5:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (1st November)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.00

A rather complex 6 furlong class 4 sprint, the early pace may well be set by Politics but this one hasn't any AW form and would need to improve on its best rating on turf over this distance but being a 3yo it could well improve, until I see the betting I have no idea if there's anything of value to lay, there is only 3lbs separating my top 4 rated horses but one of those 4, Mutabaahy, hasn't been in the best of form recently and its best speed figure was recorded last year so I would need to see some sign of rejuvenation before backing it, the same could apply to El Hombre who hasn't been as good so far this year and the jockeys 0-6 record doesn't fill me with confidence on its chance of winning, Youllovemewheniwin is being ridden by a 3lb claiming apprentice which moves it into 2nd top spot overall but only 1lb below WUDACUDASHUDA 9/2 who is also being ridden by an apprentice claiming 3lbs but this one has been known to contest the lead before and even from stall 9 it should get a clear run as the other known early pace is in stall 7 so my selection should be able to follow it across to the rails and at least gain a good position from which to stay on the stronger nearing the finish.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00

Another class 4 race but this time a dash over 5 furlongs and there are 5 horses amongst the 9 runners that have been known to lead before although both Red Walls stall 2 and Charming Kid 4/1 stall 7, would only set a slow pace if allowed to dictate the early pace and I would look to lay the latter if its a single figure price, Canford Bay stall 8 is another that only usually leads when nothing else wants to take on the pacesetter role, Outrage stall 9 would need to improve time wise even if leading which leaves me with BOOM THE GROOM 20/1 (EW) who from stall 5 could get away quickly and gain control on the rails and it then should prove hard to catch if repeating its best rating which it recorded last year, this is its first run of the year over this course and distance and I hope it rejuvenates it back to its best and as usual with it being a double figure price I would go with an each way bet.

Boom The Groom 20/1 8th -2pts
