Tuesday's Racing Tips (20th September)

LINGFIELD 2.45 

A field of 12 with 3 front runners amongst them, the betting will decide whether there's any lays or not in this race but I am hoping that Michael's Choice will be of value to lay because this front running type wont get its own way in front and time wise it needs to improve to win this race so I doubt it can hold on even if it does lead, the 3yo Kodias Sangarius is my 4th top rated but did record its best rating this year over today's course and distance, Peggoty another 3yo could make the frame being my 3rd top rated, SWISS PRIDE 8/1 is my 2nd top rated and the one that could go well here and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and in the make-up of this race stall 12 might not be too bad and will be carrying some of my money but i do have YIMOU 7/1 rated higher who hasn't won from 8 previous runs on an artificial surface but in the last 2 weeks the stable has had 3 winners from just 5 runners and I will be backing both of them.

BEVERLEY 3.27 

Just 7 runners for this class 2 conditions race with 3 of them being known to lead before, apart from Sophie's Star who hasn't shown much the other 6 all have pieces of form that would give them a chance in this race, Bedford Flyer is my 3rd top rated and could do best of those coming from off the pace as my top rated pair both like race to the fore, King Of Stars sits in 2nd top spot and could gain control of the rails from stall 3 but JUDICIAL 4/1 is my top rated and a repeat of the rating it recorded at Ascot would see it winning this race and the jockey has a decent 19% win ratio for the stable.

LINGFIELD 3.55 

A class 6 race with 10 runners and just one known front running type, Saxon Village 10/3 is making its handicap debut but races as though a longer distance would be better for it and it might be worth taking the risk and laying it, Shawwaaq another 3yo is my 4th top rated and usually races in midfield during its races, Stake Acclaim comes out in 3rd top spot but hasn't been in good form lately especially its 3 runs this year, Hey Ho Lets Go comes out 2nd best on my figures and is a course and distance winner which is a positive but then so is my top rated HOWZAK 11/1 who is also the one that I think will set the pace to the race and this is a drop in class from some races its competed in lately and time wise it would win cosily if able to reproduce the rating it recorded here in 2021.

6:00 Chelmsford Racing Tips (23rd October)

CHELMSFORD 6.00 

A twelve runner race where seven of them, Shanghai Rock, San Juan, Portias Pearl, Red Stripes, Tittleys Rock, Lady Susie and Tilsworth Valerie, are either out of form or not shown any worthwhile form to date, I would hope to lay Jaffathegaffa 7/1 who I think might need further to show its best and this race might not be run to suit it, Howzak 3/1 has been known to lead before but over 6 furlongs so I'm not sure if it will be away quick enough to lead now its dropped to 5 furlongs but could be staying on at the finish and its best speed figure recorded here over 6 furlongs would make it mt top rated but I'm not sure that figure can be used in the context of this shorter distance race so neither a lay or a bet but I am hoping it doesn't cope with this drop in distance although it looks as though the bookies think it will handle to drop to 5 furlongs but looks too short in my opinion to take that risk but whether I've got the heart to lay it just because of the poor value, Rockesbury 5/1 is my 3rd top rated and should be staying on at the finish as I think a longer distance suits it better but isn't my idea of an each way price, Swell Song 13/2 is my 2nd top rated and is the one I think will lead in this race and the stall 1 draw will certainly help its cause BUT the trainer is 0-12 in the last 2 weeks and this 5yo is still a maiden after having had 24 races, it has made the frame in 7 of those races so could make the frame again in this race, my money will be riding on BLUELLA 7/2 who has only had one previous run on a polytrack surface where it was held up and in a relatively slow run race couldn't make any inroads close home but still recorded a time that would give it every chance here and the apprentices 3lb claim could be what tips things in its favour and the trainer has a 2-10 strike rate at this course.

Eight runners in this five furlong dash with half the field having been known to lead before so it should be fast and furious but I think it will be set up for something coming from off the pace. I Am A Dreamer 14/1 has got stall 2 the nearest of the front runners to the rails but I'm not sure if this one will be away fast enough in this race to make the stall 2 draw count as it might be better when raced over further and may get outpaced at this distance on this fast surface but isn't any value to lay at the price, Maajdah 5/2 and Araifjan 9/2 could do best of those racing to the fore with the former being a 3yo and the latter being my 3rd top rated horse and this horse is usually a good yardstick when on song and could make the frame but isn't an each way price, the top weight YIMOU 4/1 is my top rated using just 2021 course and distance times which is usually a positive tick beside its name and another tick could be that it is dropped in class to what its usually faced recently so has to be given a good chance in this race but I do have GARTH ROCKETT 16/1 (EW) rated just 1lb higher using this ones best time form 2020 a tick in this ones favour is that it has good trainer, 19% and jockey, 35%, stats and I the main reason I will be backing it is because of the price which looks generous I do think it has a decent each way chance.

4:45 Newmarket Racing Tips (9th July)

NEWMARKET 4.45 

A 17 runner 5 furlong dash and surprisingly there is only 2 known front running types amongst them. 

I think that King Of Stars 12/1 could do best of the 3 and might even stay long enough to make the frame if others falter but I doubt it can lead all the way for the win so it would have to be used as an each way punt. 

I will look to lay both Additional and Gellhorn if they are single figure prices as I think both of them will do better when racing over a longer distance. 

The 2 at the bottom of the handicap Secretinthepark and Good Luck Fox have been in decent form and are capable of recording a fastish time but in lower class races and they might struggle in this class to repeat those times so maybe worth laying if they are of value to do so. Han Solo Berger 20/1, Embour 14/1, Benefit Street 10/1 and Nibras Again 10/1 are capable of running well in this race and could possibly be worth backing each way if they are value to do so but I will be doing two other each way bets in this race which I think that look the value call in this race. 

Firstly, I will back YIMOU 14/1 (EW) who is my top rated using a time recorded this year at Windsor and usually stays on strongly at this distance and with 3 known front running types in the race this race could be run to suit, my second each way bet will be on SAAHEQ 20/1 (EW) who is my 2nd top rated and could be the bet if the going wasn't being given as good to firm as it seems to prefer genuine good ground. 

With scattered showers forecast for the area I will back them both each way to cover the angle’s concerning the going and if there is cut in the ground (softish going) then as usual I will not be backing anything as all my data is calculated using good or faster ground.

3:15 Newmarket Racing Tips (15th August)

NEWMARKET 3.15

As usual with the thunderstorms forecast for virtually anywhere in the country please make sure the going is good to firm before placing any bets, there's a few unexposed sorts in this race which isn't ideal but hey ho that's racing, My Style and Buccaneers Vault have pieces of form that could see them making the frame here if reproducing their best, Lethal Angel comes out 2nd top overall using 2019 times and its best time from 2018 would make it my top-rated but its form this season has been way below that so I will put my money on CASE KEY 5/1 who is the only known frontrunner in the race and if getting its own way at the head of affairs could prove hard to catch.

This is a nice looking but very competitive class 3 affair but at least there is some known early paced sorts and both Jack The Truth and Machree could go well from the front if allowed an easy time, others with some form that could see them in the mix are, Line Of Reason, Texting, North Wind, Thegreatestshowman and The Duke Of Firenze, the one who is my top rated is YIMOU 16/1 (EW) who, at this distance is usually staying on strongly at the finish and the fast early pace I expect to see in this race could play to its strengths a negative is the poor trainer's record 0-23 at this course and the jockeys 1-20 although it was this jockey who rode it to victory 2 runs ago so has to be I will be backing and at the price it has to be an each-way punt.

7:00 Windsor Racing Tips (20th July)

WINDSOR 7.00

DASCHAS will be trying to stay on strongly at the business end of this race and could possibly make the frame with a clear run.

YIMOU another that will be staying on strongly at the finish and drawn next to the most likely leader it could get a good tow into the race.

A SUREWELCOME would probably try to lead but at this trip, he may not be quite quickly enough away to get to the front here but could be staying on towards the finish.

FLIPPA THE STRIPPA is a 3yo and has been running in better class races but timewise it needs to improve quite a few pounds.

TROPICS is my 2nd top-rated using just 2020 speed figures but at 12 years of age, I cannot see it improving enough to win here. 

GLAMOROUS ANNA is a 3yo who could still improve in time but would need to do so to win this race.

FREE LOVE is my 2nd top-rated looking at its best 2019 speed figure and also 2nd top on this year's times so could make the frame.

GRANDFATHER TOM has a time from 2019 that would make it my 4th top-rated it likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish but maybe too late here to win.

BOOM THE GROOM isn't as good as he used to be and its best form came over 6 furlongs so it may struggle in this race.

SUMMARY: I will look to lay (A Surewelcome 6/1) there are others I'm fairly sure won't be winning this race but not enough to put them up as lays, the 3yo Glamorous Anna could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead, Free Love could do enough to make the frame but my money will be riding on YIMOU 4/1 who I'm hoping will stay on the strongest of them all.
