3:20 Kempton Racing Tips and Lay Bets (12th August)

KEMPTON 3.20

This looks a competitive class 3 race but I would look to lay (May Sonic 7/2 who may not like this surface and is favourite on the early tissue prices + The Cruising Lord who may find this trip too far and worth laying if a single figure price) the 3yo Love Powerful hasn't any form at this distance on the AW but does have a good time on turf, STORM OVER 10/1 could go well using a Chelmsford time but this is its debut here, it could be worth an each-way punt if a big price, I will also be backing EL HOMBRE 16/1 but I am not sure what to make of the jockeys 0-8 record for this stable and its enough to put me off putting it up as my sole selection, so I will be having 2 each way bets at the prices on offer.

El Hombre 16/1 7th (-2pt)
Storm Over 16/1 Unp (-2pt)

Lay bets: May Sonic (-1.75) Betfair SP (2.88), The Cruising Lord +1pt

Total:  -4.75pts

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.35

I dont think this is a race to be betting too big in theres too many crossed lines of form but something caught my eye enough to write up this race, theres a few that could go well on some pieces of form, Cowboy Soldier hasnt any course form but has fast times fromKempton and Southwell but its time from Newcastle, the same surface, wouldnt be good enough so not sure the surace suits it, Benny And The Jets could do best of the possible pacesettters using a Kempton time but hasnt any c/d form, Dazzling Den won over this c/d but in a slow time but has a good time from Newcastle and will be trying to stay on at the finish, my pennies will be riding on ABSOLUTIO 15/2 who hasnt any form at this distance but its 6f time here puts it in the mix and this drop in distance might be a good move, the eye catcher is the trainers record of 2-13 with all runners and 2-4 with the older horses and the jockeys record is 1-2 for this stable on all rides and 1-1 on the older horses which makes me think they are expecting a big run here.

Absolutio 15/2 4th (-1pt)

Total: -1pt

Total on the day: -5.75pts
