3:03 Haydock Racing Tips (2nd September)

HAYDOCK 3.03 

A 7 runner race where Jordan Electrics is the only known front running type but this one might be outclassed at this level but might have been an each way bet if there was enough runners to pay out on 3 places, Ventura Express could go well in this race along with Ghathanfar but I will be putting my faith in the 3yo KHANJAR 5/6 who has got good trainer, 36% with 3yo’s, stats and jockey, 39% with 3yo’s, stats, it will either be held up or race in the middle of the field before staying on strongly at the finish.

A 14 runner class 4 dash with 2 known front running types amongst them, my ratings for Fox Hill have been a few pounds worse each year since 2019 and even its best from then wouldn't be good enough to win this race so if a single figure price might be worth laying, anything else that I would lay will I expect be double figure prices, Never Dark, Amor De Mi Vida and Ginger Jam all sit just outside my top 3 ratings, in joint 2nd top spot sits Soul Seeker but that's using a 2021 rating and hasn't been near that level so far this year and Leodis Dream and the same applies to this one as well, so my money will be riding on SO SMART 14/1 (EW) who recorded a rating at Salisbury this year which would see it winning this race with a few spots to spare BUT this one is still a maiden after 14 races so I'm hoping it will be an each way price as it has made the frame in half of those races.

ASCOT 4.55 

A twelve runner race with just one known front runner, looking at the early tissue prices it predicts that the 3yo Torvi will be the favourite but it has done well in relatively slow run races and I'm not sure if its up to winning at this class 4 level so maybe worth laying, Love Trophy Power could be another one to lay if its a single figure price because its only produced slow times on good, good to firm and AW surfaces, Rainbow Mirage is my 4th top rated and only 2lbs below Miss Bella Brand in 3rd top position, the front running Mejthaam might do well if allowed to dictate the pace as it recorded a fast time at Yarmouth last year when leading but that is now looking like a one of rating but might be worth an each way punt just in case things go its way here and it does repeat its best rating but my main bet will be on SOUND OF IONA 4/1 who is dropped in class to run in this race and should be staying on at the business end of the race.
