3:55 Newmarket Racing Tips (24th August)

NEWMARKET 3.55 (7.0)

This looks a nice Listed sprint and I have something I fancy quite strongly but as its dropped in class I have the feeling it will be a short-priced favourite, Raucous has a time from Goodwood that would see it competitive but I'm not sure if its quite classy enough to win this race and the same applies to Fille De Reve on a time it did last year at Haydock again in a lower class race, I Could Do Better and Land Of Legends are a couple of 3-year-olds that could be dangerous but haven't any form at this distance but the drop in distance could be ideal for them but then again maybe not but the other 3-year-old PRETTY POLLYANNA 5/4 recorded a fast time over this c/d earlier this year and has been running in much higher class races and has to be the one to back.

NEWMARKET 5.05 (7.0)

This class 4 race looks another cracking race on paper but I can find negatives against quite a few of the runners, Sandridge Lad could be a pacesetter but its form points to it wanting some cut in the going to show its best, Excessable, Han Solo Berger and Leo Minor have got pieces of form that would make them competitive but they are all on double-figure losing runs, Nibras Again has good form to its name but they are all on the level type of courses so I'm not sure it can repeat it on this undulating course but my money will be riding on the one with the highest speed figure on my graphs for this year JACK THE TRUTH 6/1 and this is the only other known frontrunner in the field and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch.

WINDSOR 5.50 (7.5)

In this 8 runner race there's a distinct lack of early pace but something will decide to lead but which one I've no idea unless the 3-year-old Baby Steps who usually likes to track the leaders takes on the role, Duplication is dropped in class here and but its first run since 2017 wasn't inspiring so I would need to see some hint of retained talent before backing this one, Tin Hat did a time over this c/d which is beginning to look more and more like a flukey time for it but it is only a 3 year old so could spring back to that level which would see it makes the frame but my money will be riding on OEIL DE TIGRE 13/2 who won in this class the time before last but didn't stay the 7th furlong last time out and is soon dropped back to where it has every chance of getting back to winning ways and the apprentices 7lb claim moves it even further clear at the top of my ratings.

Oeil De Tigre 8/1 4th
