Wolverhampton racing tips

POLYBIUS won last time out at Kempton where the time was relatively slow and in a fast run race it barely stays the distance but there's very little early pace in this race so it might be ok but I would think of very little value.

MAJOR PARTNERSHIP hasn't any form on this surface or at this distance and in its runs, its looked as though a longer trip would suit it better but being a 3 year old it could still improve but I wouldn't be backing it here.

REPUTATION hasn't any course form and on turf form it needs to improve to turn around form with the topweight which doesn't bode well for its chances in this race.

SQUATS hasn't made the frame in 9 all-weather runs but going back to 2015 its best time would put it just outside my top 3 and may need further to show its best.

TASHAABOH a 3-year-old who has been known to lead but hasn't any course form, a slow time at Kempton and it's best turf time a few pounds shy off my top 4 ratings so I couldn't back this one here.

NAMMER GUN comes out below my top 4 times at this c/d and it does look as though a longer distance would suit it better so not for me.

HIGHLAND ACCLAIM won last time out on turf and has a 0-16 record on the all-weather tracks and you have to go back to 2016 to find its last decent piece of form where I got towed along in a fast run affair, so not for me here.

KING ROBERT hasn't had a run on the all-weather tracks this year but has a time from 2017 which makes it my top rated so I'm hoping this switch from turf which ignites its enthusiasm and gets it back to winning ways.

KODILINE actually recorded a time fast enough to make it 2nd top rated but it was achieved in a class 5 race and I think this jump up to class 3 will find it out which it has done in the past.

SUMMARY: With rain forecast for all 3 meetings on grass it looks likely to be my only betting race of the day but I've only got 1 known front-runner in this race in Tashaaboh who’s a 3-year-old and it won in a slow time last time out when leading and winning at Kempton but would need to improve a fair amount to win this race. Kodiline may not be so capable in this class of a race but is in form, my selection is KING ROBERT 25/1 who hasn't run on the all-weather this year but if able to reproduce its best 2017 time it would have more than a chance as it was running in class 2 events last year and at the price it has to be worth an each way wager. The weather forecast is for rain at all 3 turf meetings tomorrow and as usual, I won't be betting if the goings on the soft side of things so I will just give my top ratings for each race with a very short summary.

King Robert 25/1 4th

ASCOT 1.50 (8.6)

I think *JUDICIAL will be a pacesetter here so could go well, JUST GLAMOROUS usually likes to track the leaders and stay on strongly while MUTHMIR runs on fast at the finish and I will dutch all 3 in this race.

Just Glamorous 33/1 6th
Muthmir 10/3 Unp
* NR

ASCOT 3.00

I'm hoping *GIFTED MASTER will be prominent from the off here and only PROJECTION has a faster time and can chase the pace or be held up and I will back them both to cover both angles

Projection 2/1 1st
* NR

ASCOT 4.45

Not much early pace so hard to be confident so I will have 2 small wagers on y top 2 ratings ONLY SPOOFING and OPEN WIDE

Only Spoofing 8/1 4th

REDCAR 6.10 (7.7)

Both Harrogate and MERRY BANTER like to set the pace or at least be prominent from the off and only BASHIBA has recorded a faster time and I will have the 2 bets to cover both angles.

Merry Banter 16/1 1st + EX £111.40
Bashiba 5/1 2nd
