7:30 Chelmsford Racing Tips & Lay Bets (12th March)

CHELMSFORD 7.30 

Only 5 runners and I can only find (Lord Riddiford) to lay, the bottom weight Airshow should be another lay as this trip might be too short on this surface and timewise it needs to improve, that leaves 3 others and I will look to dutch them all as I cannot split them, CORINTHIA KNIGHT 5/1 is a possible frontrunner and if getting to the front it could prove dangerous and its best time from 2018 would make it 2nd top-rated overall, VERNE CASTLE 10/3 is only rated 1lb higher than RESTLESS ROSE 6/4 on just 2019/20 c/d times but the former has an even better time from 2018 that would make it top-rated overall, all 3 have good jockey stats while Restless Rose has the best trainer stats.

Its one of those days with another race where I will be dutching horses to hopefully make a profit, I will look to lay (Stopdworldnletmeoff) I could quite easily add Tilsworth Rose, Bernies Boy and Amazing Amaya to the lay list but 2 of them are not at the top of the handicap for no reason although I think both of them might prefer a longer trip while the other has a very interesting positive looking jockey booking, I will be dutching, KYLLUKEY 7/2, CUBAN SPIRIT 11/1, SUPERSEDED 9/2 and Awake In Asia 9/1, the latter 3 have all been known to lead before and could dominate the race while the first-named could be the one to prosper if they go off too fast and fade entering the final furlong.

1:25 Lingfield Racing Tips & Lay Bets (29th February)

LINGFIELD 1.25

Not a bad race for a class 6 affair and there is some known early pace in the field but 8 of the 10 runners are all on double-figure losing streaks and I will look to lay 4 of them (Dazacam 3/1 + Tiger Lyon 15/2 + Autumn Splendour 13/2 + Porto Ferro 8/1) Bernies Boy has a time from 2018 that could see it make the frame, if SUPERSEDED 7/1 wasn't one of those on long losing runs, 11 in the case of this one, it would be the sole bet, it is a frontrunning sort and in the make-up of this race stall 7 might not be too bad at all but there is CUBAN SPIRIT 10/1 who is the other known frontrunning sort, is better drawn in stall 2 and it won its last but one race so is in form but I will be baking them both hoping they dominate from the off and hold the rest at bay.

There's only 6 runners in this class 2 race and 3 of them have been known to lead so it should be a true run affair, I will look to lay (Top Breeze 5/2) who may need further to show its best and would also need to improve timewise to win here, Alsvinder has a time from 2017 that would make it my top-rated but hasn't been anywhere near that recently, Verne Castle is another with a fast time but also from 2017 and has only produced slow times recently, Thegreatestshowman hasn't shown much in its 2 runs this year but could go well if at its best, top-weighted Watchable has good trainer/jockey stats so connections maybe expecting a big run here but I will be backing ROYAL BIRTH 13/8 who has 3 wins and 4 places from 9 runs over this c/d and the jockey booking is very good according to the stats and it should be contesting the lead from the off and then stay on the stronger at the finish.

12:50 Southwell Racing Tips & Lays (30th January)

SOUTHWELL 12.50 

There's nothing I can confidently lay in this race although I think First Excel may struggle over this five-furlong trip, looking towards finding the winner it is a race I cannot narrow down to less than four candidates, MOVEONUP 9/2 hasn't any course form but has a decent time at Chelmsford and I think it might take to this surface, GUPTA 25/1 has decent trainer stats and very good jockey stats and timewise it ought to make the frame, this will only be its 8th race although it is still a maiden, HARRY'S RIDGE 4/1 is another that has no course form but its best Wolverhampton time puts it in the mix and also has good trainer/jockey stats and this will only be its 6th race and on the AW tracks its been placed on both its runs, AMAZING AMAYA 13/2 is my top rated and it was over this c/d so has to be one I back, I will dutch all four selections but tilting in favour of my top rated horse.

CHELMSFORD 6.30 

I've got 2 horses on my list to lay in this race (Moon Trouble + Restless Rose) who both might find this trip too short for them to show their best, but winner wise im still struggling to narrow it down to less than 3, the bottomweight Dynamo Walt would be in the mix on its best 2018 time but was way below that level for the whole of 2019, YOURE COOL 11/1 is my top rated on just 2019/20 c/d times so has to carry some of my cash and is one of only 2 known frontrunners in the race it could prove hard to catch if getting to the front, CHITRA 7/4 hasnt any c/d form but has a time on this surface from Lingfield which would see it go close but would need to improve timewise for the switch to this course to win the race but has very good jockey stats which make me think connections are expecting it go very well here, VERNE CASTLE 13/2 is 2nd top rated on just 2019/20 c/d times but a good few spots below my top rated but its best time from 2018 would definitely put it in with a chance, I will be dutching all 3 of them but maybe to varying levels.

Of the 12 runners I have several marked down as being out of form, there is a few that I will look to lay (Emilys Sea - Murquaab - Carla Koala - Sandy Heartbeat - Sing Bertie) Spennys Lass is on a losing run of 24 which is off putting, I have got four horses that have a chance of winning this race, Alaskan Bay 2nd top overall and Kyllukeytop rated on its c/d times from early in 2019 are capable of winning the race but are well out of form lately but I could possibly back them both as covering bets just in case they spring back to form without warning, the two that I will be concentrating on are SUPERSEDED 5/1 and *CUBAN SPIRIT 10/3 they are both joint 3rd top rated overall, the former could set the pace and stall 9 might not be too bad in the make-up of this race with very little other known early paced types, from stall 11 the latter could get a good tow across to the rails and then get a good position from which to attack late on and did win last time out so is in good form.

5:25 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (12th October)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.25 

Spirited Guest 10/3 won last time out and could go well again here but isn't well drawn in the make-up of this race SHOW ME THE BUBBLY 5/1 likes to track the leaders and could get a good tow into the race from stall 4 Awsaaf 7/1 my 3rd top-rated should be running on at the finish here and is perhaps an each-way bet in this race Major Blue 16/1 an outsider here and would need to improve to win this race but it only 3 years old so could still improve The Defiant 7/1 has only slow times over this course and distance, it should be trying to stay on at the finish but maybe too late here SUPERSEDED 9/1 not usually well drawn in stall 9 for a front running type but in the make-up of this race it could be ok and if allowed to dictate it could be dangerous Thegreyvtrain 13/2 is another possible pacesetter and coming out of stall 5 but its final times have been relatively slow Ty Rock Brandy 6/1 has only slow times recently and I have to go back to 2017 to find a decent time even that wouldn't be quite good enough to win this race Davids Beauty 16/1 the 3rd possible frontrunner but has only slow times to show over this course and distance and on a losing run of 13. Dodgy Bob 25/1 this ones 0-18 on the AW tracks and a losing run of 28 and may need further to show its merit. Teepee Time 12/1 has only a slow time over this course and distance even when it won and this doesn't look its favourite surface. 

SUMMARY: This 5 furlong dash is quite intriguing, theres 3 front running sorts in the race so it should be a true run affair, there are a few I can discount from my list of potential winners, SUPERSEDED 9/1 is a possible frontrunner housed in stall 9 with 2 other possible leaders housed on its inside it might need a degree of luck, I will have to have some money on it just incase it was allowed to dictate its own pace and then kick off the bend, Spirited Guest is the other 3rd top rated horse but this ones apprentice moves it into 2nd top spot, it won last time out so is in good heart and should go well again here if getting a clear run from stall 8 where its drawn between 2 fast starters, my original 2nd top rated is Awsaaf who usually runs on at the finish over the minimum trip, my original top rated is the 3 year old SHOW ME THE BUBBLY 5/1 who is being ridden by a good 7lb claiming apprentice which moves it further clear and will be carrying most of my money but I will have to back them both.
