7:30 Kempton Racing Tips (29th October)

KEMPTON 7.30

On paper a really nice looking class two eight runner sprint but its a bloody hard race to analyse, there is three known front running types in the race so there should be a fast early pace but one of them Enduring may not be fast enough to get in front in this race as I have Fivethousandtoone 11/2 as my joint 2nd top rated but that is using a time recorded on the turf at Newbury so I'm not sure what to expect here but it is a 3yo so could be improving and it does have good trainer/jockey stats, I will be looking to lay Mishal Star 7/1 if its a single figure price as it was a slow run affairs when it won and finished 3rd over this course and distance and may have been flattered but it is a 3yo and another that could improve but hopefully not here, Gellhorn hasn't any form on English AW tracks and only ran once on it in Ireland but its best time on turf at Newmarket would make it my top rated but you would be backing it a little hopefully so i will go with the other joint 2nd top rated who is CORINTHIA KNIGHT 6/1 who did record its best time on this surface at Chelmsford and its best time over this course and distance was the top rating just for this course and distance and this one also has good trainer/jockey stats and I am hoping it can lead all the way and looks the value call in the race.

Corinthia Knight 18/1 6th -1pt

KEMPTON 8.00

This race looks poor even for a class 6 affair and any stakes will be kept to a minimum and to be honest I very nearly left the race alone, I know Seeking Perfection is a front running type so there should be a decent early pace which will help the chances of the one I will be backing who seems to like a fast pace to aim at and that is BARRINGTON 9/1 (EW) who finished 3rd five runs ago over this distance at Lingfield in a class 5 race so this is a step down in class and it also has a time over this course and distance from 2020 which is also very competitive for this class of race, its last four runs have either been on turf or over a longer distance so they can be ignored and the apprentice jockeys 7lb claim will help its cause, the trainer is in good form winning 8 races from 39 runners in the last 2 weeks but its record of this horse is no wins but six placed efforts from its 22 runs on an artificial surface which doesn't inspire confidence but it could be a decent each way punt and it has won twice on turf so its not that the horse isn't genuine and maybe today it will break its AW duck.

Barrington 10/1 2nd +1.5pts

Total on the day +0.5pts
