1:40 Brighton Racing Tips (21st August)

Brighton racecourse
BRIGHTON 1.40 (8.1)

Only 6 runners with 3 being potential pacesetters and they are also my top 3 rated horses, Entertaining Ben is 3rd best,Hurricane Alert in 2nd spot but the topweight UNION ROSE 12/1 has a jockey booked who has a 25% win rate for this stable so I'm hoping that a pointer to them expecting to win this race.

Union Rose 12/1 5th

HAMILTON 1.50 (7.4)

There are 13 runners and just 2 known to set the pace, Manshood is one of my joint 2nd top rated horses and usually likes to track the leaders, the other is ALEEF 14/1 who is a possible front runner and if setting its own pace then could go very well indeed so at the price has to be an each way bet and my top-rated BIG LES 9/1 will need a trouble-free run to catch the leader but does have good trainer/jockey stats so I will go with backing them both each way to cover the angles as usual.

Big Les 9/1 7th
Aleef 14/1 Unp

HAMILTON 3.20 (7.4)

Of the 11 runners only Zig Zag Zyggy is known to lead and could be capable of some improvement but isn't in my top 3 timewise, One Boy likes to track the leaders and is my 3rd top rated with Highly Focussed in 2nd spot and this one needs g/f to show its best but top rated is Our Place In Loule but the trainer is 1-25 here and the jockey is 1-18 for this stable which puts me off its chances a bit, so maybe a race I’ll leave alone.

BRIGHTON 3.40

A four runner race with 2 pacesetters, WOTADOLL 6/1 starts off as my top rated and can be held up or track the leaders but the topweight LIGHTNING CHARLIE 11/4 moves to top spot with the apprentices 3lb claim and I will look to back them both as usual to cover both angles.

Lightning Charlie 11/4 + CSF £13.10
Wotadoll 6/1

YARMOUTH 4.50 (7.4)

This is a poor looking class 6 race with no known front-runners and only 2 with recorded times, Terri Rules in 2nd top and can be held up or track the leader whilst my top rated KIBAAR 13/8 is usually held up for a late run, any stakes will be low as I'm not sure the race will be run to suit the selection.

Kibaar 5/2 3rd

KEMPTON 5.05

Saving the best till last with an all-weather sprint, I've got 3 marked down as potential pace setters but none of them is in my top 3 so will be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace, my 3rd best, Chagatai likes to track the leaders as does my 2nd top rated Kamra, which should ensure there's a fast early pace which will play into the hands of my top-rated horse BORN TO FINISH 8/1 who is a hold up type and likes to finish with a late surge and has a decent chance to get back to winning ways here.

Born To Finish 8/1 7th
