7:10 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (29th September)

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.10

In this field of 11 runners there is seven 3yo’s who could still improve without warning and i would normally give this race a wide berth but sitting near the bottom of the handicap is TURANGA LEELA 25/1 (EW) who admittedly hasn't shown anything worthwhile in its 2 runs of this year but i am hoping it needed those 2 runs to gain fitness, it has a c/d time from last year, 2019, it is being ridden by a 7lb claiming apprentice who is having her debut ride for the stable but she has 7 wins to her name, and a repeat of that time would make it hard to catch seeing its a front running type of horse and at the price it may be worth taking a risk with an each way punt.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.40

For a class 6 race this isn't too ban an affair, there's some early pace in the race which is always a bonus in helping to analyse any race although many times my plans have been scuppered by something changing its usual racing style and also that usually fails to work, Global Hope will be among the favourites for this race but its times have been relatively slow, even when winning, the top weight Youre Cool looks a better proposition over shorter distances but does have a time from way back in 2015 that would make it my 4th top rated overall, Sfumato is the only horse with a recorded time from this year since the lockdown so has to be respected but that time isn't good enough to make my top overall figures. Both my 3rd top rated Tomshalfbrother and 2nd top rated Blessed To Empress are in their positions using times from Chelmsford which is a different surface and neither have ran over this c/d before so not sure what to expect of them, my money will be riding on USTATH 11/2 who is my top rated using a c/d time from 2019 while its sole run over the c/d this year was poor, normally stall 10 isn't ideal but in the make-up of this race i cannot see any reason why it shouldn't get out smartly and either lead or contest the lead from the off and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch.
