5:45 Wolverhampton - Free Horse Racing Tips (3rd November)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.45

A nice but very competitive class 4 race with six of the eleven runners having led before.

It should be fast and furious!

There are only 4lbs between my top seven ratings so the winner will need a clear run.

Zapper Cass and Secretfact are my joint 4th top-rated, in 3rd top spot is Three Little Birds who has a good chance to make the frame. It won three and been placed in six other races from eleven on the AW tracks but none of this trio is known for front running.

I've got joint top-rated horses in Abel Handy who recorded its best time on this surface but at Newcastle and hasn't shown much recently.

The other joint top rated is CANFORD BAY 8/1, trained by Antony Brittain, who is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics and probably won't try to lead but try to sit just behind the pacesetters ready to pounce late on. This one has won twice and been placed in seven other races from fourteen runs.

Canford Bay 8/1 2nd

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.15

A class 6 stakes race with six of the thirteen runners being 3yo’s. None of these are in my top four ratings.

I think the early pace will be set by Tobeeornottobee, who is just outside my top four ratings.

In the fourth top spot is Mansfield who showed an upturn in fortunes when finishing second last time out. However, this gelding hasn't won in twenty previous attempts on the AW tracks.

The third spot I've got Brockey Rise who should stay on at the finish. The jockey's 0-15 record for this stable is a little off-putting.

Flora Triston is joint top-rated using its best 2018 time. She hasn't been near that level so far this year and hasn't won in fifteen attempts on the AW tracks.

The one I will be backing is BILLYOAKES 8/1. A hold-up type and drawn in stall six (6) isn't too bad in the make-up of this race. With a clear run, I could see Ollie Pear's charge picking up the frontrunners at the finish.
