3:55 Doncaster Racing Tips (26th April)

Doncaster racecourse
With the forecast rain im probably doing this blog for nothing and the going is so important for my speed figures and the 2.10 at Epsom on Wednesday was a typical example, the horses were leaving hoofprints in the turf but the official going was given as good and good to firm in places, I would say just by watching the race it was good and good to soft in places and the times were on the slow side and if there had been a race before the sprint it would have saved me some money so if im in doubt from now on I won't post the blog and it shows more and more why I prefer and love all weather racing.

Not an easy race to solve, Canford bay and Nibras again recorded a fast time when running last time out at Ripon but that was a class 5 race so maybe not up to this rise in class but they are fit and both have positive jockey bookings, im hoping the early pace will be set or contested by SIGNORE PICCOLO 12/1 but you have to go back to 2017 to find its best time and to be honest, didn't show much in the whole of 2018 timewise but did win once on good going and maybe doesn't want fast good to firm ground and it has won fresh before, Bashiba is on a losing run of 11 and may need good to firm going to show its best, DESERT ACE 20/1 recorded a time at Hamilton last year that puts it in the mix and the jockey booking looks a positive move, if the going is ok i will be backing them both each way but to smallish stakes as its a very competitive handicap.

Signore Piccolo 12/1 3rd
Desert Ace 25/1 7th

I can split this handicap into the top 5 in the handicap and the rest, Tundra won but in a slowish time on good to firm ground, Turanga Leela hasn't shown much on turf since 2017 but its time at Chester that year would make it my 3rd top rated but has a faster time on the aw at Wolver, Peggys Angel needs good to firm ground to show its best but im not sure about the jockey booking with his 1-25 record for the stable, Penny Pot Lane is my 2nd top rated and the 20% strike rate of the jockey booked looks a good move but my top rated is LETHAL ANGEL 3/1 the jockey booked to ride has an overall strike rate of 29% for this stable but it goes up to 36% on the stables older horses and has to be the one carrying my money.

Lethal Angel 13/2 3rd
