2:40 Beverley Racing Tips (12th July)

BEVERLEY 2.40 Div I

What a poor start to the days sprints, a 12 runner race but not one known front running type amongst them which automatically puts me on the back foot, I will look to lay Enraged 7/2 who races as though a longer distance would suit it better and this race doesn't look likely to be run to suit its style, as for the winner I have narrowed it down to 3 runners, BRAZEN BELLE 11/1 is my top rated and won at this distance 2 runs ago at Ripon and then didn't stay the 6th furlong in its last run but the trainer is 0-11 at this course and the jockey is 0-5 for the stable so I couldn't back just this one here, HOT SCOOP 13/2 is my 2nd top rated and will be trying to stay on at the finish so a low early pace might not suit, it also has poor trainer 0-4 and jockey 0-6 stats and its been 38 runners over the last 288 days since the stable last had a winner, my 3rd top rated ELZAAL 6/1 has slightly better trainer/jockey stats and the trainer has had 4 winners in the last 2 weeks, there is only 3lbs between my top 3 ratings so any could win but my stakes will be kept low.

BEVERLEY 3.10 Div II

This 2nd division isn't much better apart from the fact it has 2 known front runners, pity there wasn't one in each division, of the 2 I expect Newgate Angel to do best and if allowed an easy lead it could do enough to make the frame as its my 3rd top rated, I will look to lay Gorgeous General 7/1 who has only slow times on turf and is 0-16 on grass and I doubt that will change here, there two 3yo’s Primo 7/2 and Chant For More 9/1 who could be worth laying but I am adverse to laying these youngsters especially when there looks to be a safer lay in the race, Mokaman is my 2nd top rated and usually likes to track the leaders and could stay on to make the frame but i will be backing CUPPACOCO 12/1 (EW) who can be held up or track the leaders and if able to reproduce its best rating from 2021 at Thirsk it would win with a bit in hand and has good trainer/jockey stats with their elder horses with a double figure price on offer it has to be an each way wager.

Cuppacoco 14/1 Unp -2pts

Lay bet Gorgeous General +1pt

Total -1pt

CHELMSFORD 8.50

Nine runners with just one known front running type in the field, I will look to lay Amasova 9/1 who does its best ratings over shorter distances, Bomb Squad does come out 2nd best but that's using a time recorded on the Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton and drops to 3rd best on Polytrack figures only using a time from Kempton but I think a longer trip might suit it better, The Nail Gunner 5/2 has only slow times to its name both here and at Kempton so could be another one to lay especially at such a relatively short price, Brazen Arrow comes out in 2nd top spot on Polytrack times while the one I will be punting on is I AM A DREAMER 14/1 (EW) who is my top rated using a course and distance time it recorded last year and is the front running type I mentioned earlier and if getting to the front and fully fit it could lead all the way for the victory but at the price on offer it has to be an each way bet.

I Am A Dreamer 14/1 7th -2pts

3:28 Beverley Racing Tips (2nd July)

BEVERLEY 3.28

A typical Saturday class 4 handicap which is super competitive and to cap it all there's no known front running types in the race and I was going to leave this race alone but looking at the early tissue prices I saw that SOUL SEEKER 20/1 EW was forecast to be a 14/1 shot and if that is the case then it has to be worth an each way punt because if it can reproduce its best speed figure recorded in 2021 at Hamilton it would win this race so an each way punt will hopefully pay dividends and at an even bigger price than forecast I cannot let it run without some sort of a bet on it.

Soul Seeker 22/1 7th -2pts

SANDOWN 5.20

The 2, King Of Stars 12/1 and Mines A Double 5/1 are the 2 known front runners in the race and come out in joint 5th top spot on my figures so will be setting the race up for something attacking later on in the race and the latter might be worth laying at the price, Just Glamorous 7/1 might be worth laying if a single figure price at the off as it doesn't seem to like good to firm ground so I will only know for sure when I've watched an earlier race to see for myself what the going is like as there are plenty of showers forecast all over the country at times, Autumn Flight and Fantasy Master can produce good speed figures but in lower class races or on genuinely good ground, my money will be riding on LIVE IN THE MOMENT 9/1 who has been running in better class races than this one and likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish.

Live In The Moment 9/1 8th -1pt

Lay bets King Of Stars +1pt, Mines A Double +1pt

CARLISLE 5.50

A 10 runner class 5 apprentice jockeys handicap with 2 front running types and a 3rd, Corinthia Knight 10/3 that can lead if needs be so perhaps it wont try those tactics in this race and time wise it might not be able to lead if it wanted to as it can struggle to stay the distance with a fast early pace and if a single figure price I will look to lay it another I will look to lay is Somewhere Secret 10/3 who doesn't appear to like the faster going so as long as it doesn't rain I don't think it can win this race, Danzan 9/2 my 3rd top rated and Redrosezorro 6/1 my 2nd top rated are both front running types so should set a blistering early pace and I hope they might push themselves a little too hard and play into the hands of YUKON MISSION 8/1 who has good trainer/jockey usually races in midfield ready to pounce in the closing stages and this race could be run to suit it and with a clear passage pick up the leaders nearing the finish

CARLISLE 6.50 Div I

Not a bad race for a class 6 affair ten runners and 2 known front runners in Abel Handy and Shesadabber and the latter is my 4th top rated so with an easy lead it could possibly make the frame, I laid Sixcor 5/2 last time it ran and I will lay it again here as it stays on as though further suits it better and its best rating at this distance isn't good enough to win this race I will also look to lay Stanley Snugfit 7/1 who has a slow time recorded on good going and I don't think it likes good to from ground and the trainer is 0-13 at this course, Cuppacoco is my 3rd top rated but doesn't want really fast ground, Twice Adaay comes out 2nd best on time it recorded at Doncaster which is a completely different type of course, my money will be riding on the 3yo JUNGLE BEE 7/2 who finished 2nd last time and has been found an ideal opportunity to go one better in this race and break its duck at the 13th attempt.

NO BET - SOFT GROUND

CARLISLE 7.20 Div II

This 2nd division only has 9 runners but looks by far the weaker of the 2 divisions, Quanah 11/2 is the only known front running type in the race but I'm not sure it likes the faster ground so may struggle here and its one I will look to lay, its fairly close between my top 3 rated horses, Shes A Deva is my 3rd top rated but the 7lb’s the apprentice claims makes it joint top rated but its only won once in 16 attempts which isn't prolific the same applies to Elzaal who is 1-17, so I will side with HOT SCOOP 3/1 who has won 3 times in 18 runs and is my original top rated and will be staying on towards the finish of this race.

NO BET - SOFT GROUND
