4:45 Newmarket Racing Tips (4th June)

NEWMARKET 4.45

This dry spell is ideal for my speed figures so let's hope they don't water it too much before racing, I will look to lay (Thegreatestshowman who is better over a shorter trip, I'm Available may prefer further and also a slower surface, Tin Hat is my 3rd lay as it prefers a shorter distance) Ginger Fox looks as though it might prefer further and a shorter trip but it does have positive jockey booking. I'm not sure whether I dare lay it, the price will make my mind up, DRUMMOND'S WARRIOR 14/1 is the one I think will set the pace and could be the danger and could win here if my selection doesn't run to its best so could be worth an each-way bet at the price but I will be backing COUNT OTTO 4/1 who will be trying to stay on the stronger towards the end of the race.

Count Otto 4/1 3rd
Drummond's Warrior 14/1 7th

Lay bets: Thegreatestshowman +1pt, I'm Available +1pt, Tin Hat +1pt

Total +1pt

NEWCASTLE 5.05

There are 3 known frontrunners in this 5-furlong dash but I think they will set the race up for a finishing type, I will look to lay (Society Queen who may need further and Jewel Maker who might prefer a slower surface) Royal Brave is my 3rd top-rated but the jockeys 0-18 record for the stable makes me think a place is maybe the best it will attain, Buniann is another with a negative jockey booking, this one's record is 1-15 so my money will be riding on TABAAHY 4/1 who can track the leaders or be held up and could get a good tow into the race with the make-up of this race and the horse has good AW stats.

Tabaahy 11/2 1st

Lay bets: Society Queen +1pt, Jewel Maker +1pt

Total: 7.5pts

NEWMARKET 5.20

Division 2 of this sprint and it should be a fast run affair with four known frontrunners in the field of 11, I have found 3 I would like to lay (Commander Han who looks better over a longer trip, Ginger Jam doesn't look as it stays this distance and this race won't be run to suit it, Chairmanoftheboard may prefer a longer trip or a slower surface maybe both) the topweight BUNGEE JUMP 25/1 has good jockey stats and could set the pace and I think I will have to have a covering each-way bet on it just in case it can lead all the way at the price, my main bet is BOY IN THE BAR 11/2 who is another that has been known to lead but this one might not like really fast/firm going.

Bungee Jump 33/1 1st
Boy In The Bar 20/1 8th

Lay bets: Commander Han +1pt, Ginger Jam +1pt, Chairmanoftheboard +1pt

Total: +35pts

Total on the day: +43.5pts (Excellent from Eric Winner)
