5:35 Southwell Racing Tips (9th November)

SOUTHWELL 5.35

Only 7 runners with three 3yo’s amongst them and they could all be dangerous and I cannot dismiss any of them but as usual I will stick with the proven, firstly I think that I will lay Moveonup 10/3 who is favourite but I think it might struggle to stay the distance with a fast pace and in this race that will more than likely happen here, there is only one known front running type in the race so if CROSSE FIRE 11/2 sets the pace it could be hard to catch as it is my 2nd top rated and then it is only 1lb below PUCHITA who is sitting in top spot, so I will have to back both of them to cover the angles.

Puchita 10/3 3rd (-1pt)

SOUTHWELL 6.05

This looks a very competitive dash for a class 4 race plus there's 2 natural front runners and 2 others that can lead if nothing else wants to, if Dark Shot 9/1 decides to lead or at least contest the lead then it might do best of those racing prominently and at the price might be worth backing with an each way wager, the bottom weight Samovar 8/1 is capable of a fast time but doesn't seem to win much lately and hasn't won a race so far this year so another that could be worth backing each way in this race, Young Tiger 11/2 is another that can produce a fast time but usually when chasing other horses but isn't a big enough price to back each way but it could make the frame, my money in this race will be riding on QUEEN OF KALAHARI 9/2 who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish and the booked jockey does have a decent strike rate for the stable in fact its a 29% win ratio with the stables older horses and it only drops to 25% when riding anything from this stable so it looks as though the connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways in this race.

12:55 Southwell Racing Tips (29th November)

SOUTHWELL 12.55

Of the 13 runners I can find 7 that have some degree of a chance of winning this race, Red Stripes could attempt to lead all the way here but I have four with faster times to their names, Arzaak has a time from 2018 that would make it joint top rated but the jockeys 0-4 record for this stable is a little off-putting it could go well but im not sure it can win the race, Piazon is my joint 3rd top rated and has a positive jockey booking and could make the frame, Decision Maker is my other joint top rated but again its a 2018 time and has been quite a bit below that level so far this year and the jockey booking doesnt make it look like its a trier in this race, my money will be riding on YOUNG TIGER 7/1 who failed to complete its hattrick last timeout where it used up too much energy to close the gap on the leaders and then had nothing left nearing the finish but has been found a chance to get back to winning ways here and could get a good tow into the race with a frontrunner drawn in the stall 3 beside it.

SOUTHWELL 3.10

I hope all 8 take part here in case I find an each-way shot, I think I can discard 3 of the runners but its fairly tight between the other 5 but I will be backing QUEEN OF KALAHARI 7/2 in this race as its drawn in stall 2 and its the only known frontrunner in the field so I am hoping it can lead all the way in this race and it does have a positive jockey booking.

KEMPTON 6.00

Another hard race to analyse to a conclusion and 7 of the 12 runners have some chance of going well here but I think I can narrow it down to two bets in this race, Dizzy G has a good time from Wolverhampton that would make it competitive but that's if it takes to this surface, Swift Approval who likes to track the leaders has a time from 2018 that would make it dangerous and the same applies to Polybius who is a hold up type, my top rated on this year's c/d figures is LAST PAGE 5/1 who will be held up for a late run hoping the early pace isn't too frantic I will also be backing the bottom weight SPARKALOT 7/1 who is a frontrunner and could gain control of the rails from stall 2 and its best rating from 2018 makes it my top rated.

6:30 Chelmsford Racing Tips (26th September)

CHELMSFORD 6.30

A class 7 affair which doesn't inspire me much usually but I think I might have found something worth a small wager despite there being a lack of early pace in the race, Ar Saoirse comes out 3rd top but this one can find this trip too far if there's a fast early pace but it maybe ok in the make-up of this race, Prince Rock comes out 2nd top-rated and usually likes to track the leaders, top spot goes to BREATHOFFRESHAIR 7/1 who hasn't run over this c/d so far this year but its time from 2018 puts it at the top of my list and I think the jockey booking looks a positive move.

Breathoffreshair 10/1 9th

CHELMSFORD 7.00

Only 6 runners in a class 4 race but again no known pacesetters in the race which always limits my stakes, Excellent George hasn't any c/d form this year but has recorded a decent time both 2017 and 2018 so could go well but top rated is CONSEQUENCES 6/1 and will be carrying some of my money but it can struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace so this race might be run ok for it and might be worth a small wager.

Consequences 6/1 6th

SOUTHWELL 8.15

A full complement of 14in this class 6 race but there is a couple of front runners in this race which helps my cause and Monumental is one of those that might try to lead but I'm not convinced this surface will suit it as it seems to prefer the Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton, Mr Strutter and the 3-year-old Awa Bomba are my joint 3rd top-rated, my 2nd top-rated is Catapult who is usually staying on at the finish at this distance but its on a loss of 12 which is a little bit off-putting, my top rated is QUEEN OF KALAHARI 11/4 who is also the other likely pacesetter and if this one does get to the front it could prove very hard to catch but its forecast to be the favourite and I have an aversion to backing favourites but a winners a winner whatever the price.
