1:50 Newcastle Racing Tips (25th June)

NEWCASTLE 1.50

This is a very competitive class 2 sprint with just one known front runner amongst the 12 of them, Rolph Rembrandt 8/1 may be better over a shorter distance, the jockey is 0-3 for the stable but the stable does have a 25% strike rate at this course with their older horses, the going might not be right for Tipperary Tiger 17/2 who doesn't seem to like good to firm going, Raatea 8/1 might need further for it to show its best, Be Proud, Strike Red and Kind Review have pieces of form that would give them a chance here and could be possible each way bets but my money will be riding on IF YOU DARE 9/1 who is the one I think will set the pace to the race and ought to prove hard to catch plus it has good trainer/jockey stats.

If You Dare 16/1 3rd +3pts

NEWCASTLE 2.25

What a cracking looking Group 3 sprint with 12 runners and just Magical Spirit 25/1 known as a front running type but I doubt it can do enough to win this race but it could possibly make the frame if others fail to produce their best, there are a few who might be outclassed at this level, Edraak 8/1, Judicial, Annaf and Sense Of Duty 2/1, the last 2 being 3yo’s so I would be reluctant to lay them even though the latter is forecast to be the favourite I'm not sure if it will be of value to take the risk and lay it, only the betting will solve that. I will be siding with SPYCATCHER 9/2 who can either be held up or track the leaders and with a clear passage when it mounts its challenge will give it a decent chance here.

Spycatcher 9/2 Unp -1pt

Total -1pt

CHESTER 3.10

I usually hate Chester as a betting prospect but with only 6 runners the draw hopefully won't have too much impact on this race, Bossipop 9/1 hasn't produced much time wise recently and may need further to show its best form so might be worth laying if the price is right, a single figure price, its tight at the top of my speed figures but with GLORY FIGHTER 7/2 being the one most likely to set the pace to this race from stall 4 and comes out top on my figures, so if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and with good trainer/jockey stats it looks like the connections are at least expecting it to go well here.

Glory Fighter 7/2 2nd -1pt

Lay bet Bossipop +1pt

DONCASTER 7.00

A rather complicated class 4 sprint with only Equiano Springs 9/1 known to front run before and could do enough from the front to at least make the frame and with some clever riding it could possibly steal the race from the front, Dazzling Dan 16/1, Pockley 10/1 and Temple Bruer 9/1 are closely rated on my speed figures, Hiya Maite 10/3 is making its handicap debut and could be a it of a hidden danger and to be honest I haven't got a clue what will win this race so the best way to make a profit might be by laying something instead and I will side with laying Desert Doctor 9/1, which I did think would be much shorter in price, who might either prefer a longer distance or a slower surface and maybe both, it also has poor jockey 0-5 stats while the trainer is 1-30 with their older horses at this course.

Lay Bet Desert Doctor +1pt

1:00 Carlisle Racing Tips (18th August)

CARLISLE 1.00

GINGER JAM 9/1 is usually held up for a late run and time wise it may get to the front in time to win this race.

GLORY FIGHTER 11/1 is one of two known front runners and is in a group of four horses all rated within 1lb of each other and if getting to the front it could lead all the way.

EAST STREET REVUE 9/2 seems to be getting slightly slower each year so I doubt this 8yo will bounce back to its best and I would lay it at the price.

SOUND REASON 9/1 can lead if needs be but may not need to here, well that's what I hope so my selection gets its own way up front and this one has poor form on good or good to firm ground.

KHABIB 6/1 is another in that closely rated group of 4 it usually likes to track the leaders and has a decent jockey booking but the trainer hasn't had a winner in the last 2 weeks.

NIBRAS AGAIN 16/1 is the 3rd of those closely rated group of 4 and will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish so may be worth an each way punt.

NAVAJO SPRING 10/1 is the final one in that group of 4 and this one is usually held up for a late run and does have good trainer/jockey stats.

GLOBAL HUMOR 11/2 may need a longer distance to show its true worth and needs to improve timewise to win the race so maybe worth laying.

TEES SPIRIT 11/2 is a 3yo who hasn't any form on good or faster ground so is hard to assess but i think this one also may be better when raced over further.

INTERNATIONAL GRID 13/2 is another 3yo and usually races in midfield but time wise it would need to improve to win this race but never say never with 3yo’s.

KOROPICK 11/1 has a time from Musselburgh that would make it my top rated but that time is beginning to look like a fluke time.

SUMMARY :If I was sure Koropicks time was trustworthy it would be winning this race a shade cosily but I'm not going to rely on it, so I will be backing 2 horses to cover the angles, firstly GLORY FIGHTER 11/1 (EW) who could be the one to set the pace to the race and could lead all the way but would need to bounce back to form, secondly I will be backing NIBRAS AGAIN 16/1 (EW) who usually tracks the leaders and then run on or stay strongly in the closing stages and it has decent/good trainer/jockey stats, so I will be having 2 each way wagers.

Glory Fighter 11/1 2nd +1.75pts
Nibras Again 28/1 4th -2pts

Lay bet East Street Revue +1pt

Total +0.75pts

BATH 1.40

CHERISH 2/1 would need to improve time wise but its best time was recorded this year over this course and distance and it is in cracking form so could improve again.

ZULU ZANDER 12/1 usually likes to track the leaders but even its best time from 2020 wouldn't be enough for it to win this race so maybe worth laying.

PINK FLAMINGO 8/1 is one of the 3 known front runners in this race and could go ok from the front but maybe not good enough to win this race but an each way bet could pay dividends.

THEGREYVTRAIN 7/1 this front runner got caught on the line on Monday but it does better on the AW than on turf so I don't expect it to win here and i would lay it at the price.

GLAMOROUS FORCE 6/1 can run in midfield or be held up for a late run and comes out fourth top on my figures and could make the frame if others falter.

MOONSHINER 11/2 is a 3yo that is my top rated on just 2021 times which it recorded at Yarmouth and likes to track the leaders ready to pounce late on.

CORONATION COTTAGE 12/1 is the 3rd possible pacesetter and may do best of the 3 and could go well if able to reproduce its best 2020 time so maybe be an each way punt.

ATYAAF 9/1 likes to track the front runners but time wise it would need to improve quite a few spots and i doubt this race is within its reach so maybe worth laying.

SHANI 14/1 is another that likes to track the pacesetters and its best time from 2020 would put it in the mix but it hasn't been at that level so far this year.

PORFIN 12/1 i think this distance is a bit too short for this one to show its best and the jockeys 0-5 record for this stable doesn't inspire confidence.

SUMMARY: There is just 2lbs between my top 3 ratings, Coronation Cottage is the likely pacesetter but its best time this year has been relatively slow compared to its best 2020 time, Shani also relies on a 2020 time to put it in my top 3 but this ones best this year has been the worst of the 3 of them so I will be putting my money on the 3yo MOONSHINER 11/2 who recorded its best time this year which is the main reason for it being my selection of the 3 of them.

Moonshiner 11/2 5th -1pt

1:50 Ascot Racing Tips & Lay Bets (8th August)

ASCOT 1.50

Only Equiano Springs is known to lead but only when nothing else wants to and if leading here it might do enough to stay in the frame, I will look to lay (Highland Dress + Woven + Graceful Magic) both Dazzling Dan and Equitation could run well and might make the frame, I've got Chil Chil in 2nd position on my speed figures and along with top-rated horse THEOTHERSIDE 9/2 like to track the leaders, my selection is a 3yo that could still improve and has been found a nice chance to follow up its win last time out.

Theotherside 5/1 3rd (-1pt)

Lay bets: Highland Dress +1pt, Woven +1pt, Graceful Magic +1pt

Total:  +2pts

HAYDOCK 4.25

At first, a nice looking 8 runner class 3 race with a couple of known frontrunners but I have got negatives against 5 of the field and I would look to lay (Wedding Date + So Sharp + She Can Dance + Sound Of Iona + She Can Boogie) most of them because they may fail to stay the distance if there is a fast early pace, which I expect there will be, in 3rd top spot overall is Dancing Feet but that is using a time recorded on an AW surface, my 2nd top-rated is Betsey Trotter the one I expect to set the pace and it could try to steal the race from the front but I think the jockey on ARISTOCRATIC LADY 13/8 will cover the move and go on to complete its hattrick, I suspect it will be the favourite.

Aristocratic Lady 13/8 1st (+1.625) Betfair SP (2.24)

Lay bets: Wedding Date +1pt, So Sharp +1pt, She Can Dance +1pt, Sound Of Iona +1pt, She Can Boogie +1pt

Total: +6.625pts

ASCOT 4.45

I can find a couple of frontrunning types in the field of 10 here and also 4 to lay (Whelans Way + Bay Watch + Spirited Guest + Princess Power) all 4 of them race as though they will be better over a longer trip and may get outpaced in the early stages, Daschas is my 3rd top-rated and does stay on strongly at the finish over this minimum trip, I expect Kick On Kick On to set the early pace and it is my 2nd top-rated horse but the jockeys 0-46 record for this stable also the horse hasn't been in good form so far this year and maybe aimed at a future target so I will be backing BLUE DE VEGA 9/2 who won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up here and the apprentices 5lb claim can swing things in its favour.

Blue De Vega 13/2 1st (+6.5pts) Betfair SP (8.67)

Lay bets: Whelan's Way +1pt, Bay Watch +1pt, Spirited Guest +1pt, Princess Power +1pt

Total: +10.5pts

HAYDOCK 4.55

A nice looking 8 runner class 4 race with a couple of known frontrunners and it could be won from the front, (Our Little Pony + Primos Comet) have negatives so I will look to lay them, the bottom weight Nibras Again won last time out but this rise in class will catch it out so I will add it to my lay list, Canford Bay may be in the grips of the handicapper of a rating of 81, Outrage is one the 2 possible pacesetters, Seen The Lyte could go well but my money will be on GLORY FIGHTER 9/2 and if it gets to the fore in this race it could prove hard to catch.

Glory Fighter 9/2 1st (+4.5pts) Betfair SP (5.28)

Lay bets: Our Little Pony +1pt, Primo's Comet +1pt

Total: +6.5pts

5:00 Ripon Racing Tips & Lay Best (14th July)

RIPON 5.00

A race that perhaps should be left alone, I would look to lay (Wild Flower who looks to want a longer trip + Storm Lightning who hasn't shown much lately and will be trying to stay on too late) Kibaar has a good time from 2018 but the jockeys 1-31 record for the stable is enough to put me off, Alba Del Sole likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly, my money will be riding on TILSWORTH ROSE 11/2 who is the only known frontrunner in the field and does have the best speed figure from 2019/20 so if getting to the front it should prove hard to catch.

Tilsworth Rose 15/2 3rd (-1pt)

Lay bets: Wild Flower -8pts,  Storming Light +1pt

Total: -8pts

RIPON 6.05

A poor class 6 race with 11 runners but only 2 of them have recorded speed figures but there is a couple of 3yo in the race which muddies the water as the race won't take much winning, also I cannot see who will set the pace, I could lay 5 horses (Jorvik Prince who may find this too far + as will Oriental Splendour + Harrys Ridge + Champagne Angel + Tigerinmytank may all need further) my 2nd top-rated is ROUND THE ISLAND 6/4 who will be staying on strongly at the finish while KODIMOOR 16/1 who is my top-rated likes to track the leaders and they stay on resolutely so it must be worth an each-way punt at the price, it would have been my sole selection if it wasn't for the stables 0-10 at this course with its older horses and the jockeys 0-4 record.

Round The Island 7/4 1st (+1.75pts)
Kodimorr 16/1 4th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Jorvik Prince +1pt, Oriental Splendour +1pt, Harry Ridge +1pt, Champagne Angel +1pt, Tigerinmytank +1pt

AYR 6.50

There are a few lightly raced types with five 3yo runners and they could improve without warning, there are 2 known frontrunners in the race and they are my 3rd top and top-rated so they could do enough to win this race from the front, Cookie Dunedin has a time at Hamilton that would make it my top-rated but doesn't want fast ground, GLORY FIGHTER 7/1 and MR WAGYU 15/2 are the 2 front runners and I will be backing them both hoping at least one of them can stay on strongly enough to repel all challengers.

Mr Wagyu 15/2 3rd (-1pt)
Glory Fighter 14/1 7th (1pts)
