8:35 Lingfield Racing Tips (25th May)

LINGFIELD 8.35

I will start with Centurian Song who I will look to lay as it may need further or slower going or maybe both, as for the winner i have put a positive mark alongside the name of 6 of the 10 runners, there's 3 or possibly 4 that could set the pace to this race and both Spurofthemoment 13/2 in stall 8 and Lethal Blast 15/8 in stall 1 are in that group and are also ones with a positive against their name and both could feasibly make the frame, Vandad, Shamshon and Thegreyvtrain are 3 others that i have marked as possible winners of this race, the one that will be carrying my money in the form of an each way wager is *ZULU ZANDER 14/1 who is versatile when it comes to racing tactics and that does include leading but I'm doubtful it will deploy those tactics in this race, the early paced horses are in stalls 1, 7 and 8 I'm hoping it can follow the pair on its inside towards the rail and then get a good position just behind the leaders ready to pounce in the closing stages and the jockey does have a 17% win ratio on the stables older horses so I'm hoping they are expecting it to go well in this race and get back to winning ways.

NEWCASTLE 8.55

A class 6 race with 13 runners and a couple of known front running types while the draw isn't too important on this straight course, strangely the 2 known front runners, Hall Sezer 8/1 in stall 14 and Kolossus 6/1 in stall 5 have both got a negative against their names and neither have a time fast enough to register on my figures and along with Debawtry 8/1 I would look to lay them if of any value to do so, i have got 5 horses at the top of my figures that merit consideration, The Mackem Torpedo 7/1 using a time from Wolverhampton and Groupie 33/1 again using a time from that course but this ones best was back in 2019 and looking at the betting isn't fancied in this race, they could possibly make the frame, Oakenshield 6/1 is my 3rd top rated but the jockeys 0-6 record for this stable is a little bit off-putting, in 2nd top spot is Royal Prospect 14/1 but this one can struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace so may be a little bit inconvenienced in this race which is reflected in its price, sitting on top of my figures is GIGI’S BEACH 9/2 who will be more at home now dropped back to 6f after running over 7f in its last 2 races, it usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely at the business end of its races.

Gigi's Beach 9/2 4th -1pt

Total on the day -1pt
