4:55 Lingfield Racing Tips (16th April)

LINGFIELD 4.55

ALABLAQ this one is usually held up for a late run and its speed figure in this class of race is the best in the field and has good trainer/jockey stats.

CAHORS has only a slow time over this distance and surface at Chelmsford to its name and this one looks better when racing over the minimum distance.

STRIKE has made the frame in three of its five races but hasn't won a race and on the form shown so far it might be better when sent over a longer trip.

DIVA DANCER hasn't made the frame in any of its four runs but its best form came on the Tapeta surface and is usually held up for a late run, the market will be a guide to its chance.

STORM MELODY has a speed figure from 2021 that would see it make the frame in this race and might be worth an each way bet.

NUBOUGH usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on nearing the finish but time wise it has a bit to find but I expect it to be an outsider.

SO SAVVY is making its handicap debut but would need to improve dramatically on what its shown so far to win this race but if backed strongly it could be dangerous.

COOL SPIRIT could be the one to set the pace to this race but would need to improve time wise to win this race but if allowed a very easy lead it could be very dangerous.

SOYOUNIQUE may be better when racing over a longer distance and may also need to drop back into a class 6 before it shows its true worth.

PABLO DEL PUEBLO is usually held up races in midfield and is capable of producing a good speed figure but all its best work comes in class 6 races so may struggle here.

SUMMARY: There is a few of the runners that I could look to lay in this race, Nubough 7/1 may not get to the front in time to win this race and has poorish trainer/jockey stats, Cahors who wants a shorter distance, Strike 6/1 who might prefer a longer trip, Soyounique 6/1 and Pablo Del Pueblo 7/1 who both might need to drop into class 6 races before they can show their best, Cool Spirit 8/1 is the only known front running type in this race so could be dangerous if allowed a very soft lead, Storm Melody 9/2 could make the frame in this race and an each way bet might pay dividends but isn't really an each way price but at least you wouldn't lose money if it made the frame, I backed ALABLAQ 7/2 last time it ran when it was backed from 14/1 right down to 11/2 and then got beat in a photo and has been found an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways in this race and with positive trainer/jockey stats I assume connections are expecting it to win this race.

Alablaq 7/2 1st +3.5pts
