6:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (17th March)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00

I'm not really a fan of these amateur riders races but this race doesn't seem to fit the usual pattern and I will be backing 2 horses in this race but admit stakes wont be at full strength, Silver Dollar 8/1 is making its handicap debut and could be capable of improving but everything points to it needing a longer distance before it will show what its capable of so I will look to lay it as long as its a single figure price, the top weight MAJESKI MAN 5/2 is the only known front running type in this race and when it won last time out its rating makes it my 2nd top rated and it has one of the top amateur riders on board so must have a decent chance of following up here but I do have DEEVIOUS BEAU 13/2 rated a little bit higher, the trainer has a 17% win ratio at this course and the jockey is 1-1 for the stable so I will be backing them both to cover the angles.

Deevious Beau 11/1 2nd -1pt
Majeski Man 5/2 3rd -1pt

Total -2pts

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00

MISS NAY NEVER this front running type has only poor recent form and its best from 2021 wouldn't see it win this race but I expect it to be an outsider.

OOH IS IT 11/2 another possible pacesetter but would need to improve time wise on its best course and distance and on its Southwell time so could be value to lay.

THE THIN BLUE LINE 2/1 comes out in top spot on both course and distance times and Southwell times and has been found a good chance to follow up its win last time out.

CAHORS likes to track the leaders but its one run over this course and distance resulted in a slow time but will be a big outsider.

DARK SIDE PRINCE 3/1 the 3rd possible pacesetter in this race but time wise it needs to improve on what its shown so far so maybe one to lay if its a shortish price.

GOOD LISTENER has only poor ratings and form to its name and would be a shock winner and i expect it to be a double figure price.

STORM MELODY 6/1 didn't record a rating when winning over this course and distance and maybe flattered by that result and could be outclassed at this level.

RED WALLS the 4th and final front running type in this race and comes out 3rd top on my overall figures but I expect it to be an outsider in this race.

SUMMARY: I will be looking to lay Storm Melody who could well be outclassed at this level as for the winner I cannot see beyond THE THIN BLUE LINE 2/1 who I tipped up when it won last time out and has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up here it has decent trainer and good jockey stats, I doubt it will be a very big price but a winners a winner and I would rather back a class 4 favourite than a class 6 favourite.

The Thin Blue Line 2/1 6th -1pt

Lay bet Ooh Is It +1pt

Total 0pts

Total on the day -2pts

Lay bets 9/1 and less only
