HUMAN NATURE is a possible pacesetter from stall 7 and 2nd best on recent c/d times and has a good time from Kempton as well, it has good trainer/jockey stats and could easily make the frame or win the race if my selection doesn't do its best.
SWORD EXCEED is a versatile type when it comes to its running style but would need to improve a good few spots to win the race using its best time which was recorded in 2017 so would also need to bounce back to form timewise.
DRAKEFELL this 3-year-old only has slow times over c/d also it's Kempton best still leaves it struggling to win this race and I think its a much better horse when racing over a shorter distance.
GO FAR hasn't shown anything at this c/d but its best time from Chelmsford would make it competitive but its recent form has been way below that level and I cannot see why it should make the winners enclosure in this race.
ANONYMOUS JOHN a front-running type and has got the prime draw in stall 1, it's my top rated on this years c/d times and also comes out top on Kempton speed figures so if leading on the rails it could prove hard to catch.
BERNIES BOY has only slow c/d times but does have a time recorded at Kempton this year that would make it competitive enough to make the frame but stall 8 isn't ideal for a horse that likes to lead.
SILCA MISTRESS this 3-year-old has only had 1 run over this c/d and recorded a slow time but its not enough for me to say it cannot win this race but would need to show a fair amount of improvement before I could back it.
HIGHLAND ACCLAIM if I go back to its best time from 2017 this horse could possibly win this race but it hasn't run over this c/d recently, it has won on turf this year but it had 18 previous runs on the all-weather tracks without winning which puts me off a little.
BIBBIDIBOBBIDIBOO this 3-year-old hasn't run on this surface before so not sure if it will like it or not but looking at the rest of its form I think it will need a longer distance for it to show its best form so not for me here.
SUMMARY: There are a 6 runners in this 9 runner race that look capable of winning, there's also 4 that look natural front runners so it ought to be a fast run race, the selection has to be my top rated horse ANONYMOUS JOHN 9/2 who won last time out and the connections have employed a 7lb claiming apprentice to negate its 6lb penalty for the win, im hoping this can swing things in its favour and can lead all the way on the rail leaving a few,, Human Nature, Go Far, Bernies Boy, Silca Mistress and Highland Acclaim that could battle to make the frame.
