1:05 Lingfield Racing Tips (30th November)

LINGFIELD 1.05

There's a couple of known frontrunners and if Sandridge Lad gets to the front this 3yo may prove hard to catch using a time from Chelmsford but has only had one race here which didn't go very well.

Grey Galleon has a time recorded at Kempton which would put this one in the mix.

Luis Vaz De Torres has a time from 2016 that could see it just make the frame but hasn't been anywhere near that level since and not for me here.

Alicia Darcy is 2nd top using just 2019 c/d times.

My money will be riding on SOMETHING LUCKY 7/1 who I'm hoping can get a clear run. I admit stall 12 isn't ideal so my stakes will be kept lowish.

Something Lucky 14/1 4th

LINGFIELD 1.40

In this race the early pace may be set by The Lacemaker and it's my 3rd top-rated using a time from Kempton last year so it could be very dangerous if allowed to set its own pace.

Papa Delta is 2nd top-rated on this year's c/d times but only 4th overall.

Hollander is my joint top rated on a 2018 time but the jockey booking doesn't inspire confidence.

I will back the other joint top-rated horse DANDILION 15/2 who could be ok in this race from stall 9 as it could track the likely leader across to the rails.

Dandilion 12/1 2nd

LINGFIELD 2.15

A strange tricky race. At first glance, my figures detail 5 that could go well. The biggest problem is the lack of known frontrunners.

Wild Flower has poor trainer/jockey stats so I will discard it from my final five.

Usually, Knockout Blow struggles to stay if there's a fast early pace but could go well in this race.

Porto Ferro could go well but is better on a different surface.

Kinglami has the plum draw in stall one and could set the pace. If doing so, could be dangerous if dictating its own pace.

I will side with *BERNIE'S BOY 7/2 who is 2nd top on just 2019 c/d times and has the fastest overall figure using a 2018 time. The apprentice jockeys 7lb claim could swing things even more in its favour but it is a bit shorter price than I had hoped.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.20

BIG LES has a time from Newcastle that would put it in 2nd top spot overall and could attempt to lead and if not then stay on at the finish, it has got good trainer/jockey stats so I will be backing it to some degree.

STEELRIVER had a good spell earlier this year after breaking a 70 plus losing streak but I think it's better over a longer trip. (I would look to lay it).

JOEGOGO has the fastest c/d time from 2019 so it has to be considered as it's a frontrunning type and it has got the plum stall 1 draw but it is on a losing streak of ten.

CAPPANANTY CON usually stays on at the finish over this distance and maybe too late in this race (so one to lay if of value).

INDIAN RAJ this has a very good trainer/jockey stats and has won at this distance at Newcastle although a slow run affair. It may not like this surface so the market could give me more information on its chances of winning.

DYNAMO WALT has had just over a four-month break. The trainer's winning record here isn't great and the jockey's record is 1-24 which is offputting.

POWERFUL DREAM is 3rd best on c/d 2019 times but it will need some degree of luck getting a clear run from stall 8 but could feasibly stay on to make the frame if not behind a wall of horses.

TATHMEEN is 2nd top on 2019 c/d times and only 1lb below my top rated and it could make the frame with a clear run.

AGUEROO has only slow times at this distance and it races as though further would suit it better and I would look to lay this one if a single figure price.

KODIAC EXPRESS is on a losing run of 11 which isn't ideal and it's one run over this c/d was poor and despite having a fast time from Chelmsford. It's not for me.

CELERITY is still a maiden after 80 runs and I can't see that changing here.

SUMMARY: I will be hoping this race is won from the front. Joegogo is top-rated on this year's c/d times and has stall 1. The horse I will be backing is the topweight BIG LES 6/1 who from stall 4 could lead or at least contest the lead. If getting to the font could prove hard to catch.

Big Les 6/1 1st
