6:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (28th February)

FENDALE 79c/d19--92c/d should be staying on at the finish and if reproducing its best 2018 time it would have a decent chance to win here.

DAPPER MAN 67c/d18--79S5 a front running type in stall 1 but this might not be its favoured surface.

TAN No c/d form--68W5 is usually staying on at the finish but needs to improve timewise to win this race.

PRIMOS COMET 68c/d--74W5 at this distance it always races as though further would suit it better and may not catch the leaders here.

RUMSHAK 75c/d another front running type but its best time is a bit short of some of the others so may struggle to compete early in this race.

TOMMY G 93c/d ought to be staying on very strongly in this race but its 0-11 record on the all-weather tracks is a little off-putting.

JUSTICE LADY 76c/d is the only known hold up type in the race but I doubt it can stay strong enough to catch the leaders in this race.

ANOTHER ANGEL 85c/d the 3rd of the 3 known front running types and has the top rating only using 2019 times so could do enough to make the frame.

NIBRAS AGAIN (slow times) is 0-5 on the all-weather tracks and maybe even out-classed at this level so not for me in this race.

GOLD STONE No c/d form--75L5 is another horse that may be outclassed in this race and timewise would need to improve to win here.

ORIENT CLASS 94c/d is well weighted on its best time but the 0-11 record on the all-weather tracks is enough to put me off.

SUMMARY: Over this straight 5 furlong course the draw doesn't seem to matter too much and there are possible pacesetters both high and low in the stall numbers, Another Angel has to be considered as it has the best time from this year alone and could go well, Tommy G is another that's well weighted on its best form but its 0-11 aw record puts me off and its 10 runs since this one won a race, my selection is the topweight FENDALE 5/2, it won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up here and the 7lbs the apprentice takes off its back could prove pivotal to its chances of winning this race.

Fendale 7/2 2nd
