7:15 Newcastle Racing Tips (24th March)

NEWCASTLE 7.15

A class 6 sprint with 11 runners and two possible pacesetters where I will look to lay Atlantic Heart 8/1 who might need further to show its best form. Mumcat 14/1 is my fourth top rated and can be held up or track the leaders and could possibly make the frame, Kapono 14/1 sits in third top spot using a rating it recorded at Southwell last year and another that can be held up or track the leaders and another one that could possibly make the frame. GUNNERSIDE 6/1 is my 2nd top rated horse using a Southwell rating recorded this year and is the one that i think will set the pace to the race and could be very dangerous if allowed an easy lead and I will be having a covering bet on it just in case it does lead all the way but I do have CROCODILE POWER 10/1 rated 2lbs higher and this one likes to track the leaders before staying on strongly at the finish and the jockey has a decent 17% win ratio for the stable and as usual when its a double figure price it has to be an each way wager.

A class 6 dash with a full house of 14 runners with 2 known front running types amongst them, I will be looking to lay One Hart 6/1 who might need further to show its best form, Enraged 5/1 who has had 3 runs on this surface but done nothing of note time wise and my 3rd lay will be Kraken Power 8/1 who might also need further or a change of surface or maybe both before it can reproduce its best and its best rating wouldn't be good enough to win this race. Marwari is my 6th best rated with Primo's Comet in 5th top spot and there's only 2lbs between them and I have a trio of horses, Elzaal, Impressor and Nellie French, rated just 2lbs higher, so with just 4lbs between all 5 of them any of them could make the frame but if ANOTHER ANGEL 10/1 (EW) reproduces its best rating recorded over this course and distance this year then it would win a shade cosily and could be able to lead all the way in this race and is drawn high, stall 13, which does seem to be an advantage on this straight course and at a double figure price it has to be given as an each way wager.

2:50 Newcastle Racing Tips (4th December)

NEWCASTLE 2.50 

TRICKY BUSINESS has never won over this distance and has been in poor form but I expect the price will show that. 

GOWANBUSTER is the one who I think might set the pace to this race and if not needing this race after a 192 day break could go well and do enough to at least make the frame.

MARTINEO hasn't shown anything worthwhile time wise in its recent runs and I expect it will be a double figure price. 

ANOTHER ANGEL is my top rated using its best rating from 2021 but hasn't been at that level since then but this race wont take much winning. 

JEMS BOND is another to add to the list of horses that hasn't been in good form in its recent races but is my 3rd top rated using a 2021 rating. 

DICK DATCHERY has only slow times over this distance and may need further to show its best and its last 3 runs have been poor. 

TYNAN hasn't much form in this country but using its Irish form I think further would suit it better and maybe worth risking with a lay bet if a short priced favourite as forecast.

KITTYBREWSTER has never won over today's distance and hasn't been in good form in its recent races and might be worth laying if a single figure price. 

SIX O’HEARTS has any form over this distance and is a maiden after 7 runs but did stay on well over 5 furlongs so could go well here. 

GLEN LOMOND is another who hasn't won over today's distance and has also been in poor form recently. 

SUMMARY This is a poor race even for a class 6 affair and maybe its a race to leave well alone but if GOWANBUSTER 6/1 can recapture its best 2021 rating from the front could go very well in this race but I do have ANOTHER ANGEL 9/1 rated higher again using 2021 ratings so any stakes if any would be kept low. PS there is 2 other sprints today and neither have much solid form from which I could confidently back in either race and to be honest it might be a day to keep my money in my pocket.

2:50 Newcastle Racing Tips (19th October)

NEWCASTLE 2.50 

A full house of 14 runners with 3 known front running types amongst them and Jordan Electrics, my 2nd top rated and Giogiobbo my joint 4th top rated will make sure its a true run race and both of them might be worth looking at for an each way punt, there's a couple of possible hidden dangers in Pagan and Silver Samurai which means my stakes will be kept low, I'm not sure if anything I see that I might lay will be a worthwhile price so I will hold fire on the lays till I see some betting, my money will be riding on CAPTAIN VALLO 5/1 a 3yo that won last time out in a fast time, admittedly it was in a lower class race but I'm hoping this is an improving 3yo and can take the upgrade in its stride and follow up again here.

A fairly nice looking class 5 dash with 2 front running sort’s to ensure there's a fast early pace, La Roca Del Fuego has been in cracking form winning its last 4 races on an artificial surface but they were all recorded at Chelmsford and hasn't any form over this course and distance, 3 of its 4 wins were over 6 furlongs but it did win over five furlongs last time out by leading all the way but that time would only be good enough for 3rd top spot on my overall figures and it might not be quite fast enough to lead in this race as my top rated SPIRIT POWER 11/1 (EW) is also a front running type who has good trainer and jockey stats although the trainer is 0-9 for the last 2 weeks its only 23 days since they had a winner and will be the one carrying my money with an each way wager at the price, the horse that might do best of those coming form off the pace could be Smokey who has a time from Lingfield last year that makes it my 2nd top rated on my overall figures and strangely none of the horses in this race have a recorded time for this year so everything is more of a gamble.

I will wait until the day of the race before deciding if there's anything worthwhile laying in this race as it does look a very competitive affair and I am not 100% sure its race to be betting in at all, on the clock I looked at ANOTHER ANGEL 9/2 one of the possible pacesetters and comes out 3rd best on my overall figures using a 2020 time so could go well but the trainer is 0-11 in the last 2 weeks which muddies the waters, LORD OF THE GLEN 6/1 is another possible front runner and comes out in top spot using a time from 2020 when it won over this course and distance but the trainers 0-17 in the last 2 weeks doesn't fill me with confidence,YOUNG TIGER 8/1 could be the one to prosper if the leaders tire but once again I am using a 2020 time to find its best speed figure and hasn't shown much in its last few runs on turf so maybe the switch back to the All-Weather will inspire it to bounce back to form so I will be dutching the three of them.

7:30 Newcastle Racing Tips (8th October)

NEWCASTLE 7.30 Div1 + 8.00 Div2

 A poor class 6 Race split into 2 divisions and the lack of data to work with makes it virtually impossible to analyse the race properly, division 1 has 6 of the 11 runners which are either 3yo’s or lightly raced older horses and I haven't got 1 horse with a recordable time for this year while division 2 has 8 horses of the 11 being 3yo’s or lightly raced older horses although it does have one of my old favourite horses in the shape of Qaaraat who is likely to pop up without warning and finished 2nd last time out so could be ready to strike, it has won or made the frame in 34 of its 62 runs on the AW tracks so might be worth an each way interest if its a double figure price but now I've seen the betting (it was forecast to be 12/1) its only a 6/1 shot which to me doesn't represent value so I will leave the race alone. 

NEWCASTLE 8.30 

NIBRAS AGAIN 13/2 has a poor jockey stat of 1-17 and it usually stays on at the finish but maybe too late in this race but is my overall 4th top rated.

SPANISH ANGEL 14/1 is a hold up type but time wise it would need to improve to catch the leaders in this race but isn't value to lay at the price.

ROYDMOOR 10/1 has only a slow time from Wolverhampton to its name and would need to improve on its best speed figure from the turf to win this race so maybe worth laying if a single figure price.

STREET LIFE 7/2 has poor trainer stats and might be another that i will lay if of value to do so as it needs to improve time wise to win here and maybe the handicapper has caught up with it after its recent spell of good form winning 3 races on the trot and a 2nd place last time out.

CANFORD BAY 12/1 a possible pacesetter and all bar one of the early paced types are drawn high so that might be the deciding factor in this race and this one could make the frame.

GLORIOUS RIO 12/1 is my 2nd top rated on just 2021 times but only 6th top rated overall but could go well from stall 10 especially if the leaders tire nearing the finish and possibly make the frame. 

NEVER SAY NEVER 12/1 has only slow times on turf over this distance but has only had 5 runs to date so could improve but hopefully not in this race.

COLOMBE 9/1 this one doesn't make my top 6 ratings but its best time is from Wolverhampton so likes the surface and could improve in time. 

NAVAJO SPRING 20/1 has poor recent form and its best from last year leaves it quite a good few spots off those at the top of my list but not of value to lay. 

TANASOQ 14/1 this one may be better when it races over a longer distance and its best time points to it as well but I think it will be an outsider. 

SOMEWHERE SECRET 25/1 has poor recent form and it may also prefer a longer distance to show its true worth and stall 1 might not be ideal in this race. 

ANOTHER ANGEL 5/1 one that could lead this race and its in stall 11 and on my figures its my top rated using its best time from 2020. 

VAN GERWEN 10/1 drawn in stall 8 this is another one that likes to lead but its 0-5 on the AW surfaces does put me off a bit but it could make the frame. 

ROMAN ENCOUNTER 25/1 a possible pacesetter from stall 12 its also my top rated on just 2021 times and 3rd best overall so could go well. 

SUMMARY: Thinking that this race will be won from the front I will split my stakes between 2 horses, ROMAN ENCOUNTER 25/1 who is my top rated on just 2021 times and 3rd top overall and looking at the price it will be an each way wager on this horse ANOTHER ANGEL 5/1 who is 3rd best on this year and top on overall figures I will also look to lay Roydmoor 10/1 and Street Life 7/2 who both need to improve time wise and are predicted to be a single figure price if not then I will leave them alone.

8:30 Newcastle Racing Tips (1st October)

NEWCASTLE 8.30 

*THE BELL CONDUCTOR 5/1 hasn't any form on this surface and looking at its turf form I think it might need further to show its best, it did a good time at Thirsk on good to firm ground but that's looks a bit of a fluke time where it might have got towed along in a fast run race so - will look to lay this runner.

BUNIANN 9/2 usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly nearing the finish and it is my top rated on just 2021 times and that time is good enough for 3rd top spot overall so could be worth an each way interest.

MUTABAAHY 14/1 this is its 1st run of the year over this course and distance, it will need to improve on the time when it won here in 2020 but it has recorded a slightly better time on this surface at Wolverhampton but still not good enough to make my top 4 ratings.

GOWANLAD 14/1 is usually held up for a late run but this distance seems to be a bit too short for it to show its true form and I think it will be one of the outsiders in this race. 

DUKE OF FIRENZE 14/1 can run in midfield or track the leaders and time wise it sits in 5th place and would need others to falter for it to make the frame and maybe worth laying if its of value to do so. 

GOLD ZABEEL 12/1 the trainers record at this course is 2 wins from 61 runners although none of those runs were over this distance and it looks likely to be better over further, its still a maiden after 10 runs, although it did get placed in 6 of those 10 races, and it is one I will be laying in this race. 

QUEEN OF KALAHARI 13/2 the jockeys record of 0-11 is uninspiring and time wise it needs to improve a good few spots, I think it either wants further or a slower surface, maybe even both, and the trainer is 0-11 in the last 2 weeks and its been 57 days since the stable last had a winner so another I will be laying. 

MEHMO 10/1 3yo still still hasn't won after 11 races on the All-Weather tracks and its run here this year resulted in a slow time but it could be one to set the pace to the race but only if allowed to set a slightly slower pace than usual for this class of race. 

BIG THANKS 16/1 3yo who has had 1 run over this course and distance which resulted in a slow time and is still a maiden after 15 runs in total on both turf and AW tracks but has been placed in 3 of its 4 races on the AW so could make the frame but I'm not sure its good enough to win this race. 

ANOTHER ANGEL 4/1 hasn't shown much so far this year but its best time from last year it comes out top rated on my figures and on this straight course the draw doesn't matter and this is the one I think will set the pace to the race and could lead from start to finish. 

THE GLOAMING 11/1 3yo has a time it recorded this year that would make it 2nd top on just this years times and 4th top overall but the trainers win percentage at this course is quite low but usually stays on at the finish over this distance. 

SUMMARY: A couple of known front runners so it should be a true run race and I think one of them ANOTHER ANGEL 4/1 could lead all the way and is top rated on its best time from 2020 and will be carrying some of my money the other one I will be backing is BUNIANN 9/2 who is my top rated on just 2021 times and there's 3 in this race I will be laying to hopefully make a profit from this race.

4:30 Lingfield Racing Tips (26th March)

LINGFIELD 4.30 

There is not a lot of form to work with in this sprint which is not unusual in class 5 races, there is a couple I would like to lay (Onebaba 5/1 + Shining 4/1) the former may not really like this surface and or may need further while the latter seems better over shorter distances, Knockout Blow is well weighted on it’s best speed figure which was recorded this year, which I always a positive, but it does it’s best work in a lower class race than this one so maybe it cannot win this race, it has won over this c/d before but I think it is a better horse over shorter distances, the same applies about the rise in class, to Sir Hector, I think both or either could run a decent race but maybe not be able to win, the horse I will be putting my faith and money in is ALSVINDER 9/2 who at first glance doesn’t look to have done much recently, firstly the jockey booking looks a positive move a he has a 29% win rate on the stables older horses, secondly and hopefully more importantly is that this horse has been known to lead all the way before and with no other known front runners in the race it could lead all the way.

I am not a fan of backing favourites but I expect my selection will be the favourite for this race, i will start with a couple I will look to lay (Valentine Blues 10/3) as it looks as though its better over shorter distances, Tomahawk Ridge is the only known pace setting type in the race but it hasn’t any form on this surface so I am not sure what to expect but it could be dangerous with an easy lead, Dubai Paradise could run a decent race but it is still a maiden after 15 races, I will have a small bet on HEY HO LETS GO 4/1 who I hope can follow up on it’s win last time out.

This is a funny looking 5 furlong dash with 4 known front runners in the race, so they might go off too fast and then fade nearing the finish so i will back to horses to cover the angles, Fendale, Nibras Again and Fashion Advice are all capable of running well in this sort of race but I doubt any will be an each way price, I will back ANOTHER ANGEL 12/1 who is one of the front running types in the race and if able to reproduce its best time from 2020 would hold on for the win but I am hoping this one will be an each way price, secondly I will also back DAZZLING DES 11/2 who likes to run on strongly at the finish and the jockey does well on the stables older horses.

NEWCASTLE 7.45 Div I 

Being on a straight course here means the draw has little effect which is good for my selection in this race who is a front running sort, I have got 2 marked down as potential lays (Sambucca Spirit 9/1 + Harry's Ridge 6/1) the former may need a longer distance and this surface doesn't seem to be its favoured one, the latter may also prefer further but may also need this run for fitness, Klopp, Gleniffer and Suwaan could be the ones to prosper if the two front runners go off too fast, Swiss Connection is coming out of stall 5 and could run well but strictly on form it has the measure of Gleniffer but the latter has only had one previous run over this c/d so could improve but I will be siding with ARCAVALLO 10/1 who could set the pace and if able to reproduce its best rating from 2020 it could lead all the way but the jockeys 1-16 record for the stable means my stake won’t be at full strength.

NEWCASTLE 8.15 Div II 

Once again there's 2 known front runners in this 2nd division of the race and one of them will be my choice to win the race, some of the runners have bits of form that would make them competitive but firstly there’s a couple I will look to lay in this race, (Phoenix Star 11/2 + True Hero 6/4) the former has good jockey stats but the trainer is 0-3 at this course and maybe this one needs further to show its best although it has won at this distance in a slow run affair which will not happen here, the latter is predicted to be the favourite and certainly isn't value at the price when its best time from Wolverhampton would need to be improved upon to win this race and its 2 runs over this c/d both resulted in a slow time, I will let my money ride on ROCKLEY POINT 13/2 who can front run and its best time from last year would be good enough to see it win this race.

3:35 Southwell Racing Tips (11th March)

SOUTHWELL 3.35 

Now a field of 6 runners with just one known front runner amongst them but that horse Moonraker hasn't produced a recorded time since 2019 and hasn't shown much worthwhile form of late so I think it will set the race up for something coming from off the pace, Samovar is 3rd top rated on my figures and it likes to track the leaders before staying on at the finish, Qaaraat is well weighted and comes out 2nd best on my figures but I do have SMOKEY 9/4 rated higher but that figure comes from Chelmsford in 2020, it has ran over this c/d once before, in fact it was its last race, and won but it was a slow run affair but that might be because this surface has been running slow lately so the final times might be irrelevant and if so it must have more than a decent chance of following up in this race.

Another race with only 7 runners and again just one known front runner, I think Thrilla In Manila may need a longer trip to show its best, James Watt hasn't run on any AW track before but has won at this distance on both good to firm and good to soft ground on turf so this surface shouldn't be a problem unless it doesn't like the kickback off this surface, Good Luck Fox could have a decent chance looking at some of its turf form but its sole run here resulted in a slow time,Dazzling Des will be trying to stay on towards the finish of this race but I expect it will be too late to win the race, Primos Comet is another that likes to finish well and is my joint top rated but I will side with ANOTHER ANGEL 7/2 who is my other joint top rated and is the known front runner I mentioned earlier so I'm hoping it can get away fast and lead all the way.

5:40 Southwell Racing Tips & Lay Bets (2nd February)

SOUTHWELL 5.40 

A field of 8 with 3 of them been known to lead, I would lay Triple Spear if a single figure price and Knowing Glance may need further but this slower surface could help its cause, Samovar is my 3rd top rated and a possible pacesetter but stall 8 isn't ideal over this 6 furlong trip, in stall 1 there is ANOTHER ANGEL 16/1 (EW) who has been known to lead before and at the price I will have an each way bet on it, it hasn't any previous c/d form but has a time from Newcastle that makes it my top rated overall and the trainer has an 18% win ratio at this course, the bottom weight here, EXCESSABLE 6/1 likes to track the leaders and is top rated on just recent c/d times and that's enough for 2nd top spot overall, the trainer has a 20% win record here and the jockey is 21% winners on the stables older horses so i will go with the selections to cover the angles.

SOUTHWELL 6.10 

A class 2 race with nearly 12k to the winner and a poor turnout of just 5 runners even then its not an easy race to analyse, (Lomu 6/1) who might find the distance a bit too far in a fast run race so I would look to lay it, and GABRIAL THE DEVIL 5/2 will look to set the pace and if the latter gets to the front it could prove hard to catch as it is top rated on recent c/d times which is always a positive but its only good enough for 3rd top spot overall, Brian The Snail is 2nd top rated using a Lingfield time and this is its debut on this surface and would need to improve for the switch of surface to win this race, top rated is SHALLOW HAL 10/3 who won for me last time out and has been found a good chance to follow up here and has good trainer/jockey stats making it look like connections are expecting it to win here but i will back them both to cover the angles.

SOUTHWELL 6.40 

A decent field of 9 for this class 4 race but surprisingly for a 5 furlong dash there's only one known front running type in the race but Agent Shiftwell is in stall 8 which isn't ideal and may use up a fair bit of energy to get across from there and would need to improve a few spots if leading or steal the race from the front, Prince Of Rome is my top rated using a time from Lingfield in 2019 and this is its debut on this surface but the trainers 0-26 record here makes me think its got another target in its sights, Bellevarde has a time from Chelmsford that would make it my 2nd top rated overall but maybe better over further and this slower surface its 1st try over this c/d, might help its cause but isn't fancied in the betting, my money will be riding on MULZIM 3/1 who is my 3rd top rated overall but is top rated on recent c/d times recorded in 2020, it has good trainer/jockey stats which is always a positive and its c/d record is 4 wins and 2 places from just 7 runs proving its really at home here.

4:40 Southwell Racing Tips & Lay Bet (19th January)

SOUTHWELL 4.40 

I might look to lay, (Fantasy Keeper 11/2) who has recorded relatively slow times and hasn't been placed in any of its previous c/d races and (Giogiobbo 6/1) who has slow times at this distance and looks to need further to shine, there is another 3 with relatively slow times to their names and would therefore need to improve to win this race, my 4th top rated is You're Cool 9/1 who usually front runs but I'm not sure if it can lead here with 3 other potential pacesetters, Another Angel 9/1 comes out 3rd best overall using a Newcastle time as it hasn't run here before so not sure exactly what it will do on this surface, in 2nd top spot is Alsvinder 6/1 who is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics but has only a slow time to its name for its only previous c/d run which isn't enough form for me to be confident if it does or doesn't like this surface, Red Stripes 8/1 could lead and has been placed lately but the jockey is 0-7 for this stable, I think the winner should come from the four mentioned but I cannot favour any as having a better chance so the betting will be the deciding factor but I'm hoping to dutch all 4, ANOTHER ANGEL 9/1, RED STRIPES 8/1, YOU'RE COOL 9/1 and *ALSVINDER 6/1 to make a profit but it will be to low stakes.

SOUTHWELL 7.10 

Only 7 runners but still a tricky race with a few relatively lightly raced sorts in the field and this shows in the fact that I've only got 3 with recorded times, Nick Vedder 4/5 is 2 from 2 over this c/d and is my 3rd top rated and has won its last 2 races so is in rude form and could possibly complete the hattrick but can it give weight away to all of the others as its handicap rating rises, I'm not sure, Katelli 5/1 is a 4yo who improved last time out to finish 2nd and is my 2nd top rated plus the trainer does quite well at this course with a 23% win ratio with its older horses and could improve again so has to be considered as a possible winner, my top rated is the front running Archimedes 14/1 who has finished in the frame in its last 2 races but the jockeys 0-13 record for the stable is off-putting and the horse is also 0-13 over this c/d but has made the frame in 3 of those 13 races but if allowed an easy lead it could prove dangerous, I think the winner might come from the 3 mentioned but its not a race to get too heavily involved in money wise and it isn't worth dutching with an odds on shot in the race, if pushed I might go with a small wager on Archimedes just because of the price but I'm nowhere near confident enough to actually put it up as a selection.

A dash with 3 known front runners, I'm not sure A Go Go 3/1 can reproduce its form on this surface so worth a lay, Kaths Lustre 7/2 may need a longer trip therefore worth laying, Starchant and Fairy Fast are my joint 2nd top rated but both from times earlier in the season and they haven't shown much on their recent starts, my money will be riding on EQUALLY FAST 11/2 who is a possible pace setter and should be able to gain control of the rails and once in front it ought to prove hard to catch but the jockey Franny Norton is 0-10 for this stable which surprises me but it surely that must just be a coincidence and he has a chance to break his duck for the stable here.

A very competitive class 2 race i can only see Lomu 10/1 to lay if it drops to a single figure price, time wise I might also take on Premier Power 5/4 it has been in good form but none of its races were as fast as some of these can go on a good day and if favourite wont be of value and its even a shorter than i anticipated, Brian The Snail could stay on at the finish and is going for a hattrick of wins here, i will take a wild punt in this race by backing MERHOOB 12/1 (EW) each way, it has led before and from stall 4 could even grab the rails if it can beat the stall 2 horse out of the stalls, it has the fastest c/d figure for 2020 and that would be 2nd best overall but its best from 2019 pushes it back into top spot.

Quite a poor race where on tissue prices 8 of the 11 runners are predicted to be double figure prices and my top two are in the 3 that are fancied in the betting, The Mackem Torpedo 2/1 could be the favourite but i think it might need further to show its best and might be worth taking on with a lay bet and at the price isn't value to back in my opinion, i will be backing 2 horses to cover the angles, ROCKESBURY 13/2 could be the one to set the pace, it hasn't run here before so not 100% sure what to expect but its best time from Chelmsford makes it my top rated on overall figures so could lead all the way if not then my 2nd top rated horse KNOCKABOUT QUEEN 7/2 who is top rated on just c/d times and it was recorded this year which is always a positive.

This is a strange race where there's not a single horse that has a recorded c/d time from 2020 so I've had to go back to 2019 to find Billyoakes 6/1 best time while in its defence it has only had one c/d run this year so it could make the frame but the trainer/jockey stats are quite low and the price isn't really big enough to back each way, Miracle Garden is my joint top rated horse once again using a 2019 time but again the trainer doesn't have the greatest of stats at this course which leaves me with SWANTON BLUE 28/1 (EW) and this ones time was recorded this year but at Chelmsford and if it takes to this course it could be worth a small each way wager especially at the price on offer.

This is a decent looking class 4 race with just one known front runner in Mythmaker 5/1 who is my joint 3rd top rated horse alongside A Sure Welcome 4/1 who likes to track the leaders and both could make the frame if things go their way but neither are each way prices in my opinion, sitting in 2nd top spot is Steelriver 12/1 but its only by 1lb and this one can be held up or track the leaders so could make the frame and is an each way price but my money will be riding on CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 4/1 who won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up here, stall 10 isn't ideal but a repeat of its time last time out would see it winning this race a shade cosily. 

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30 

Sprint number 6 for the day, there's only 11 runners but its a race where I will have to dutch a few of them, ZULU ZANDER 10/1 is top rated on just 2020 c/d times so has to be included and its versatile when it comes to racing tactics, ANOTHER ANGEL 7/2 could be the one to set the early pace and is my 2nd top rated on overall figures and could make the frame but isnt an each way price then add BALLYARE 11/2 into the mix as this one is top rated using a Newcastle time but its best c/d time isn't good enough to even make the frame, I hope I've got the winner within the three selections but my stakes wont be at full strength.

5:30 Newcastle Racing Tips & Lay Bets (26th October )

NEWCASTLE 5.30 

BATCHELOR BOY 15/2 hasn't any c/d form to its name and its best time on this surface leaves it a few spots off the top spot but is versatile with its racing tactics.

OUTRAGE 11//1 a possible pacesetter and its best time over this c/d in 2019 make it my top-rated and the trainer is 2-2 with their runners here. 

DOC SPORTELLO 9/1 a versatile horse with its racing tactics and its best c/d time which came from 2018 still wouldn't see it winning this race.

SECRETINTHEPARK 16/1 one that could try to lead, its hasn't any recent AW form and its best from last year would still leave it a little bit short. 

LINE OF REASON 14/1 has a good time from 2017 but seems to be a little bit slower each year for this old-timer. 

GOWANBUSTER 14/1 another where I have to go back to 2018 to find its best and even then its best wouldn't be good enough to win this race.

MANSHOOD 12/1 I doubt it will be able to lead in this race and always looks to me as though further suits it better.

LUA DEL MEL 8/1 a 3yo who has only had 1 run over this c/d and its best overall figure would see it fall short of making the frame.

DAZZLING DES 6/1 this one will be trying to stay on at the finish and may do best of those coming from off the pace.

MERCENARY ROSE 14/1 hasn't any recent form on this surface and it would need to improve on its best time from last year to win this race.

ANOTHER ANGEL 8/1 is a frontrunning sort and is one side of the draw in stall 1 and this one is my top-rated on a time recorded here earlier this year. 

DUKE OF FIRENZE 6/1 has only 4 runs on the AW and has achieved 2 placed runs but timewise its been short of winning.

FRIENDLY ADVICE 18/1 has only a slow time from its 1 run over this c/d so would need to improve to win.

KIND REVIEW 11/2 hasn't any distance form to its name and might need a longer distance to show its true worth.

SUMMARY: A 5-furlong dash with 6 of the 14 runners having been known to lead before so it will be fast and furious, I will look to lay (Kind Review 11/2 who may need further to show its best and looks poor value, Manshood who also may need further) a few years ago, 2017 in fact, Line Of Reason would win this race win a little cosily but time catches up with everyone, my money in this race will be riding on ANOTHER ANGEL 8/1 (EW) who is a frontrunner and has stall 1 draw so it should get a clear run and if getting to the front it should prove hard to catch and the switch back to this 5lb claiming apprentice makes me think the horse's connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways but I also cannot ignore OUTRAGE 11/1 (EW) who hasn't been in great form so far this year but has a time from 2019 that makes it top-rated overall and the trainer's record here means I cannot ignore the horse I will be backing both horses with each way wagers.
