7:30 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (22nd January)

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30 Div I

Two divisions of a poor stakes race and in this division I have only four horses with a recorded speed figure (I have a lower limit) Miracle Garden is my fourth top rated using a course and distance time it recorded in 2021, First Verse 9/4 comes out in second top spot but that is using a speed figure it recorded at Chelmsford last year and is still a maiden after thirteen races plus the stable hasn't had a winner in the last two weeks so looks poor value and one I would look to lay, Brazen Arrow 4/1 comes out top rated but again using a Chelmsford speed figure but this one is also still a maiden after having thirteen runs and its one hundred and forty nine days since this stable last had a winner so maybe worth laying, my money will be riding on TOP BOY 4/1 who is my top rated on just 2021/22 speed figures and the apprentice booked to ride has a twenty eight percent win ratio for the stable which makes me think that connections are expecting it to win this race the only thing that worries me is the lack of known front running types in the race.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.00 Div II 

This second division is actually the worst one of the two with only two horses in this race with recorded speed figures, I will look to lay Indian Affair 6/1 who hasn't won a race since 2019 and at twelve years old it might be on a downward spiral as age catches up with it although the stable has been in good form recently with three winners from ten runners in the last two weeks and it was a slow run affair that it finished third in last time it ran, Dodgy Bob 25/1 is one of two known front running types in this race but might need this run for fitness which it usually does when returning after a break (the betting seems to agree with me) and wasn't in good form in its last few races before its break, Knockabout Queen comes out second best using a speed figure recorded at Lingfield last year or on a 2020 figure recorded over this course and distance, my money will be riding on the other known front running type SEEKING PERFECTION 10/3 who is top on just 2021/22 figures recorded over this course and distance but has a figure it recorded at Newcastle last year that would see it winning this race quite cosily, admittedly it hasn't been in great form in its latest runs but is capable of bouncing back to form without warning. This horse was forecast to be a sixteen to one shot on the early tissue prices so I am disappointed to see its early price but i cannot see anything worthwhile to oppose it with.

2:40 Newmarket Winning Racing Tips (18th September)

NEWMARKET 2.40 

I'm hoping the going is good or better here, the course does dry out quickly as its a chalky area so please tread carefully and watch an earlier race if possible to see what the going is like. In this race I will look to lay Beauty Choice 8/1 who might prefer a longer distance than today's to show its best but this should be a fast run affair which should suit it, Equiano Springs 8/1 is one of the two known front running types in this race and it comes out 3rd best on my figures so could make the frame and worth an each way interest, TOUSSARAK 5/2 is the other likely pacesetter and comes out 2nd best on my figures using a time recorded at Goodwood and if getting to the front could prove hard to pass and does have good trainer/jockey stats and has to have some chance especially if my top rated horse WORLD OF WINDHOVER 11/4 doesn't repeat its best time, which it recorded at Yarmouth, over this completely different kind of course so I will be backing both of them to cover the angles.

A poor class 6 race even by All-Weather standards but hopefully I've found a gem amidst the dirt, I have marked down both *Iesha and Big Impact as possible lays and are forecast to be single prices in the betting there are other possible lays but I expect them to be outsiders in this field, Blue Cable is my 4th top rated using a 2021 time, Jungle Inthebungle comes out 3rd best using a 2020 time, in 2nd top spot is Bernards Spierpoint but this ones best time wasn't done on this surface, THAKI 7/4 is my top rated and the only known front runner in the race and if getting to the front it ought to prove uncatchable and the trainer and jockey stats hopefully point to the stable expecting it to win here, the price is pants but a reproduction of its last win would see it winning a shade cosily.

A strange looking race with just the one known front runner in the field, I will look to lay Strong Power 10/1 and Show Me A Sunset 11/1 if they are single price figures in the betting, so I'm hoping they are backed a little, the main strange thing is that its impossible to narrow it down to a one horse conclusion so it looks like I will be dutching 3 horses in this race, SEEKING PERFECTION 14/1 who is the front running type and could go well especially if allowed an easy lead and is my 3rd top rated,*TATHMEEN 10/1 is 2nd top rated on just 2021 times and with the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim it moves to top rated on my overall figures but only 1lb above *CANFORD BAY 9/2 who is top rated on just 2021 times so I will go with a win bet and two each way bets.
