1:50 Newmarket Racing Tips & Lay Bets (5th June) (40+ Profit Yesterday)

NEWMARKET 1.50

This is a complicated looking class 2 race and my selection is me putting myself out on a branch as it might really be a race-best left alone but hopefully I have found a nugget that is gold and not Iron Disulfide. I hope to lay 4 of the 12 runners, (Dazzling Dan + Recon Mission + Flavius Titus + Staxton) any of the following could go well, Gulliver, Summerghand, Open Wide and Swindler but my money will be riding on PASS THE VINO 8/1 (which is very apt in this lockdown and no pubs open) it ran a fast time in 2019 at Newmarket on the July course where the going was good to firm and it hasn't raced on ideal conditions since so I'm hoping this better going will spring it back to its best form.

Pass The Vino 8/1 3rd

Lay bets: Dazzling Dan +1pt, Recon Mission +1pt, Flavius Titus +1pt, Staxton +1pt

Total: +3pts

NEWMARKET 2.25

What a cracking looking Group 3 race, shame there is only 7 runners but that doesn't make it easy to solve and my stakes will be kept on the low side, the only one I could lay with any degree of confidence is Breathtaking Look who made need further to shine, Emeraaty Ana is the only known frontrunner in the race and could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead and most could struggle to catch it, if the pace is fast enough I think it could get caught by MR LUPTON 9/1 who is usually held up for a late run and if on a going day it is good enough to lead nearing the finish.

Mr Lupton 9/1 4th

Lay bets: Breathtaking Look +1pt

Total: 0pts

LINGFIELD 5.00

Things are not getting any easier with this class 4 race, there are 4 runners that have been known to lead so any that can struggle to stay the trip may be exposed in this race, I will look to lay 5 here (Iconic Knight + Erissimus Maximus + Royal Dynasty + The Lamplighter) I expect Badayel to be staying on strongly at the finish as could Lapidary although this one may need further but the race could be run to suit it, I will be taking a punt on MAMILLIUS 14/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on dourly so this race ought to suit it well.

Mamillius 14/1 4th

Lay bet: Iconic Knight +1pt, Erissimus Maximus +1pt, Royal Dynasty +1pt, The Lamplighter +1pt

Total: +3pts

NEWMARKET 5.55

Div-1

I can only find Bungee Jump as a frontrunning type and it could cause a few problems if allowed an easy lead but I doubt it can do enough from the front to hold on for the win, the ones I will lay are (*Golden Apollo + *Alaadel + Saaheq + Dunkerron + Deep Intrigue) I think Intisaab, George Bowen and Gunmetal could run well and cannot be discount easily, Mokaatil is my top rated but that is using a time from Epsom and this stiffer course may well not suit it so my money will be riding on SILENT ECHO 4/1 who is dropped in class from its last run.

Silent Echo 4/1 1st

Lay bets: Saaheq +1pt, Dunkerron +1pt, Deep Intrigue +1pt

*Total: +7pts  (I made a mistake on this as I hadn't noticed a couple of lays bets were none runners - all corrected, thanks to Eric pointing it out to me)

NEWMARKET 6.30

Div-2

Another hard race to solve I can only find 2 lays (Dream Today + Highland Dress) most of the others look to have some chance of making the frame so there may be some nice each-way bets in the race, only the betting can tell me which ones, Boy In The Bar is a possible each-way bet, its a possible frontrunner drawn in stall 3, Danzan has a time good enough to make the frame but this ones poor trainer/jockey stats nearly made it one to lay, my money will be riding on *BETSEY TROTTER 11/1 who is drawn highest of all in stall 11 is a possible pacesetter and from the wings of the field shouldn't get into any trouble and I am hoping it can lead all the way here.

*NR

Lay bets: Dream Today +1pt, Highland Dress -2.25pts

Total: -1.25pts

*Total on the day: +11.75pts
