In this race 5 of the 9 runners have been known to lead and my 4 top rated are all front running types so unless they cut each others throats trying to lead the other 5 entrants will struggle to get involved in the race, Verne Castle comes out 3rd best on just 2020 c/d times and 3rd top on overall figures, Alsvinder has the 2nd best time for just 2020 c/d times but it does its winning in lower class races so may struggle a bit in this race, Lomu hasn't any recent c/d form to work with and its best from 2018 would make it my top rated by just 2lbs but one that I will be backing is TROPICS 14/1 (EW) who from stall 3 should be able to get a good prominent position, it is my 2nd top rated on just 2020 c/d times and also 2nd top overall missing top spot by 2lbs, the trainer has a decent 15% win ratio at this course with their older horses and at the price has to be an each way wager.

This race has got five 3yo’s in a field of 8 so its harder to analyse properly and any stakes will have to be kept on the low side, of the 3yo’s Smokey and The Sunday Club could do best the formers best time over this c/d while the latter’s best time came from Lingfield, I expect YOU'RE COOL 13/2 will set the pace to the race and if able to repeat its best time from 2019 it could be the winner of the race being my top rated but its times this year have been a good few spots slower, top rated this year and 2nd best overall is INDIAN PURSUIT 3/1 who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish and I will be backing both horses to cover the angles.
