2:50 Newcastle Racing Tips (19th October)

NEWCASTLE 2.50

A full house of 14 runners with 3 known front running types amongst them and Jordan Electrics, my 2nd top rated and Giogiobbo my joint 4th top rated will make sure its a true run race and both of them might be worth looking at for an each way punt, there's a couple of possible hidden dangers in Pagan and Silver Samurai which means my stakes will be kept low, I'm not sure if anything I see that I might lay will be a worthwhile price so I will hold fire on the lays till I see some betting, my money will be riding on CAPTAIN VALLO 5/1 a 3yo that won last time out in a fast time, admittedly it was in a lower class race but I'm hoping this is an improving 3yo and can take the upgrade in its stride and follow up again here.

KEMPTON 5.00

A fairly nice looking class 5 dash with 2 front running sort’s to ensure there's a fast early pace, La Roca Del Fuego has been in cracking form winning its last 4 races on an artificial surface but they were all recorded at Chelmsford and hasn't any form over this course and distance, 3 of its 4 wins were over 6 furlongs but it did win over five furlongs last time out by leading all the way but that time would only be good enough for 3rd top spot on my overall figures and it might not be quite fast enough to lead in this race as my top rated SPIRIT POWER 11/1 (EW) is also a front running type who has good trainer and jockey stats although the trainer is 0-9 for the last 2 weeks its only 23 days since they had a winner and will be the one carrying my money with an each way wager at the price, the horse that might do best of those coming form off the pace could be Smokey who has a time from Lingfield last year that makes it my 2nd top rated on my overall figures and strangely none of the horses in this race have a recorded time for this year so everything is more of a gamble.

I will wait until the day of the race before deciding if there's anything worthwhile laying in this race as it does look a very competitive affair and I am not 100% sure its race to be betting in at all, on the clock I looked at ANOTHER ANGEL 9/2 one of the possible pacesetters and comes out 3rd best on my overall figures using a 2020 time so could go well but the trainer is 0-11 in the last 2 weeks which muddies the waters, LORD OF THE GLEN 6/1 is another possible front runner and comes out in top spot using a time from 2020 when it won over this course and distance but the trainers 0-17 in the last 2 weeks doesn't fill me with confidence,YOUNG TIGER 8/1 could be the one to prosper if the leaders tire but once again I am using a 2020 time to find its best speed figure and hasn't shown much in its last few runs on turf so maybe the switch back to the All-Weather will inspire it to bounce back to form so I will be dutching the three of them.

3:30 Bath Racing Tips (27th September)

BATH 3.30

(If the going is good or faster)

For a class 6 race this one looks quite good, there's a couple of front running types in the field of 8 runners and as one of the pacesetters is my top rated for this year and 2nd top on overall figures it should be run at a good gallop for this level, I have found 3 that I will look to lay if they are single figure prices, Kodi Gold 4/1 who may need further to show its best, Cappananty Con 11/2 who has poor jockey stats and doesn't want fast ground and Okaidi 12/1 who also may need further and has poor jockey stats, the race that Snow Berry won last time out was a slow run affair and it had Kodi Gold behind it in 2nd that day and at the weights should beat it again but will need to improve time wise to win this race but being a 3yo it could do just that, We’re Reunited 13/2 is my 3rd top rated but the trainer is 0-12 in the last 2 weeks, it has been 47 days since the stables last winner they have had 35 runners during that time, *SHANI 16/1 (EW) who has good jockey stats is my 2nd top rated using just 2021 times but has a time from last year over this course and distance that would make it top rated overall and I will be backing it each way at the price, while CORONATION COTTAGE 4/1 is rated 2lbs higher using just 2021 times and is one of the possible pacesetters in this race and has good jockey stats and this one also recorded its best time over this course and distance in 2020, I will be backing them both to cover the angles.

With 2 other front running types in this race Spirit Power 14/1 may struggle to stay the trip but isn't value to lay at the price while Aleef 15/2, Somewhere Secret 14/1, The Mousen Champ 9/1, Quanah 6/1 and Lucky Beggar 7/1 may all need a longer distance to show their best form, my 3rd top rated is Arnold 6/1 but its not won in 8 attempts on the AW tracks but it has made the frame in half of them and could make the frame again here but isn't an each way price in my opinion, in 2nd top spot using a 2020 time is Another Angel 5/1 another known front running type but has only recorded slow times over this course and distance in 4 races this year so i will be hoping that the third front running type *LORD OF THE GLEN 11/2 can follow up its win at Chelmsford three days ago and will be carrying my money.

NEWCASTLE 8.30

There's a few in this race that look better over shorter distances but some will be big priced so I will look to lay Gorgeous General 4/1 and Cuppacoco 9/2 who are both forecast to be a single figure price and both of them haven't got a recorded time since 2019, only half the field have done a time fast enough to register on my figures and they are all in the top half of the handicap, Oriental Lily 12/1 is my 3rd top rated and is usually held up for a late run but hasn't recorded a time for this year so far, I've actually got joint top rated horses, Oakenshield 14/1 usually likes to track the leaders but hasn't recorded a time this year from four races so i will be putting my faith and money on ROCKLEY POINT 12/1 (EW) who is the only one in the race who is known as a front running sort and i am hoping it can lead all the way in this race and the jockey booking does look a positive one, it has been off the track for 136 days but has won before coming from off a break and as usual at the price it has to be an each way wager.

5:00 Newcastle Racing Tips & Lay Bets (12th December)

NEWCASTLE 5.00

For a class 6 race this is quite a competitive affair, there's a couple of front runners among the 13 entrants and I think this race could be won from the front, I will look to lay (*Debawtry + Kaafy + *Suwaan) if in single figure prices, Longroom is one of the possible pacesetters and could do enough to make the frame but it would need others to under perform, Qaaraat is capable of winning this race if able to reproduce its best 2019 time while its best 2020 time isn't quite good enough, Fair Alibi is my 3rd top rated and this is a drop in class compared to its recent runs and could be a danger so maybe worth a covering bet but I will be relying on LORD OF THE GLEN 9/1 (EW) who is the other front running type in the race, so I am hoping this one can lead all the way in this race and at the price it might be worth doing it each way.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.15

Another 13 runner race with 3 known front running types apart from the 2 at the top of the handicap I cannot find anything to lay which will be of any value, El Hombre and Misty Grey could go ok in this race if reproducing their best efforts, of the likely pacesetters I think from stall 8 MERHOOB 5/1 should be able to lead in the make-up of this race and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch as on my figures its only 1lb below being top rated but that is using a 2019 time then in its defense it hasn't run over this c/d recently, my top rated is ASTRO JAKK 6/1 who won for me last time out at Newcastle and if able to reproduce that time here would just get up on the line but I will be backing them both to cover both angles.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.45 Div I

I cannot find a front runner in this race which always makes things hard to analyse and leaves me with very little to say about most of the runners, there is a few I could lay as they can struggle to stay the distance but if they go at a slower early pace then that might not matter but I will go with having 2 small bets in the race, one that might prosper if they go off at a slow pace is IVA REFLECTION 16/1 (EW) and this 3yo has to be considered so at the price I have to back it as an each way bet, SEPAHI 28/1 (EW) who can be held up or track the leaders and hopefully it will race prominently so as not to be caught out flat footed if something suddenly kicks from the front and maybe worth a small each way punt at the price.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.15 Div II

In this 2nd division there's 3 known front runners, shame one of them wasn't in the other division, Inevitable Outcome is my joint 2nd top rated on my speed figures and this one is usually held up for a late run and could do enough to run into a place, Paddy Power is my top rated but I had to go back to 2019 to find its best time and its recent form has been woefully short of that level this year, my other joint 2nd top rated is HEER WE GO AGAIN 10/1 (EW) who is versatile when it comes to racing tactics which does include leading, stall 10 isn't usually ideal but with only 3 that could go from the front then it can either lead or contest the lead and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch or it could track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish either way at the price it has to be an each way wager.

6:15 Newcastle Racing Tips & lay Bets (20th November)

NEWCASTLE 6.15

I have a couple to lay (Outrage 6/1 + Call Me Ginger 15/2) as long as they stay in single figure prices, the draw isn't of real importance here and the 4 known front running sorts are drawn in stall 7 or higher Captain Jameson is my 3rd top rated and a possible pacesetter but is versatile when it comes to racing tactics and comes from stall 7 and could make the frame, Kind Review could do best of those coming from off the pace while I'm hoping FANTASY KEEPER 5/1 can lead all the way here from stall 13.

Fantasy Keeper 11/2 7th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Outrage +1pt, Call Me Ginger +1pt

Total: +1pt

NEWCASTLE 7.15

This is a very competitive race for a class 5 affair, Be Proud may run better than its latest form and has a time from 2019 that would make it my 2nd top rated but recent form sees it drop to joint 5th spot alongside the front running Another Angel, the hold up type Ballyare is 4th top rated, the stall 1 horse Tathmeen comes out 3rd top and will be trying to stay on at the finish, my top rated is LORD OF THE GLEN 15/2 who is one of 3 in the race who could set the pace and has a good chance to get back to winning ways.

NEWCASTLE 7.45

With no known front running types in this race its hard to analyse, Herringswell, Fair Alibi and Epeius could all run well here and could be worth an each way bet if a big price but I will be taking a chance on BUCCANEERS VAULT 16/1 (EW) who is top rated on 2020 c/d times and that rating is also good enough to take the top spot overall prize, it usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely at the finish and at the price it has be to be given as an each way wager.

A full house of 14 runners and 3 that seem to prefer to front run in their race Rockley Point is one of them and comes out 4th top overall and could do enough to make the frame, I've got joint 2nd top spot horses in Qaaraat and It Must Be Faith who both like to track the leaders and then stay on stoutly at the finish but I will be putting my money on ARCAVALLO 5/1 who is a front running sort and I am hoping it can lead all the way here and get back to winning ways.

3:00 Newcastle - Free Horse Racing Tips (20th October)

NEWCASTLE 3.00

With 6 races today each race will be a short summary hopefully with all the essentials, there isn't much data to work with with a lot of these runners so any stakes will be kept low, Gunmetal could be one of the pacesetters here and my 4th top rated on c/d times, Wild Edric my 3rd top rated and Deputise in 2nd top spot both recorded their best times at Wolverhampton but I have BRIAN THE SNAIL 14/1  (EW) as my top rated and I am hoping this one will be an each way price, it has a decent jockey booking making me think they are expecting a good run.

KEMPTON 4.35

Not a bad looking class 5 affair with a couple of known front running types, Secretfact 4th top and Katherine Place 3rd top are both in their positions using c/d times from 2019 so could battle to make the frame if reproducing their best, I've actually got joint top rated horses in King Robert who recorded its best time this year but stall 9 might not be ideal for it with the make-up of this race so I will be banking on AUTUMN TRAIL 9/1 who is one of the known pace-setting types and has the ideal draw in stall 1 so I'm hoping it can lead all the way here and does have good trainer 17% and jockey 22% stats.

This is a race where I'm glad there isn't any bends to go round so the draw wont be a vital ingredient in the race, all of my 4 top ratings are using Wolverhampton times, Three Card Trick is 4th top and a possible pacesetter, Phoenix Star is 3rd best should be trying to stay on at the finish as will One One Seven my 2nd top rated but I will be shouldering USTATH 16/1 (EW) with my money and is another possible front runner and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and at the price it has to be given as an each way wager.

NEWCASTLE 5.10 Div II

A race with little data to work with and it was one i was going to leave alone until I saw a glimmer in the gloom, Oriental Relation is 3rd top rated and could possibly front run, Roaring Rory is 2nd top rated and will be held up to get the trip if there's a fast early pace but I will have a small each way bet on ROCKLEY POINT 14/1 (EW) who is the other one that could lead and if getting to the front it could do enough to hold on to at least a place so at the price an each way bet.

NEWCASTLE 5.40

For a class 6 affair this looks very competitive and there should be a fast early pace in this dash and most of the early paced sorts are drawn high and for my bet I hope they don't cut each others throats trying to lead, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in Arcavallo and Slowmo and both are possible pacesetters along with LORD OF THE GLEN 5/2 who is rated 2lbs better and has been in tip top form lately and will be carrying my money.

This is a very competitive class 4 race but the lack of known front runners does muddy the waters, Street Parade has a time from Wolvhampton that would make it my 2nd top rated but that is a different surface so I'm not sure what it will here the same applies to Wiley Past and Phuket Power, Juan Les Pins is 3rd top on just 2020 times with Saaheq sitting in 2nd top spot, I will be backing STRONG POWER 9/2 this 3yo is my top rated on 2020 times and over all times and usually stays on strongly at the business end of the race.

NEWCASTLE 6.45

The tissue prices and my speed figures centre around 3 horses, 3rd top on my figures is Arnold 2/1 who’s best time was from 2019 but hasn't run over this c/d this year but has run twice here over 6 furlongs but the jockey, Arcavallo 7/2 is my 2nd top rated but only 2lbs off top spot, it could attempt to lead but the jockeys 1-19 record on this stables older runners is a little off-putting so I will give another chance to LORD OF THE GLEN 11/4 the other known front runner in the field and hopefully this time it can lead all the way.

NEWCASTLE 8.15

This certainly isn't a great looking race even for class 6 standards, I can only find 5 runners in the field of 14 that have recorded a speed figure, on my own unique ratings, in 2019 or 2020, Guardia Svizzera who is joint 3rd top overall recorded its best time at Chelmsford so it would need to improve for the switch to this surface, Shortbackansides did its best figure this year at Wolverhampton but is only 5th top rated, Fard is the other joint 3rd top rated on a c/d time from 2019 so could make the frame and will be trying to stay on at the finish as will my 2nd top rated which is Zebulon who won last time out and I expect it will be the favourite in this race, that win came in a slow run affair and may get caught out here with the tactics of STAR CRACKER 18/1 who is the only known front running type in the race, this one is the only one in the field with a rating for 2020 which is admittedly 6lbs below the top weighted Zebulon’s best from 2019 but has an even better time from that year which would see it winning this race comfortably from the front and unless the bookies know something I don't (like being a non-trier) then the price is way way too big in comparison to its chance of winning this race.

NEWCASTLE 5.55

Not the best race I've seen lately but there's a winner somewhere amongst them, I'm not sure if I dare lay the 3yo Somekindasuperstar who I think might need a further to show its true worth, Isabella Ruby hasn't any c/d from to its name but a Wolverhampton time could see it make the frame, Lucky Beggar has poor form recently and I would have to go back to 2017 to find its best time but its still a maiden on the AW after 8 runs, there's other lightly raced sorts in the race which I'm not sure what to expect from them so my stakes will be kept on the low side, my 2nd top rated on 2020 times is Gorgeous General so it could make the frame, I think the horse that will set the pace is LORD OF THE GLEN 9/4 who is my top rated and I'm hoping it can lead all the way here.

At least in this race I know there's some front running types in the race but again there is a few lightly raced sorts who could put the spanner in the works so stakes will be kept on the low side, I'm not sure Another Angel will stay this trip if there's a fast early pace or if Airglow will like this surface, so the pace may be set by The Armed Man if allowed to set a slightly lower pace, my 3rd top rated overall is Buccaneers Vault it is 2nd top rated on just 2020 times, Epeius hasn't any recent c/d times but has a time from 2019 that takes it to 2nd top rated overall, my top rated on just 2020 times is LUCKY LODGE 11/2 and its best time from 2019 is also enough to make it top rated overall if only by 2lbs and will be the one carrying my money.

5:10 Goodwood Racing Tips (8th September)

GOODWOOD 5.10

Only 9 runners in this very competitive class 4 race which is very hard to analyse as there isn't any known front running types in the race, yes something will have to set the pace but what I have no idea so any stakes will be kept low, Little Boy Blue is top rated using its best 2019 time and looks likely to need this run for fitness after a break which it usually needs, my money will be riding on BEYOND EQUAL 11/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely at the finish, it is my 2nd top rated overall but top rated on just 2020 times and has good trainer 18% and jockey 15% stats with the stables older horses so may be worth an each way punt at the double figure price.

There's a few lightly raced sorts in this race which tempers my confidence and the size of my bets, I will look to lay (Jet Set Go 5/1 who might need further to show its best and Undercover Brother 5/1 who might not favour this surface) Archimedes is one of 3 that may attempt to set the pace here and its my 3rd top rated overall on a 2019 time, Fair Alibi is my 3rd top rated overall but is top rated on just 2020 times and could do best of those coming from off the pace, my top rated is LORD OF THE GLEN 7/1 who ran well last time out when finishing 2nd at Wolverhampton proving its in good heart at this time that running being only 6 days ago and if able to reproduce its best c/d time of 2019 it would get back to winning ways.

1:30 Lingfield - Free Horse Racing Tips (9th December)

LINGFIELD 1.30

Quite a competitive race for a Class 6 affair.

I can only find three horses that seem to have no hope of winning: Creek Harbour and Velvet moon have been known to lead when allowed to set a fairly slow early pace. While others will make sure that doesn't happen!

Majorette is a versatile type that has been known to lead. It comes out fourth overall on my figures.

The top horse, Aguerooo, comes out top on just 2019 course and distance times but third top overall.

George Dryden comes out second best using a 2018 time. However, this grey gelding has been terribly out of form lately and needs to show some signs of life before I back him.

Additionally, Daring Guest is joint second top on 2019 course and distance times and the 7lbs the apprentice claims puts it in the picture.

THE LACEMAKER 5/2, trained by Milton Harris, won last time out over course and distance. It was a slowly run affair. It ran a respectable time at Chelmsford, which is the same surface, and that would see it have every chance to follow up in this race. Unfortunately, it is a pretty short price.

The Lacemaker 3/1 1st

LINGFIELD 3.00

I hope all eight horses run.

I've got three horses marked down as possible lays in this race. Watchable likes to track the leaders and comes out fourth top on my figures.

Prince Of Rome hasn't run over this course and distance before. However, the colt ran a fair time at Chelmsford last year that would make it second top-rated. Richard Hughes' charge has got a significant jockey booking with Franny Norton in the saddle, so I expect it to run a big race.

Just That Lord is second top-rated on 2019 course and distance times. I expect this six-year-old to set the pace. However, trainer/jockey statistics don't inspire confidence.

GRACIOUS JOHN 7/2 is worth a punt. Ian Williams' son of Baltic King hasn't won in its last twenty-four starts and dropping down the handicap. Being drawn next door to the likely pacesetter it could get a good tow into the race.

Gracious John 7/2 7th

LINGFIELD 3.30

This should be fast and furious!

Five of the nine runners have set the pace before.

Green Door, drawn stall three, is third top rated. This front-running eight-year-old trained by Robert Cowell has good stats especially with 7lb apprentice Angus Villiers in the saddle.

Something Lucky is my fourth top-rated. He isn't a frontrunner so could profit if they go off too fast and fade badly in the closing furlong. I doubt that will happen but it could possibly stay on to make the frame.

I've got joint top-rated horses in Glamorous Rocket who is drawn in stall one (but this one's best speed figure was gained at Kempton and this is its 1st run over this course and distance).

WARRIOR'S VALLEY 9/1 is my other joint top rated. However, it's not drawn well in stall nine for this natural frontrunner. If getting to the front - could prove hard to catch.

I think the winner will come from these four horses and hopefully, I can dutch them all to show a decent profit.

I will favour the dutch bet rather than going with my top rated.

Warrior's Valley 12/1 9th

NEWCASTLE 6.15

A full house with fourteen runners.

It's a relatively poor class 6 race run over 6f.

I can only find one frontrunner so this may become tactical. My highest speed figure in this race is quite low. In fact, only four horses have a rating: The grey gelding Zebulon, who likes to track the pace, is fourth best.

Klopp comes out third best. This filly likes to be hold up.

The second top spot we have Global Humor who should be staying on strongly at the finish.

The top spot goes to the three-year-old ALMURR 7/1 who likes to track the leaders. Philip Makin's son of Dandy Man hasn't won in his last fifteen races but the booking of Ben Curtis with a 20% win rate for this stable brings further interest.

I will be having a small wager.

Almurr 7/1 7th

NEWCASTLE 6.45

This is a much better Class 6 race.

Again, there's not a lot of early-paced sorts competing.

I've marked eight horses as possible lays in the race!

Star Cracker is fourth top-rated. Jim Goldie's gelding and usually runs on at the finish.

Another hold-up type is Someone Exciting my fifth top-rated. There's only 1lb between them.

I've got joint second top-rated horses: Mightaswellsmile and Poppy In The Wind.

The former prefers other surfaces to show its best. The latter has a poor jockey booking with Luke Morris showing a 0-5 record for Alan Brown's stable.

LORD OF THE GLEN at 5/1 looks the best bet. Jim Goldie's four-year-old gelding is the only known front runner and if allowed to dictate will prove hard to catch.

Lord Of The Glen 13/2 2nd

Thanks for reading. I love to hear your comments.

3:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (1st November)

NEWCASTLE 3.45

My top 4 ratings have all recorded their best times this year, I think Ascended my 4th top-rated and Bugler Bob in 3rd top spot could feasibly make the frame here but would need to improve timewise to win this race, *EPEIUS 6/1 is my 2nd top-rated and the trainer has a decent strike rate at this course and has to be on my shortlist, my top rated is LUCKY LODGE 7/1 but this ones losing run of 21 is a little off-putting and the stable also has the 3yo Daafr in the race and it would appear on jockey bookings this one might be the more fancied of the pair from the Antony Brittain yard or it could be a ruse to throw people off the scent, I will as always stick with the proven but might have a covering bet on the 3yo if its fancied in the betting.

There's 5 horses in this dash that have been known to lead before but none of them are in my top 4 ratings but Hard Solutions stall 11 and Longroom stall 5 could do best of the front runners, Landing Night comes out 4th best on this years times and its best from last year would only move it to 3rd top spot, the 3yo Be Proud is my original 3rd top-rated so could go well here, Henley is top rated on c/d times from this year and usually stays on strongly at the finish over this distance if I look at Wolverhampton times QAARAAT 6/1 is top rated but its on a losing run of 21 and is a maiden on the AW tracks after 9 attempts, my stakes in this race will be kept low and I might even dutch my top 4 if its of value.

Qaaraat 7/1 1st + F/C £31.30 + T/C £212.50

NEWCASTLE 8.00

This dash has only 1 natural frontrunning type in the race with Star Cracker my 3rd top-rated having been known to lead if nothing else wants to but it could be enough to see it make the frame, Encoded is my 4th top-rated but hasn't been in good form lately and the jockey booking does look a positive move so it could go well, Little Miss Lola comes out joint top-rated but I have had to delve back to 2017 to find that time so I'm not if it can repeat its best from that long ago, my top rated is LORD OF THE GLEN 5/1 who is the one I expect to try and set the pace in this race, I would be more confident if it wasn't on a losing run of 27 races but there's a few others in the race with long losing runs but it does mean my stakes won't be at full strength.

NEWCASTLE 7.00

A poor class 6 race and only 5 of the 14 have recorded times, The Grey Zeberdee is a possible pacesetter is 5th on my figures, Willow Brook is 4th best on its best 2018 time, another possible frontrunner Swiss Connection comes out 3rd top and in 2nd spot I've got Gleaming Arch who won last time out and should go well here but in top spot I've got LORD OF THE GLEN 16/1 who is one of the known frontrunners and has been found a chance to get back to winning ways and at the price available it has to be given as an each-way wager.

NEWCASTLE 8.30

This stakes race has only 3 horses with times fast enough to register on my figures, Deeds Not Words is my 3rd top-rated but it is using its best time which was recorded on this surface at Wolverhampton, just 1lb higher in 2nd spot is Picks Pinta who stays on strongly at the finish at this distance but I'm hoping ROCKLEY POINT 15/2 can lead all the way here and the booked jockey has a 17% win ratio for this stable which I hope is a good sign, it is quite versatile when it comes to racing tactics so it doesn't have to lead but there doesn't look to be much early pace in the race.
