3:50 Lingfield Racing Tips (29th August)

Horse Racing Tips
LINGFIELD 3.50

EXCHEQUER -- usually stays on at this distance as though further would suit it better but it could have a fast pace to aim at here but 11/8 is a poor price.

BIG TIME MAYBE -- is a 3-year-old who could still improve and has only a slow time over c/d looking as though this is a touch too far if there's a fast early pace.

SIR BILLY WRIGHT -- is on a long losing run and I'm not sure it will end here as it seems better over a shorter distance.

SEPRANI -- could be the one to prosper if they go off too fast and tire nearing the finish as it's my 2nd top rated and a prior c/d winner.

TEMERAIRE -- is my top rated and could be one of the pacesetters and if it manages to get to the front it could prove very hard to catch.

SECRET AGENT -- hasn't any form on this surface at this distance so I'm not sure what to expect, it could try to lead but I'm not sure if it can get there.

SHOWMETHEWAYAVRILO -- won Monday at Southwell but it only produced a slow time on this surface at Kempton but another that could try to lead and it is in good form.

SUMMARY: If the bottom weight does run in this race I can see it is one of the favourites and current form does count for a lot but it hasn't shown the same level of form on this surface and if it doesn't get the lead from the 1 stall it could have to come round the field at the finish, I'm hoping TEMERAIRE 13/2 from stall 2 can get out and take control of the race on the rails and if kicking from the front could then lead all the way to get back to winning ways, the jockey booking looks positive with a 2-6 record for this stable.

Temerarie 13/2 5th

CATTERICK 5.00 (7.7)

I'm hoping the going is dry enough for me to bet, I've got a couple that could set the pace but they are not in my top 4 ratings but the 3-year-old Super Florence 5/1 is 5th top and could improve but I will go with the proven, Huntsmans Close 25/1 is my 3rd top and versatile when it comes to racing tactics and that can include leading and if doing so could be hard to catch and may be worth a small each way wager at this price, Extrasolar 8/1 is my 2nd top rated on a time from Carlisle this year and probably worth an each way bet, my top rated is SPIRIT OF WEDZA 6/1 using a time from Hamilton last year, admittedly it does have to improve on this years form but could quite easily bounce back to its best, I've mentioned 4 horses and a may well dutch them to show a profit whichever one wins.
