3:30 Ripon Racing Tips (5th August)

RIPON 3.30 (8.2)

The ground needs to dry out but if it does reach 8.2 or more on the stick reading its a hard race to work out fully, Upstaging is capable of doing a fast time but not in this class and most of its runs this year have been below its best, BOSSIPOP 15/2 has to be considered as its only 2lb below my 2 joint top-rated, Teruntum Star is one of that pair but I have gone back to 2017 to find its best time and would need to spring back to form here, *WATCHABLE 5/1 is the other top-rated horse on its Epsom time this year and has fair trainer/jockey stats, I will be backing them both to cover the angles.

WINDSOR 6.30 (7.5)

There's 3 known frontrunners in this 7 runner class 3 affair and my 3rd top rating Bungee Jump and 2nd top-rated Doc Sportello are in those 3 so it should be a true run race and the latters best time was recorded over this course and distance which shows it likes this track but I'm hoping they will be setting the race up for LITTLE BOY BLUE 10/3 who is my top rated and the apprentice jockeys 3lb claim could prove invaluable and has to be the one carrying my money but my stakes won't be at full strength because of the trainers 1-17 win ratio at this course which I find a little off-putting.

Little Boy Blue 9/2 4th

WINDSOR 8.30 (7.5)

Eleven runners in this dash with four that have been known to lead, the one that might do best of those four is Pink Iceberg who recorded a time last year at Yarmouth where it led all the way on good to firm ground that makes it my top-rated but hasn't been able to have the pace setters role all to itself since then so could be dangerous if allowed to dictate but I cannot see that happening in this race, what I call the make-up of the race is very often so important when trying to find the winner, BASHIBA 5/2 is my top rated on this years times by the 3lbs the apprentice jockey claims and this ones best time was recorded over this c/d last year and would very often be my only selection in this race but Look Surprised 5/1 is being ridden here by the last jockey to win on this horse and he has a 22% win rate for this stables older horses so I will have to have a covering bet on this one as well.
