bet.

Merry Banter 14/1 8th

YORK 3.15 Group 3 – 6 furlongs – 16 runners
This looks a cracking race with a German trainer bringing over 2 horses for the race and 9 of the 16 runners are 3year olds who could still have improvement within themselves it looks a race to sit back and savour, I've not done any analysis of the race because I don't want to be tempted to bet but with so many possible unknowns I will not be betting in the race, so good luck if any of you fancy something and if so I would be happy for your comments on your ideas of the winner.
ASCOT 4.35 Class 3 – 6 furlongs – 11 runners
Moonraker a hold-up type is 3rd best it moves to the joint top with its apprentice's 5lb claim taken off but the trainer only has a 2% win rate here with his older horses and the jockey 1-16. Stellarta my 2nd top usually races prominently and likes the going to be fast BOY IN THE BAR 11/2 is a possible front runner and if getting to the front ought to prove to be hard to catch and the jockey riding today has a 27% win rate for the stable and 3-12 with the older horses so it looks a positive booking.

Boy In The Bar 6/1 6th MUSSELBURGH 5.55 Class 6 – 5 furlongs – 12 runners
Harpers Ruby is the only known front-runner in the race but has shown very little lately but could be dangerous if allowed to set its own pace. Cheeni my 3rd top rated and its usually held up for a late run and could make the frame Thornaby Princess is my 2nd top despite looking as though a longer trip would suit it better so ought to stay on to make the frame. SEE VERMONT 10/3 is my top rated and usually likes to track the leaders and the trainer has a 16% win rate here and the 5lb claiming apprentice jockey has ridden a winner before for the stable so it looks a positive booking.

See Vermont 4/1 3rd CHEPSTOW 6.45 Class 5 – 5 furlongs – 8 runners
Swendab is joint 3rd top and 1 of 2 known front runners and could make the frame Compton Poppy my 2nd top rated and this 3year old could still improve but needs to QUANTUM DOT 10/3 is top rated and the other known front running type and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch, the trainer has a 36% win ratio with its older horses and the 3lb claiming apprentice has a 19% win rate for the stable so everything points to connections expecting a big run in this race.

Quantum Dot 9/2 3rd MUSSELBURGH 7.25 Class 4 – 5 furlongs – 8 runners
Desert Ace 3rd best can be held up or track the leaders and could make the frame Astrophysics 2nd best also can be held up or track the leaders SILVANUS 6/1 usually races just behind the leaders and they stays on strongly at the finish and the trainer has a decent 17% win ratio at this course and over 50% strike rate counting placed horses as well.

Silvanus 8/1 1st CHEPSTOW 7.50 Class 4 Lady Riders – 6 furlongs – 10 runners
not usually a race I would pay much attention to but I might have found an edge, Gold Hunter is my top rated but the jockey has a poor 6-76 win ratio throughout her carreer but im not sure how good that is but it doesnt look anything special to me, topweight ATHASSEL 14/1 is being ridden by a 5lb claimer which moves it to top spot, the trainer has a 12% win rate here but the jockey is 2-11 in her whole career but both of her wins came for this trainer on the all weather but she is 0-5 for them on turf but im hoping its a positive booking but my stakes will be kept low in an each way wager.

Athassel 14/1 3rd
