7:30 Chelmsford Racing Tips (24th October)

Breeders' Cup Colourful Horse
CHELMSFORD 7.30 (Div1)

This isn't a great race where I've got negatives against 8 of the runners and only 3 with recorded times, WOTADOLL 2/1 doesn't really stay this trip in a fast run race but if allowed it can set the pace itself although a slower pace and there's no other known front-runner in the race so it could well have a chance at least to hold on for a place, my 2nd top rated is Haraz who usually has to be held up for a late run at this distance and its not well drawn in stall 9 so may need some luck in running, top spot goes to BLISTERING DANCER 8/1 who is usually held up for a late run over this trip and could get a good position on the rails from stall 5 from which to attack late on, my plan here is to back both selections to cover both angles.

Wotadoll 2/1 2nd

CHELMSFORD 8.00 (Div2)

At least this 2nd division has 5 horses with recorded times but some of them are slightly older times and ive got negatives against the other 5 runners, Black Truffle usually stays on at the finish but maybe too late in this race as theres no known pacesetters which is always a problem in analysing a race, the same applies to Mr Potter but this one does have the stall 1 draw so may try to make sure theres a good early pace and then hope its stamina kicks in but it could get outpaced if it turns into a sprint when they turn for home, you have to go back to 2016 to find Divine Call’s best time and this isnt its favoured surface, PAPA DELTA 13/8 is usually held up for a late run and its best time was recorded this year which is a plus and the 7lb claiming jockey could tip things in its favour but if not then my original top rated PLUCKY DIP 4/1 could be the one to prosper and its another that runs on at the finish but it can track the leaders and cover any moves, I will go with 2 bets in this race but my stakes won't be at full strength.

Papa Delta 7/2 3rd
Plucky Dip 4/1 4th
