A class 6 sprint with 12 entrants and just 1 known front running type in the shape of Viewfromthestars and this one could possibly lead all the way but its still a maiden after 13 runs which puts me off, Forever Dreaming ought to be in the mix but may prefer further or a slower surface and maybe both so another I cannot back, Sir Sedric may have been flattered by 1 rating at Lingfield plus its 47 days since the stable last had a winner so no bet again, Jenever would have a chance if taking to this surface, so not a proven contender so another no bet, so my conclusion is that I have to leave this race alone and wait for a better opportunity.
NEWCASTLE 8.15
This is a 10 runner stakes race where they all carry the same weight and the highest rated horse officially is 50 but there is only 2lbs between the top 9 horses with 4 known front running types it should be a fast run race for the class. Ruggles 13/2 has 1 good rating to its name but that is beginning to look like a fluke rating so 1 I will look to lay along with Paddy K 4/1 who I think will need further to show its true form, Stroxx and Stronsay who have recorded reasonable ratings are still maidens after 40 and 10 runs respectively so I couldn't back either of them and I expect them to be outsiders, I have negatives against 8 of the horses apart from Another Angel 7/1 and BLACKCURRENT, 10/3 normally I would have backed them both but the former's trainer hasn't been in form lately having had 19 runners without a winner but I might have a covering bet on it just in case it does somehow bounce back to form, the latter has decent trainer stats 19% win ratio with their older horses at this course and jockey stats who has a 25% win ratio on the stables older horses, they both like to run at the front from the off so they could lead all the way.
