8:30 Newcastle Racing Tips (1st October)

NEWCASTLE 8.30 

*THE BELL CONDUCTOR 5/1 hasn't any form on this surface and looking at its turf form I think it might need further to show its best, it did a good time at Thirsk on good to firm ground but that's looks a bit of a fluke time where it might have got towed along in a fast run race so - will look to lay this runner.

BUNIANN 9/2 usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly nearing the finish and it is my top rated on just 2021 times and that time is good enough for 3rd top spot overall so could be worth an each way interest.

MUTABAAHY 14/1 this is its 1st run of the year over this course and distance, it will need to improve on the time when it won here in 2020 but it has recorded a slightly better time on this surface at Wolverhampton but still not good enough to make my top 4 ratings.

GOWANLAD 14/1 is usually held up for a late run but this distance seems to be a bit too short for it to show its true form and I think it will be one of the outsiders in this race. 

DUKE OF FIRENZE 14/1 can run in midfield or track the leaders and time wise it sits in 5th place and would need others to falter for it to make the frame and maybe worth laying if its of value to do so. 

GOLD ZABEEL 12/1 the trainers record at this course is 2 wins from 61 runners although none of those runs were over this distance and it looks likely to be better over further, its still a maiden after 10 runs, although it did get placed in 6 of those 10 races, and it is one I will be laying in this race. 

QUEEN OF KALAHARI 13/2 the jockeys record of 0-11 is uninspiring and time wise it needs to improve a good few spots, I think it either wants further or a slower surface, maybe even both, and the trainer is 0-11 in the last 2 weeks and its been 57 days since the stable last had a winner so another I will be laying. 

MEHMO 10/1 3yo still still hasn't won after 11 races on the All-Weather tracks and its run here this year resulted in a slow time but it could be one to set the pace to the race but only if allowed to set a slightly slower pace than usual for this class of race. 

BIG THANKS 16/1 3yo who has had 1 run over this course and distance which resulted in a slow time and is still a maiden after 15 runs in total on both turf and AW tracks but has been placed in 3 of its 4 races on the AW so could make the frame but I'm not sure its good enough to win this race. 

ANOTHER ANGEL 4/1 hasn't shown much so far this year but its best time from last year it comes out top rated on my figures and on this straight course the draw doesn't matter and this is the one I think will set the pace to the race and could lead from start to finish. 

THE GLOAMING 11/1 3yo has a time it recorded this year that would make it 2nd top on just this years times and 4th top overall but the trainers win percentage at this course is quite low but usually stays on at the finish over this distance. 

SUMMARY: A couple of known front runners so it should be a true run race and I think one of them ANOTHER ANGEL 4/1 could lead all the way and is top rated on its best time from 2020 and will be carrying some of my money the other one I will be backing is BUNIANN 9/2 who is my top rated on just 2021 times and there's 3 in this race I will be laying to hopefully make a profit from this race.

NEWCASTLE 2.50 

A 9 runner class 4 race with 2 known front runners and i think this race could well be won from the front, I will look to lay (Treble Treble 7/1 +Spanish Angel) if they are in single figure prices, I've only got 1lb between my 3rd to 5th top rated and Devils Angel and Dandys Gold who are joint 3rd top rated could fight it out to make the frame, SPARTAN FIGHTER 18/1 who has won twice over this c/d is my top rated and will most likely attempt to lead all the way but its last 4 runs haven't been great but its win in the race before that would see it winning a little cosily but just in case it runs poorly again I will also have to back GLOBAL WARNING 2/1 who is the other known front running type and has won both of its races over this c/d so I think these 2 could have the race between them from the off. Treble Treble 7/1 2 Points lay...Spartan Fighter 18/1 ½ Point Each Way...Global Warning 2/1 1 Point win

LINGFIELD 3.10 

A nice looking class 2 conditions race, I will start as usual with a lay, (Harrys Bar 4/1) who has times that are relatively slow for this class but it does usually run a decent race and could maybe make the frame and I am only looking to lay the win part, time wise its fairly close between my top 4 ratings, Aberama Gold who has quite poor trainer/jockey stats and stall 1 maybe not ideal in the make up of this race, Lampangbut this one might just get its high speed rating by getting towed song in a fast run race but hasn't won for awhile, Brian The Snail very often runs well and will be trying to stay on at the business end of the race but i will be putting my faith on HIGHLAND DRESS 11/1 who is drawn in stall 2 and being the only known front runner it could gain control of the rails until in the home straight and then kick on for the win and the one has got trainer stats at this course and the jockey has a 20% win ratio on this stables older horses. I hope all 8 runners take part in case I find an each way bet, I will lay (Erich Bloch) if a single figure price as it might need this run for fitness, in mot sure this surface really suits it and it might even need a longer trip, the early pace may be set by Kind Review and/or Another Angel, the former needs to improve time wise whilst the latter maybe outclassed at this level, Canford Bay is versatile when it comes to racing tactics and could be worth an each way bet if any value to do so but I will be relying on BUNIANN 2/1 who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely at the finish, the price is poor but it would be ok in a multi-bet. CHELMSFORD 6.10 

I can only see Three Card Trick as a known pacesetter and it could make the frame but it only comes out 5th top rated on my overall figures and that time was recorded back in 2019 so not 100% sure what to expect but I think I will lay it if its a single figure price, Aces and Suzis Connoisseur are my joint 3rd top rated horses, Chocco Star recorded a fairly decent time when finishing 2nd but ran poorly last time out and it doesn't appear to be a very consistent beast but could make the frame, top on my list is EXCELLENT GEORGE 7/2 who can track the leaders or be held up for a late run and it has won 3 times and been placed 9 times from its 12 runs over this c/d the only downside is the stall 10 draw but I am hoping the apprentices 7lb claim can swing things in this ones favour. LINGFIELD 2.00 

I am not sure what to expect from Zargun who hasn't raced in the UK before but it did run in Group 3 races but hasn't won a race since 2018 so I will leave it alone, the early pace might be set by Recon Mission who comes out in 3rd top position, in 2nd top spot I've got Total Commitment who likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish but my money will be riding on COUNT OTTO 3/1 (1 Point Win) who has the plum stall 1 draw and has won 3 times over this c/d.

Only 6 runners and the early pace may be set by Dapper Man in this race and if getting to the front it could prove had to catch if it can reproduce its best time from 2018 but its best time from 2020 isn't that far off the same level so could go well but if BUNIANN 2/1 (1 Point Win) reproduces its best time which it did record this year it would see it winning this race a little cosily.

Quite a tricky class 6 race, Epeius would be in the mix if using times from 2018/19 but hasn't been in good form lately, Griggy, Kilconquhar, Billy Wedge, Wicklow Warrior and Kroy all have snippets of form that could see them contest to make the frame but i will be going with 2 selections in this race, STAR CRACKER 28/1(1/2 Point Each Way) could be the one to set the pace here and if putting its best hoof forward could lead all the way but its a little bit too inconsistent to be having just the one bet so I will also back ATRAFAN 11/2 (1 Point Win) who is top rated on recent c/d figures.

There are 3 horses that have been known to lead so it should be a true run race and it looks a very competitive affair, the top weight Asad could be an interesting runner as it has led and won over 7 furlongs before and this is its 1st race over today's 6 furlongs, the other 2 front runners, Gunmetal and Spartan Fighter could also go well, Athoillblair Boy will win a race somewhere this year but only wins one or possibly 2 races per year, Ghathanfar is usually held up for a late run and could get a good tow into the race being drawn in stall 2 with a fast starter either side of it, top rated on my figures is HART STOPPER 17/2 (1 Point Win) who has 1 win and 1 place from its 3 previous runs over this c/d and could go well now refreshed after a short break.

NEWCASTLE 8.15 

This is a nice looking race for a class 6 affair with 3 known front runners amongst the field of 9 over the minimum distance, Rebel Redemption looks to want further and might be worth laying, Harrogate could do best of those coming from off the pace if bouncing back to form as it hasn't shown much lately, Manumission was a beaten favourite last time it ran but would need to improve time wise on its best Wolverhampton time to win this race although this is its debut over this c/d, Van Gerwen a possible pacesetter who comes out 2nd best on a time from 2020 may need this run for fitness, Swiss Connection can possibly lead and comes out 3rd top on my figures and would need to improve a few spots to win this race, that leaves me with ROCKLEY POINT 4/1 (2 Points Win) who is also a front runner and my top rated so if getting to the front could prove a hard nut to crack.

8:30 Newcastle Racing Tips (2nd October)

NEWCASTLE 8.30 

DAZZLING DES 14/1 a 3yo who usually races midfield and then stay on at the finish and could possibly make the frame but would need others to falter to win the race.

ANOTHER ANGEL 20/1 one of 4 in the field that have been known to lead before and hasn't shown much time-wise over this c/d this year and its best time is just outside my top 4 ratings.

ASTROZONE 9/2 a 3yo that could try to lead but its another who’s best time is just outside my top 4 speed figure ratings so maybe worth at least laying the win part.

YOUNG TIGER 10/1 has been consistently about the same rating for the last 3 years but may need to drop a grade to get back to winning ways.

BUNIANN 6/1 is my top rated on just 2020 times and it usually likes to track the pacesetters and then stay on strongly at the business end of the race and could get a good tow being drawn between 2 possible front runners.

LADY NECTAR 7/1 another 3yo but this one hasn't shown much and is held on form by Astrozone from a previous race so maybe another lay at the price.

STAR PRIZE 16/1 yet another 3yo but I think this one will be a better prospect when tried over longer distances.

SUMMIT FEVER 14/1 this 3yo is one of the 4 that could set the pace it hasn't raced here before but will need to improve on its best Lingfield time to win here.

MODULAR MAGIC 20/1 the 6th and final 3yo in the race it is making its debut on the AW but its best time on g/f on turf doesn't put it on my radar as far as winning this race.

WAR WHISPER 9/1 can be held up or track the pace and is 2nd best just using 2020 c/d times and could easily make the frame.

SIGNORE PICCOLO 66/1 has only one previous run on the AW and looking through its form on turf I'm not convinced this surface will suit it.

LONGROOM 16/1 this is the 4th horse that could try to front run in the race and is 3rd top on just 2020 times and 2nd top rated overall so could make the frame.

BE PROUD 3/1 hasn't shown its best time wise so far this year but has a time from 2019 over this c/d that would make it top rated overall.

NIBRAS AGAIN 16/1 its best time from 2019 wouldn't see it competing for the win but maybe better when tried over further.

SUMMARY: This race could revolve around the Paul Midgley stables 3 entrants, Buniann, Longroom and War Whisper, who are all in my top 5 ratings, and the jockey bookings don't help in sorting them out but I will have to back BUNIANN 6/1 who has the highest rating for 2020 another I will back is BE PROUD 3/1 who is top rated overall, while Longroom could do best of the front runners but I am expecting/hoping they go off too fast and fade nearing the finish which will play into the hands of my 2 selections.
