A nice looking 9 runner race with a couple of known front runners but trying to find the winner is a struggle, I would look to lay Dark Shot if of any value, Spring Romance 7/4 is the favourite but I will either take it by laying it, which looks the better option, or i could dutch 3 runners instead, Samovar 11/2 is a possible pacesetter and from stall 4 it could gain control of the rails if nothing on its inside doesn't change their usual tactics and would be on my list to dutch, Hammer Gun 14/1 has a good speed figure from 2019 but hasn't been in form lately and may need this run for fitness, Zylan 14/1 would also be on my dutch if in better form recently and does quite well over this c/d, one who is on my dutching list is FANTASY KEEPER 9/1 who I think in my opinion is overpriced and being the other known front runner could race to the fore from the off and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch but it hasn't any form over this c/d but its time from Newcastle would make it my top rated overall.

There might be 13 runners and 3 known front runners but still not any easier to analyse, The Golden Cue is 9/4 favourite but its recent c/d win resulted in a slow time and because of that looks poor value, the 3 at the top of the handicap are the 3 known pacesetting types and I think Phantasmal might do best them and is drawn nearest to the rails of the 3, Le Manege Enchante is my 2nd top rated on just 2020 c/d times and 4th top overall plus it does have the coveted stall 1 draw and likes to track the leaders and could gain control of the rails just behind the leaders ready to stay on strongly at the finish so could make the frame, I will be backing two horses in this race firstly QAARAART 12/1 who hasn't any c/d form to its name but it does have a time on this surface at Newcastle which makes it my top rated but because it hasn't run over this c/d before i will also be backing ARCHIMEDES 28/1 who is my top rated on just 2020 c/d times and I will be going with two each way punts in this race mainly because i think both selections are value prices but my stakes wont be at full strength as consistency isn't a keyword in this race.
