Ascot Winning Racing Tips (26th July)

ASCOT 5.15

Only 7 runners but a hard race to fathom, I have found a couple I might lay but in betting terms I have it between SEEN THE LYTE  7/1, TEXTING 3/1 and PINK FLAMINGO 13/2 who might try to lead all the way from stall one, the betting will make things a little clearer but I think dutching all 3 of them looks the way to go in this race.

THIRSK 5.40

For a class 6 race this looks a good un apart from the fact half of the runners haven't won in their last 10 runs or more and my top 3 ratings are in that half, Racquet 10 losing runs is 3rd best but that is using a 2017 time and I can't really see why that run should come to an end here, in 2nd spot I've got SPOT LYTE 5/2 who has lost its last 12 races but it could attempt to lead all the way in this race with very little other known early pacesetters and its only 1lb below the top-rated DANCING MOUNTAIN 12/1 who will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish, with things being so close between them and both deploy differing tactics I will have to back them both.

Dancing Mountain 18/1 2nd
Spot Lyte 6/1 9th

YORK 6.30

I must be mad trying to find a selection in a 19 runner race especially one as devoid of early pace as this one, the likely favourite could be Rasheeq a possible front runner in stall 2 but I'm not sure this one wants g/f ground, the other known frontrunner is Gullane One drawn in stall 18 and this one needs g/f ground to show its best, so things might depend on the weather and or how much water they put on the course but my money will be riding on COOL SPIRIT 10/1 who won last time out and has been found an opportunity to follow up here but with such a big field my stakes won't be at full strength but an each-way bet might pay dividends.

Cool Spirit 8/1 7th
