6:45 Windsor Racing Tips (3rd July)

WINDSOR 6.45 

6F Class 2. Nine Runners A very hard race to analyse because of a lack of early pace but Expert Opinion has led before under sufferance when nothing else wanted to so could do the same here and anything with an uncontested lead can be dangerous but its rating on the AW tracks is relatively slow and its not made the frame in 4 attempts on grass. Silver Samurai doesn't like really fast ground but they are prone to over watering here as the river Thames runs alongside the course so it cant be discounted until I've seen the going for myself. Dora Penny is my 4th top rated using a 2022 course and distance rating and Aphelios my joint 2nd top rated also recorded its best figure here last year, the other joint 2nd top rated is Lethal Nymph who showed its best at Doncaster last year so maybe this course doesn't suit it as well as a relatively flat course. My money will be riding on the top weight TANMAWWY 11/4 who if capable of reproducing its best rating from last year would be winning this race a shade cosily, the trainer does well here and the jockey booking looks a significant one.

3:07 Chester Racing Tips (1st July)

CHESTER 3.07 

I can see 3 known front running types in this race and 2 of them are my 1st and 3rd top rated horses in this race. I'm not sure I will find anything of value to lay in this race which isn't a help in how to make a profit from the race, Cuban Breeze is my 3rd top rated and comes out of stall 2 which is ideal for a front running type, if they go off too fast then Roman Dragon could be the one to prosper as it likes to track the leaders and then stay on nearing the finish if ABERAMA GOLD 5/1 was drawn nearer the inside instead of stall 8 I would be more confident but if getting to the front and reproduces its best Hamilton rating from last year it would win a shade cosily.

Of the 3yo’s at the bottom of the handicap Swift Asset (non-runner) may do best but any of the trio could improve enough to win this race but up to now they have not proven they are good enough but their presence means my stakes will be kept low in this race, the early pace is likely to come from either Swayze or Spring Bloom and the latter has one course and distance speed figure which would see it winning this race but that is now beginning to look like a one off result, going back to 2021 ratings then Crimson Sand could run well here as could Vespasian. If the going is good to firm my money will be riding on GLAMOROUS BREEZE 10/1 who likes to race in midfield before running on strongly at the finish.

DONCASTER 8.30 

I can find 2 front running types in this race and PEARLE D’OR 10/1 (EW) could do best being my 4th top rated but this one doesn't want really fast ground so the forecast good going should suit it and if allowed an easy lead it could possibly lead all the way but has to be an each way bet at the price Fantasy Master won over this distance in a slow run race and may struggle to stay the distance in this race while Brazen Bolt may be better over further so 2 possible lays. As If By Chance is my top rated but has never won rated this highly so may be in the grips of the handicapper but could run another good race but find one or two too good for it, Ghathanfar is my 3rd top rated and likes to track the leaders but has been out of form recently. I'm hoping that CAIRN GORM 7/1 can get away smartly here and track the leaders and stay on the stronger nearing the finish but I will be having 2 bets to cover the angles.

7:10 Windsor Racing Tips (12th June)

WINDSOR 7.10 

5F 10 Runner Class 2 A nice looking dash with 4 known front running types and my top 3 ratings are in those 4 so if they don't go off too hard it should be won from the front, Isle Of Lismore hasn't been in good form time wise since 2021 so maybe worth taking on, Night On Earth is joint 3rdtop rated on my figures so could be the one to prosper if they do fade nearing the finish, Fernado Rah is the other joint 3rd top rated and Swayze is my 2nd top rated both using a 2021 ratings so i am hoping they don't come back to that sort of level but I'm hoping that MOUNTAIN PEAK 14/1 (EW) wasn't flattered by the rating it recorded at Haydock then it should win a shade comfortably and at the price has to be done as an each way bet.

1:30 Windsor Racing Tips (29th May)

WINDSOR 1.30 

A class 4 sprint where I think A Sure Welcome could be the most likely one to set the pace to the race and being my joint 3rd top rated it could go well from the front. I'm not sure there is anything of value to lay in this race so I can't narrow the field down via that method, As If By Chance who is usually held up for a late run is the other joint 3rd top rated but will need some luck in running to become competitive but could possibly make the frame but I doubt it will be an each way price. Lord P is actually my top rated but it will most likely need this run for fitness which puts me off its chances of winning and I expect it will be an outsider in this race, Beyond Equal likes to track the leaders and comes out in 5th top spot on my own unique speed ratings and being to the fore it could be another to do enough to make the frame but not if all those rated higher reproduce their best. My money will be riding on Lequinto who is another hold up type and being drawn near to where the early pace is most likely to come from it should get a good tow into the race and is dropped in class to run in this race and the jockey has a 1-3 record when riding the stables older horses.

2:35 Carlisle Racing Tips (22nd May)

CARLISLE 2.35 

A field of 9 for a class 4 dash on hopefully good to firm ground and if it is then I would look to lay Princess Karine 13/2 who prefers some cut in the going and the same applies to Huddle Up 11/2 and both will be lays if single figure prices, Albegone has the top rating but may need this run for fitness, Glorious Rio stays on at the finish but this race might not be run to suit it, there is one horse that has been known to lead if nothing else wants to I'm hoping that OUR ABSENT FRIEND 15/2 can lead here and then kick for home and lead all the way.

To be honest this class four, seven runner sprint is a race where it might be best not to have a bet, I can't work out what will set the early pace which always makes analysis that much harder, Westmorian races as though further might suit it better so this race might not be run to suit it, Thaki can produce a good rating but usually in lower class races and I can only see me putting PAPA COCKTAIL 5/2 into a multiple bet, it has won its last 2 races so is it tip top form and has been found a good opportunity to complete its hattrick.

A class 4 dash where 3 of the 8 runners have been known to lead before so it should be a fast run race for its class, La Roca Del Fuego is one of them but its only turf win came at a lower grade of racing, I will look to lay Antiphon who might be better when tackling a longer distance, Faustus is another possible pacesetter and my 3rd top rated so could go well but they might push each other too hard in the early stages which might play into the hands of GLAMOROUS BREEZE 7/1 who usually races in midfield before saying on strongly at the finish but this one would like the going to be good to firm to show its best form.

A class 3 sprint with 10 entrants of which 2 are known as front running types and if Bear Profit gets to the front it could do enough to make the frame so maybe worth an each way punt, Count Otto comes out as my 3rd top rated on my own speed ratings and usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish so another that could make the frame and a possible each way prospect, Lethal Nymph comes out in 2nd top spot and another that likes to track the leaders but my money will be riding on INDIAN CREAK 5/1 who likes to run in midfield before running on strongly at the finish and has good trainer/jockeys stats making me think the connections are expecting a big run in this race.

LINGFIELD 3.30 

Class 5 race with 10 runners over 5 furlongs and 3 known front running types, if Khurumbi is a single figure price I will lay it as I'm not sure this surface will suit it and further might also be better for it, 2 of the possible pacesetters, Howzak and Red Walls, have been in poor form lately, the former could do best of the pair but usually gives an indication when a return to form is imminent Micks Spirit is my 4th top rated just 1lb below Saaheq in 3rd top spot so either or both could make the frame, I will be hoping that WINGS OF A DOVE 7/1 the other possible pacesetter can lead from stall 2 and gain control of the rails and once hitting the front could prove hard to catch.

A 10 runner race over 5 furlongs in a class 6 affair and 4 front running types in the field, Golden Hal and Astapor should ensure the early gallop is a good one although the latter races as though further would suit it better and might be worth laying if of value to do so, Red Allure is my 3rd top rated and likes to track the leaders, I have joint top rated horses, DAPPER MAN 15/2 in stall 5 and KING CRIMSON 4/1 in stall 7 and both are front running types so whichever one wins the battle could be the one to go on for the win but i honestly cannot split them and will be backing them both.

An 11 runner class 6 race over 5 furlongs with 4 known front running types amongst them, one horse I will be looking to lay is Bernard Speirpoint who seems to be a much better horse when racing over further, if Thegreyvtrain is a single figure price its another I would think about laying as its not running well lately despite being at the front in the early stages of a race and that's in slow run races which I doubt this one will be, We’re Reunited is my 3rd top rated and likes to stay on at the finish and further might suit it better but it could still make the frame here, FORESEEABLE FUTURE 11/4 is one of the likely leaders and being my 2nd top rated it could prove hard to catch if getting to the front and with the apprentice jockeys claim it only misses top spot by 1lb behind SPARKED 15/2 who usually tracks the leaders before staying on strongly at the finish as its so close between the pair of them I will be backing them both.

Class 4 race with 9 runners over 5 furlongs with 4 front running types in the field so it should be a true run race, the top weight Treacherous hasn't any form over today's distance but it might get outpaced here before staying on too late nearing the finish but if others falter it could possibly make the frame, any others that could be lays all look likely to be double figure prices and represent poor value, Son And Sannie who is my 4th top rated could do best of those coming from off the pace especially if the top 3 all go off too fast and fade nearing the finish, Coronation Cottage who is my 3rd top rated does its best form and ratings in lower class races so may be outclassed at this level, Just That Lord is my 2nd top rated and recorded its best speed figure over today's course and distance last year while my top rated LA ROCA DEL FUEGO 4/1 also recorded its best rating over this course and distance but it was recorded this year and if getting the fractions right could get back to winning ways in this race and i like the booking of the apprentice jockey who takes 5lb off its weight and has a one win from two rides for the stable.

2:10 Ayr Racing Tips (25th July)

AYR 2.10 

A class 6 race which doesn't look to have much depth too it, I think the early pace could be set by Earn Your Stripes 5/1 but time wise this one would need to improve a good few spots so might be worth taking on with a lay bet, Maple Jack 9/2 ran on over this distance in a slow run race and might struggle to stay the distance if there's a decent fast paced early gallop, Sir Benedict 16/1 is my 3rd top rated and usually races in midfield before trying to stay on at the finish and could be worth an each way punt, Absolute Dream 7/1 comes out in 2nd top spot and has achieved within 1lb the same rating for last year and this year so it could go well here and might be worth backing each way but my money will be riding on ELLADORA 10/1 (EW) who has good trainer and jockey stats making me think connections are expecting it to go well here and a repeat of its time from Hamilton this year would be good enough to win this race and at the price it has to be an each way wager.

A field of 13 runners with a couple of front runners amongst them, the only lay that I can see that might be of value to do so is Jet Set Go 6/1 who may need further to show its best form but its also a 3yo which I am not keen on laying as they can improve without warning but I think this one was flattered when it finished 2nd last time out in a relatively slow run race and it probably wont be able to pick up the leaders in this race, Red Allure 3/1 and Captain Corcoran 12/1 are my joint 3rd top rated horses and the latter is one of the front runners in the race so if allowed to dictate a slightly slower pace it could do enough to at least make the frame so might be worth an each way interest, the 3yo Jungle Bee 6/1 is my 2nd top rated horse but if BRAZEN BELLE 25/1 (EW) can reproduce the rating it achieved at Ripon earlier this year it would win this race with a little bit too spare but the poor trainer/jockey stats are a little bit off-putting so my stakes will be kept a bit lower than normal but at the price I have to back it and hopefully an each way punt will pay dividends.

This looks like a competitive race with just 5 runners, Airshow might need a bit further to show its best form and may stay on too late to catch the pacesetter but it does come out 2nd best on my figures so could win if the better rated one doesn't reproduce its best, I had to go back to 2020 to find Hey Ho Lets Go best speed rating which would make it my 3rd top rated and only 1lb below the 2nd top spot position, my top rated horse is SPRING BLOOM 11/4 who is also the only known front running type in the race so if allowed to set the pace the others may struggle to peg it back in the closing stages.

Not a great race and not much I can say about most of the runners and I was going to leave the race alone until I had all the data written out in my own version of shorthand (nothing like the original) and noticed that my top rated horse *SYMBOL OF HOPE 5/2 is the only known front running type in the race but it is also the favourite and I will be hoping it leads from start and then prove too hard for the others to catch.

2:25 Ayr Racing Tips (11th July)

I was going to leave this race alone until I noticed EARN YOUR STRIPES 11/1 (EW) was entered I tipped this one up on Saturday at Hamilton where it finished too late and only managed to snatch 2nd place at the finish so if they run again here I think connections will be expecting it to go one better and this does look an easier opportunity and its a shame it ran so well at Hamilton because the price will reflect that run and it will be much shorter than the ten to one price that was forecast on the early tissue prices but hey ho a winners a winner and I will be baking it if it runs here so quickly after its last run. I am surprised at the odds available I will definitely be backing it each way at the odds.

A 9 runner race with just the one known front runner, 4 runners seem to have virtually no chance and I would expect them all to be biggish double figure prices, I think both Minhaaj and Maybe Tonight both race as though further would suit them better but they are my 3rd and 2nd top rated horses while my top rated is PRETTY SHIFTWELL 7/2 who is the aforementioned front runner so if it does set the pace it ought to prove too hard to catch and will lead all the way for the victory.

A nice looking class 5 All-Weather race with 13 runners and with 3 known front runners it should be a true run race, Lazyitis may struggle to stay the distance in a fast run race but it hasn't run over this distance on an artificial surface before so its just my opinion from looking at its turf form, Temple Bruer and Society Lion will need to improve time wise to win this race although the latter will be trying to stay on at the finish, Show Maker my 4th top rated could run to the fore but I'm not sure if its quite quick enough to lead on its own and the same applies Politics who is 3rd best on my figures but my top rated horse COOPERATION 14/1 (EW) is another front runner but its best rating comes from Chelmsford on the Polytrack surface but if taking the Tapeta surface here it could prove hard to peg back and the jockey booking looks a positive move but just in case it doesn't take to the surface I will also be backing my 2nd top rated horse *SARAH'S VERSE 8/1 (EW) who is usually held up for a late run and this race could be run to suit it, now with the betting i will be backing them both each way.

A field of 7 with 2 known front runners, King O Jungle is a 3yo who might need further to show its best and only has slow speed figures at this distance, Impeach and Bell Shot could be hidden dangers although I'm not sure exactly what they are capable of in this race, A SURE WELCOME 9/2 is the one that I think will set the pace to the race and being my 2nd top rated it could prove hard to catch and if allowed an easy lead could lead all the way but I do have LEQUINTO 4/1 rated higher and if this one had better trainer/jockey stats it might have been my sole bet but I will go with the 2 bets to cover the angles.

Just the 6 runners but luckily a couple of known front running types but I think La Roca Del Fuego and/or Spring Bloom will be setting the race up for something attacking in the closing stages although the latter might have been a bet if it wasn't for the trainers 0-31 at this course and the jockeys 1-18 records as its my 2nd top rated, Grandfather Tom hasn't shown much time wise for quite a while now so might be worth laying if a single figure price, Gherkin might need further so maybe another to lay, while the 3yo Astral Beat could be a bit of a hidden danger as it has faded over 6 furlongs so this trip might be ideal but my money will be riding on *THE PRINCE'S POET 13/2 who is my top rated and has good trainer and jockey stats.

2:15 Pontefract Racing Tips (27th June)

PONTEFRACT 2.15 

A field of 6 for this dash but with no known front running types in the race it always puts me on the backfoot and means my stakes will kept fairly low, Rhythm 15/2 might need further and this race might not be run to suit its racing style, Coleys Koko 14/1 and Lady Celia 7/1 are capable of producing a good speed figure but usually in lower class races than today's class 4 affair, Esken Rose 6/1 hasn't any distance form to its name but has faded at 6 furlongs so today's distance might be ideal, Elegant Erin 7/4 would need to improve time wise to win this race, it has won its last 3 races and might now be in the grip of the official handicapper so I will put my faith in HAVEAGOMECCA 3/1 who has decent trainer/jockey stats and could go one place better than when it finished second last time out.

I was going to omit this race from tonight's blog and as for looking for the winner I am leaving this race alone it was only when i saw the betting that I noticed how short in price True Mason 10/3 was and at that price will be looking to lay it, it did win last time out at Doncaster on good going but if the going here is good to firm as forecast then this horse who hasn't produced its best before when on the faster ground may struggle in this race.

The 2 3yo’s in this race could be dangerous, Sterling Knight 10/3 is my 3rd top rated using a c/d time recorded earlier this year while Witch Hunter 5/2 has never run on good or good to firm ground before but has a rating from the AW at Wolverhampton that would make it my 2nd top rated but price wise they are bot way too short in my opinion so I will stick with the proven and put my money on INDIAN CREAK 9/2 who has a rating over this c/d recorded this year that would see it winning this race a shade cosily but once again there isn't any known front running types in this race which is always a worry and means I will be keeping my stakes fairly low in this race as well.

Just 8 runners which is ideal if they all run, Sixcor 11/4 is my 4th top rated and has been in good form lately so could go well again here and be trying to stay on at the finish but I doubt it will get to the leader in time to win this race and at the price I will look to lay it, Hey Mr 10/1 is another who may need further but will be trying to stay on at the finish, Birkenhead 5/1 is my 3rd top rated and I usually held up for a late run, Sound Of Iona 20/1 is always capable of winning at this level but has been in poor form time wise recently and usually gives a signal when its coming into form so my money will be riding on GOWANBUSTER 11/2 who is the only known front running type in this race and if given an easy lead and allowed to set the pace it could lead all the way here.

I am always wary about betting at this course because when they water the course they are prone to over watering it and description of good to firm going is a bit off the mark, there is a couple of known front runners in this field of 9 so it should be a true run race, I will look to lay Nelson Gay 7/2 because with the good early gallop that I'm expecting this one can struggle to stay the distance plus with 1 win from 14 runs on turf its not a prolific winner, the trainer is 1-22 at this course but has what looks a positive jockey booking but if the horse doesn't stay the distance the best jockey in the world can't change that, Hello Me 5/1 is my 3rd top rated and one of the possible pacesetters here so could do enough to make the frame, Treacherous 10/1 could do best of those coming from off the pace as its my 2nd top rated but hasn't shown much in its recent runs but if fit could make the frame, my money will be riding on A SURE WELCOME 10/1 who did look to be coming into form until it ran a stinker last time out but today's jockey has a decent 18% win ratio for the stable and i will be hoping this one can lead all the way here for victory and at the double figure price it has to be given as an each way wager.

LINGFIELD 2.00 

I love the AW races mainly because the stupid racecourses keep watering the grass at the earliest opportunity and good to firm is hardly ever the going, only 6 runners here but there is 2 known front runners, I think that Ford Madox Brown 9/1 might need further to show its best and i will look to lay it if its a single figure price, the 3yo Baileys Accolade may do best of those coming from off the pace and being a youngster it could still have some improvement to come and it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it won the race but I will stick with SWISS PRIDE 3/1 who is my top rated and one of the front running types so I'm hoping it can lead all the way for victory.

There's eleven runners in this race with just Kolossos known as a front running type but it would need to improve time wise to win this race but could if allowed an easy lead it could do enough to make the frame but I doubt it could win the race but I doubt it will be of value to lay but I could look to lay Stone Circle 9/2 who might need further on good to firm ground to show its best form, Muatadel 7/1 who also doesn't seem to like good to firm ground and might struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace, and Canaria Prince 9/2 who is still a maiden after 7 runs and might be better when racing over a shorter distance, Sharrabang 20/1 is my 2nd top rated horse and could go well if it springs back to form but it hasn't shown much lately so I will be backing SINGE ANGLAIS 16/1 (EW) who becomes my top rating with the jockeys 7lb claim and they have a 2-9 win ratio for the stable on their older horses and also has good 27% trainer stats it is also dropped in class to run to run in this race and at such a big price it has to be given as an each way punt.

A ten runner race where the early pace could be set by Rhythm and it might be able to do enough from the front to make the frame as its fairly close between my sixth and 2nd top rated horses, looking for something to lay I have got 2 that I hope will be single figure prices, Temple Bruer might need further to show its best, Snow Berry who may be outclassed at this level, then there's Grandfather Tom who hasn't shown much time wise since 2020 even when it was third last time out but if finding that 2020 form again it could win this race but I wouldn't want to bank on it to win but I'm not sure I could lay it either as for the winner my money will be riding on VAN GERWEN 7/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish but admittedly it has poor trainer stats but if able to repeat its best time recorded earlier this year at Ripon it would win a shade cosily.

I haven't got a lot of data to work with for some of the entrants of this race so this is going to be a bit of a punt as I was going to leave the race alone until I saw the rating of BEYOND EQUAL 13/2 who likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish, the trainer has a 22% win ratio at this course and the jockey has had two rides and one winner when riding for the stable so it looks like connections are expecting a big run here so it might be worth a small wager.

A nice competitive class 4 race with 9 runners and the likely pacesetters are Shobiz and or Winnetka, if the former gets an uncontested lead it could at least make the frame and could possibly lead all the way as its my 3rd top rated, as for any lays in this race I have marked down 4 but 3 of them are most likely to be double figure prices which leaves me just Concierge 7/2 as one to lay, its usually held up for a late run but time wise it would need to improve so I doubt it will catch the leaders quickly enough to win the race, Pure Dreamer is my 2nd top rated who is another one that is usually held up for a late run and the same racing tactics are usually deployed by SPRING BLOOM 9/2 who is my top rated using a time recorded this year but the trainers record of 0-29 at this course is a bit off putting so I will also be backing SHOBIZ 6/1 who is my 3rd top rated over all but only 1lb below the 2nd top spot position and has the best trainer 29% with the stables older horses and jockey 19% stats.

A class 3 dash here with 8 runners and 2 known front runners and the race is so competitive its hard to narrow it down to a one horse conclusion, I will be looking to lay Recon Mission 8/1 in this race as its not been in good form lately doesn't seem to like really fast ground and might prefer a longer trip, *FAUSTUS 11/2 and JUST THAT LORD 8/1 are the 2 likely front runners and are my 3rd and 2nd top rated horses so most of the field might not be good enough to get involved in the race and if either gets an easy lead they could lead all the way and hold on for the victory but I do have A SURE WELCOME 7/1 rated higher and this one likes to track the leaders and then run on well nearing the finish, the trainer has a 19% win ratio here with its older horses but its been 42 runners and 327 days since the stable last had a winner which is off-putting else it might well have been my sole selection but in this race I will be looking to dutch all 3 of them.

1:55 Carlisle Racing Tips (16th May)

PS: Yes I know a postscript should be at the end of a piece of work my English isn't quite that bad, looking at the weather forecast everywhere is forecast to have rain either today and or tomorrow so please check the going before placing a bet on anything I've mentioned because if the going is on the soft side then my ratings are defunct and I have wasted several hours analysing and writing up today's sprints. 

CARLISLE 1.55 

A nine runner class 5 race so nothing to get too excited about but with 3 known front running types it should be a true run affair and of those 3 Runninwild may do best of them although I'm not completely sure what to expect from Stalingrad who might need further to show its best, East Street Revue and Good Earth are my joint 4th top rated with Melody King sitting in 3rd top spot, there is a 5lb gap between my top 2, Fashion Advice is my top rated but this one might need this run after not having had a run in the last year but would be dangerous if fully fit but i would rather back its stablemate, VENTURA FLAME 7/1 who is usually held up for a late run, as either could win this race I will have a covering bet on Fashion Advice just in case the stable are only trying with this one.

Just a poor turnout of 5 runners for this class 3 dash but luckily there is one known front runner amongst them, looking at the early tissue prices Sir Titus 3/1 is forecast to be the favourite but this one seems to do its winning in lower class races and I would think about laying it even if it is the favourite, Rebel At Dawn is my 3rd top rated and only 2lbs behind Soul Seeker in 2nd top spot but my top rated is *MODULAR MAGIC 11/4 and its the one known front running type in the race so hopefully it can lead all the way for victory.

I hope that all 8 runners take part so I can have an each way bet, if I can find one, its so bad I cannot find with confidence anything to lay, Tabdeed comes out 3rd top on my figures who can be held up for a late run or tracks the leaders and then try to stay on at the finish, if I went back to 2020 then Atalantis Boy would be in 2nd top spot but hasn't been within 10 spots of that rating since then, my top rated is FIRST FOLIO 13/2 who recorded a rating at Yarmouth last year that would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

A class 3 race with 12 runners and 4 that have been known to lead before, I might well look to lay The Princes Poet, Global Prospector 7/1 and Nelson Gay (non-runner) who might find this trip too far for them especially with a fast early pace then add Inver Park 6/1 who need to improve a good few spots time wise to win this race, Chipstead 12/1 is my 3rd top rated using a Goodwood rating this year, Media Guest 18/1 is my 2nd top rated using a 2021 Yarmouth usually held up for a late run but if SHOBIZ 11/2 can reproduce its best time from Yarmouth again here at Goodwood it can lead and hold on for the win.

Eleven runners in a class 4 race but again a big problem with no known front running types amongst them, with a fast early pace I could have eliminated Dream Composer 5/1, Prince Of Abington 11/2 and Dark Shot 40/1 who all might struggle to stay the distance although the middle one of those 3 is my 2nd top rated, using a speed figure it recorded at Carlisle last year LORD P 7/1 but the possible downfall could be that its usually races in midfield or held up for a late run so without a decent gallop things will be much harder for it to win.

With 3 possible pacesetters in this race it should be a true run race and I think it could well be won from the front, I will look to lay Hot Hot Hot 9/2 who seems to need further to show its true potential and the jockey is a poor 1-37 for the stable which is certainly off-putting, it looks likely that Symbol Of Hope 2/1 will be the favourite and I gave it as a lay last time it ran where it finished 2nd and I will be laying it again here if I think its not value, Sir Rodneyredblood could be the one to do best of those coming from off the pace but I will be hoping that *CORONATION COTTAGE 8/1 can lead all the way in this race and the apprentice jockey has good stats and the horse has won before when returning after a break.

A poor turnout of just 6 runners for this class 4 dash over 5 furlongs, I'm not sure there is anything in this race that I could confidently lay although Newyorkstateofmind would have to improve time wise a good few spots to be winning the race, Get It and Hallowed Time look the ones likely to set the pace to this race and the latter could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead as its my 2nd top rated but my money will be hoping they will be setting the race up for AIRSHOW 9/4 who usually tracks the leaders and then stays on strongly at the finish and its trainer has a 20% win ratio with its older horses at this course.

Not really a race to be betting in too heavily as I'm not sure what will set the pace to the race or how fast the gallop will be which means its hard to spot lays as well as bets, I can see some that might not have the race run to suit them but they are all forecast to be double figure prices but the proper betting might show me something to lay, as for backing in this race I cannot see why MAJESKI MAN 11/4 who won last time out shouldn't follow up here as that time at Salisbury last time out would see it winning this race with a bit still in hand, as this horse likes to track the leaders it should be able to spot if the leaders are not going fast and push on if needs be and I think Holly Doyle is more than capable of riding a good race from the front.

LAMPANG hasn't been in good form lately plus it may need this run for fitness but time wise it does come out as my 3rd top rated so could go ok here. 

SOLDIERS MINUTE this one would need to improve time wise on whats its shown so far in its career and nowadays seems better on the AW tracks.

BLACK FRIDAY has only slow times to its name mainly because it doesn't seem to like the faster going and one I will look to lay. 

CALL ME GINGER this one is my top rated and slightly dropped in class to run in this race but the trainers not had a winner for 59 days which is a bit off putting.

BE PROUD this ones from the same stable as Call Me Ginger and seems very much their 2nd string and is my 2nd top rated. 

BALLYARE time wise it needs to improve a good few spots and this distance seems a bit too short for it to show its best. 

SUMMARY: Only 6 runners where I would look to lay Black Friday who seems to prefer some cut in the ground to show its best, the trainer Jim Goldie has 2 runners in this race and they are my 1st and 2nd top rated horses so he could win with either but I have CALL ME GINGER rated the higher plus this one has the slightly better jockey stats but maybe have a covering bet on Be Proud just in case its the one that they have primed more for this race.

LORDSBRIDGE BOY usually likes to track the leaders but may need this run for fitness plus a longer distance might suit it better as well so maybe one to lay. 

I'M MABLE would need to improve a few spots time wise to win this race and usually likes to race in the middle of the field.

ATTY'S EDGE is usually held up for a late run but once again it may need to improve on its best time wise to win this race.

KOOL MOE DEE can be held up or track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish and could do enough to win this race.

LA ROCA DEL FUEGO is one of two known front running types in this race but this one seems to save its best form for the All-Weather tracks.

BOOM THE GROOM the other one that's known to lead but this 11yo seems on the downward journey as age catches up with it and further also might be better for it. 

LETHAL BLAST is actually my top rated so cannot be discounted but the stable is 0-80 during the last 258 days which is off putting also has poor jockey stats.

FIRENZE ROSA hasn't registered on my speed figures for quite a while now and seems to need further when the going is on the fast side. 

SUMMARY: In this race I have got a negative against all of the runners barring the one so which ones to lay is a case of take your pick although I wouldn't lay La Roca Del Fuego just in case its allowed to get an easy lead and pinches the race from the front, I have to mention Letha Blast as it is my top rated but hasn't been in good form lately and its over 250 days since the stable last had a winner so I have to side with KOOL MOE DEE in this race, it is my 2nd top rated and its trainer does quite well at this course.

2:50 Windsor Racing Tips (4th April)

WINDSOR 2.50 

BERNADO O’REILLY won last time out on the AW, it only comes out 5th top on its turf form from last year and can be held up or tracks the leaders but might be one to lay as it will be a shorter price because of the win. 

RECON MISSION hasn't produced a speed figure of note since 2020 a possible pacesetter or at least race prominently but i suspect an outsider in the betting. 

ZIM BABY races in midfield or is held up but needs to improve time wise to win this race it has poorish trainer stats at this course but might be shorter because of the jockey booking so maybe worth laying if a single figure price.

INDIAN CREAK races in midfield and its best time from Goodwood leaves it short of winning this race but i suspect it will be a double figure price. 

LITTLE BOY BLUE is usually held up for a late run but maybe not quickly enough to catch the leaders but I expect too big a price to lay.

DANCINGINTHEWOODS can track the leaders or be held up and can be relied upon to reproduce its best but that wont be enough to win here and i expect a double figure price.

MARLAY PARK may really need a longer distance to show its best and could be dangerous if able to track the leaders but might be outpaced in the early stages but another double figure priced horse.

YIMOU is my 3rd top rated horse it can be held up or track the leaders and could stay on well enough at the finish to make the frame so maybe worth an each way interest. 

CRAZY LUCK this one might not want the going to be too fast but will be trying to stay on from the rear or midfield nearing the finish but maybe too late for the win but not of value to lay. 

MANY A STAR is out top rated on my figures and has been running in better class races, has good trainer/jockey stats and usually tracks the leaders before staying on strongly at the finish.

SMEATON'S LIGHT is my 2nd top rated and has good trainer/jockey stats and could be the one to set the pace and has won before after a break so could be dangerous if leading.

INVER PARK 9/2 can be held up or track the leaders but time wise it needs to improve a good few spots but finds the trip too far on good to firm ground and prefers some cut in the ground.

THE CRUISING LORD hasn't been in good form in its latest runs and may not stay the distance with a fast early pace so will be held up but one to lay if of value to lay. 

MISTER BLUEBIRD is another that may struggle to stay the distance so will need to be held up for a late run it is my 4th top rated but i expect it will be a double figure price and no value to lay.

COCO BEAR can be held up or track the leaders but seems better when there's some cut in the ground and one to lay if a single figure price. 

SUMMARY: There is a few I will be looking to lay if they are value to lay but the betting will be the deciding factor for some of them but looking at the tissue prices, Bernado O’Reilly 4/1 and Zim Baby 7/1, could be short enough to lay I cannot see why Inver Park 9/2 is so short the tissue prices had it at 12/1 if there is some cut in the ground then it could well be the winner but if good or better it may struggle to stay the distance with a fast early pace but as normal if there is any cut in the going then I wont be betting in this race, as for the winner I will be having two bets firstly on *SMEATON'S LIGHT 16/1 who could set the pace to the race and if repeating its best rating from 2021 which was recorded over this c/d it could lead all the way and has to be given as an each way wager, i do have MANY A STAR 8/1 rated higher using a Yarmouth speed figure from 2021 but both ratings were recorded on good to firm going but with both having good trainer/jockey stats it makes me think both stables think their horse will run well here and both might be worth doing as each way bets but any bets or lays will be at low stakes.

4:10 Catterick Racing Tips (7th September)

CATTERICK 4.10

MILITIA a possible pacesetter but would need to improve time wise to win this race and the trainers win ratio is only 8% at this course. 

BUY ME BACK the jockey is 0-4 and the trainers strike-rate with their older runners is a poor 5% and has had 1 winner from 19 runners in the last 2 weeks.

MACHREE has poorish trainer/jockey stats and the trainer is also 0-17 for the last 2 weeks while puts me off its chances.

ASTROZONE has poor trainer stats and its best time from the last 2 years leaves it well short of whats needed to win this class 4 race. 

DAPPER MAN a possible pacesetter and my top rated on just 2021 times at this level and its best speed figure from Hamilton makes it my top rated on my overall figures. 

DARK SHOT has been known to lead but hasn't done so lately but its best time from 2020 at Leicester would make it my 2nd top rated but it could struggle to lead here which could hamper its chance of winning. 

SPANISH ANGEL has poorish jockey stats and time wise would need to improve to win this race but could go well if able to reproduce its best 2020 speed figure.

THRILLA IN MANILLA has poorish trainer/jockey stats but it is capable of making the frame if running to its best speed figure rating. 

ECONOMIC CRISIS the trainer is 1-63 at this course and the jockey 0-17 for the stable and maybe doesn't like good to firm ground.

AUCKLAND LODGE this one might be outclassed at this level but is capable of recording a fast time in the right grade.

SUMMARY: With 6 of the 10 runners having been known to lead I think this race should be won from the front as long as they don't go off too fast from the off, I am going to side with DAPPER MAN 4/1 who admittedly hasn't the best of the draw in stall 8 but it ought to be away fast enough to lead or at least gain a good early prominent position and then a reproduction of its best Hamilton time would see it get back to winning ways here.

There's 7 runners in this race with 2 horses known as front running types and they are my 4th top rated, Anjella and my 2nd top rated Hello Me so maybe the rest of the field may struggle to get involved, Sarah's Verse is my 3rd top rated and this one is a hold up type but I will be putting my money on the top weight SECOND COLLECTION 10/3 who is another hold up type and it likes a fast pace to aim at so this race should be run to suit it, the trainer has had 6 winners in the last 2 weeks so is in good form and could add to his total here.

NEWMARKET 2.45 

A 10 runner Listed class race with a couple of front runners, the top weight Summerghand is dropped in class from its recent races and if reproducing its best time from 2020 here over the Rowley course it could win but its been way below that standard time wise so far this year and not worth risking, Adaay To Remember won last time out in a lower class race and might be a progressive type but this is a big jump in class but being a front running type it could go well but not one I would like to rely on, I will be on the side of TABDEED 2/1 who is another dropped in class and comes out as my top rated using its time from Newbury last time out when it finished 2nd and has been found a good opportunity to go one better here, I expect it will be the favourite but I don't mind backing shorter priced horse in races where the prize money is significant.

This is a Listed class race with 4 known front runners amongst the field of 12 and both Tis Marvellous and Justanotherbottle could do well from the front as both are in my top 4 ratings, I would look to lay Dakota Gold 5/1 if its a single figure price as I think its better over longer distances but with the likely fast pace here it might play to its strengths but maybe too late for it to win this race, Wise Words my 3rd top rated will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish as will be TARBOOSH 14/1 (EW) who comes out top rated using a time from Musselburgh this year and hopefully it will be an each way price.

A fairly big field of 15 runners with a couple of known pacesetters, until I've seen the betting I'm not sure if there's any worthwhile lays amongst them, Duke Of Firenze, Ventura Flame, Not On Your Nellie and Arnold have times that could make them competitive if at their best, I will be going with 2 wagers in this race firstly LATIN FIVE 11/2 who comes out top rated on just 2021 times and its good enough for 2nd top spot on overall figures and usually stays on strongly at the business end of its races but my top rated DARK SHOT 11/1 is the only natural looking front runner in the field and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch but the trainers 0-17 for the last 2 weeks doesn't fill me with confidence so I will go with the 2 bets to cover the angles.

If this race had any known front running types it would be a cracking race but the lack of known early pace already means my stakes will be kept low, James Watt, Secretinthepark and Nibras Again are all rated within a 1lb of each other in 3rd to 5th top rated so could battle it out to make the frame, in 2nd top spot I've got Han Solo Berger but my top rated is the top weight SOUL SEEKER 8/1 who usually tracks the leaders and then stays on strongly at the finish and I do like it when a horse comes out top rated carrying higher weight against lesser opponents.

With nearly half the field being either 3yo’s or lightly raced sorts this race is hard to analyse but I do think the connections of HAIL SEZER 6/1 have found their horse a good opportunity to follow up from the race it won last time out at Doncaster and recorded a fast time the race before at Carlisle when finishing 2nd which puts it at the top of my speed figures list but the trainers 0-4 for the last 2 weeks means my stakes will be kept low.

I was going to leave this race alone with once again half the field being 3yo’s or lightly raced sorts but when I checked the time recorded by ABSOLUTE DREAM 4/1 when it won over this course and distance 2 runs ago I was surprised to see it was well above what I would normally expect from a class 6 race, its last race was over 7 furlongs so can be ignored and is quickly dropped back to its winning distance and should confirm the form of its course and distance win over Shes A Deva.
