7:20 Lingfield Racing Tips (26th April)

LINGFIELD 7.20

A class 5 sprint with 11 runners and 4 known front running types, Cool Lightning 5/2 has been in good form winning 2 of its last 3 races but they have all been in relatively slow run races so might be worth taking on with a lay bet in this race and the same could be applied to Bobby On The Beat 13/2. Gold Medal 5/1 is my joint 4th top rated and is one of the possible pacesetters in this race and won last time out so is in tip top form so could do enough to be placed in this race but I doubt it will be an each way price, Lilkian 6/1 is my 3rd top rated and can be held up or run in midfield before trying to stay on at the finish and another that could make the frame. Swiss Pride is a front running type but stall 11 isn't ideal but if it can get to the front without exerting too much energy it could attempt to lead all the way, my 2nd top rated is Alaifdhal who is top rated using a rating recorded on the Tapeta surface at Southwell last year but its best rating on the Polytrack surface wouldn't be good enough to win here so I'm not really sure which way to turn but I think I will take a risk and back SWISS PRIDE 8/1 who becomes my top rated when taking into account the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim so looks to be the value call in the race and hope its good enough to get away smartly from its high draw and either lead all the way or at least race close to the front and then prove the stronger nearing the finish.

LINGFIELD 7.55

A class 6 dash with 10 runners and once again there are 4 known front running types amongst them, I will look to lay Reversion 13/2 who has finished 4th in all 3 of its most recent races but on recent form its held by Therehegoes 9/1 but even this one isn't in my top 4 ratings so they might both struggle to land a blow in this race. Sparked 7/2 won over today's course and distance last year but it was a comparatively slow run race that day which might have flattered it, it did finish 2nd last time out in a time just 1lb lower than its previous best. Toplight usually races in midfield or is held up and comes out 4th best on my figures, Autumn Flight my 3rd top rated and Mews House my 2nd top rated are both front running types so it should be a fast and furious early pace and might set the race up for something coming from off the pace and STORM MELODY 6/1 usually likes to track the leaders and then hope they fade while it stays on resolutely at the finish and the jockey has a decent 19% win ratio on the stables older horses.

7:00 Kempton Racing Tips (19th April)

KEMPTON 7.00

Nine runners for this class 5 sprint where I can see 2 known front running types, firstly I will be looking to lay Redredrobin who races as though a longer distance would show it to its best and will be staying on at the finish but most likely too late for the victory. The top weight Lilkian is my 4th top rated and usually likes to track the leaders, Winnetka (now a non-runner) who is my 3rd top rated is also one of the likely pacesetters in this race and might be worth a covering bet on it just in case it leads all the way, I've actually got joint top rated horses and the first one Bethersden Boy recorded its best rating on the Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton and its best Polytrack rating would see it struggling in this race. My main bet will be on the other probable pacesetter in the shape of SWISS PRIDE 8/1 and if this one gets to the front it could prove hard to catch and I do like the jockey booking although it will be his 1st ride for this stable.

Swiss Pride 8/1 3rd -1pt

Total -1pt

KEMPTON 8.00

A field of 12 for this class 6 sprint where I can only see Della Mare marked down as a front running type and normally that would see me giving it every chance but its best form has come on the Tapeta surface and its best on Polytrack recorded over this course and distance would see it getting caught and finishing out of the frame if the others run to their best as its only 5th top on Polytrack ratings and the betting will decide whether I lay this one or not, another one I will be laying if its of value to do so is Dulcet Spirit (now a non-runner) who races as though it needs further before it can show its true worth. I've got joint 3rd top rated horses in My Opinion and Woe Betide (now a non-runner) the former being a hold up type while the latter likes to track the leaders so both will be trying to stay on at the finish, Nubough 7/2 is my 2nd top rated and this is another hold up type so will need some luck to get a clear path when trying to stay on nearing the finish but my money will be riding on GHERKIN 9/1 who can race in midfield or track the leaders, the trainer has an overall strike-rate of 10% but with just the stables older horses it rises to 18%, the jockey also has an overall 10% win ratio for the stable but it jumps up to 33% when riding the stables older horses so lets hope he can add to his tally in this race.

12:50 Lingfield Racing Tips (13th December)

LINGFIELD 12.50

A field of 12 for this class 5 sprint but there is only one true front running type in the race so the whole race could be based on how SWISS PRIDE 16/1 (EW) runs here, its not got the ideal draw out widest of all in stall 12 but if nothing else wants to battle for the lead it could get across to the rails and then take command of the race and then prove too hard to catch and at the price has to be worth an each way punt. I think the three year old Justcallmepete 10/3 might need further to show its best form so I will look to lay it if its value to do so, Show Me A Sunset 10/1 can find the distance too far with a good early gallop and another to lay if its a single figure price near the off, Random Rocks 12/1 may be outclassed here and another possible lay again if a single figure price near the off. Lilkian has good trainer stats and comes out in 2nd top spot but could possible get squeezed out in the early stages, Seneca Chief 16/1 from stall 2 will I suspect try and gain control of the rails and could make the frame.

KEMPTON 6.30

Only 7 runners for this class sprints with just one known front running type in the race. Sarah's Verse 8/1 might be better on the Tapeta surface, Makinitup might need a longer distance, Alacazan 7/2 might be outclassed at this level while Trusty Rusty 7/1 might find the distance a bit too far for especially if there's a fast early gallop, Ratting 6/1 is another that might better on the Tapeta surface. Which leaves me with Starsong 9/2 who has never run on this surface before and would be dangerous if able to reproduce its Newcastle Tapeta rating but as usual I will stick with proven and rely on ALGHEED 4/1 leading from start to finish and jockey is 1-3 for the stable so hopefully they are expecting it to get back to winning ways here.

Tuesday's Racing Tips (20th September)

LINGFIELD 2.45

A field of 12 with 3 front runners amongst them, the betting will decide whether there's any lays or not in this race but I am hoping that Michael's Choice will be of value to lay because this front running type wont get its own way in front and time wise it needs to improve to win this race so I doubt it can hold on even if it does lead, the 3yo Kodias Sangarius is my 4th top rated but did record its best rating this year over today's course and distance, Peggoty another 3yo could make the frame being my 3rd top rated, SWISS PRIDE 8/1 is my 2nd top rated and the one that could go well here and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and in the make-up of this race stall 12 might not be too bad and will be carrying some of my money but i do have YIMOU 7/1 rated higher who hasn't won from 8 previous runs on an artificial surface but in the last 2 weeks the stable has had 3 winners from just 5 runners and I will be backing both of them.

BEVERLEY 3.27

Just 7 runners for this class 2 conditions race with 3 of them being known to lead before, apart from Sophie's Star who hasn't shown much the other 6 all have pieces of form that would give them a chance in this race, Bedford Flyer is my 3rd top rated and could do best of those coming from off the pace as my top rated pair both like race to the fore, King Of Stars sits in 2nd top spot and could gain control of the rails from stall 3 but JUDICIAL 4/1 is my top rated and a repeat of the rating it recorded at Ascot would see it winning this race and the jockey has a decent 19% win ratio for the stable.

A class 6 race with 10 runners and just one known front running type, Saxon Village 10/3 is making its handicap debut but races as though a longer distance would be better for it and it might be worth taking the risk and laying it, Shawwaaq another 3yo is my 4th top rated and usually races in midfield during its races, Stake Acclaim comes out in 3rd top spot but hasn't been in good form lately especially its 3 runs this year, Hey Ho Lets Go comes out 2nd best on my figures and is a course and distance winner which is a positive but then so is my top rated HOWZAK 11/1 who is also the one that I think will set the pace to the race and this is a drop in class from some races its competed in lately and time wise it would win cosily if able to reproduce the rating it recorded here in 2021.

2:00 Lingfield Racing Tips (13th June)

LINGFIELD 2.00

I love the AW races mainly because the stupid racecourses keep watering the grass at the earliest opportunity and good to firm is hardly ever the going, only 6 runners here but there is 2 known front runners, I think that Ford Madox Brown 9/1 might need further to show its best and i will look to lay it if its a single figure price, the 3yo Baileys Accolade may do best of those coming from off the pace and being a youngster it could still have some improvement to come and it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it won the race but I will stick with SWISS PRIDE 3/1 who is my top rated and one of the front running types so I'm hoping it can lead all the way for victory.

CARLISLE 2.45

There's eleven runners in this race with just Kolossos known as a front running type but it would need to improve time wise to win this race but could if allowed an easy lead it could do enough to make the frame but I doubt it could win the race but I doubt it will be of value to lay but I could look to lay Stone Circle 9/2 who might need further on good to firm ground to show its best form, Muatadel 7/1 who also doesn't seem to like good to firm ground and might struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace, and Canaria Prince 9/2 who is still a maiden after 7 runs and might be better when racing over a shorter distance, Sharrabang 20/1 is my 2nd top rated horse and could go well if it springs back to form but it hasn't shown much lately so I will be backing SINGE ANGLAIS 16/1 (EW) who becomes my top rating with the jockeys 7lb claim and they have a 2-9 win ratio for the stable on their older horses and also has good 27% trainer stats it is also dropped in class to run to run in this race and at such a big price it has to be given as an each way punt.

NOTTINGHAM 6.20

A ten runner race where the early pace could be set by Rhythm and it might be able to do enough from the front to make the frame as its fairly close between my sixth and 2nd top rated horses, looking for something to lay I have got 2 that I hope will be single figure prices, Temple Bruer might need further to show its best, Snow Berry who may be outclassed at this level, then there's Grandfather Tom who hasn't shown much time wise since 2020 even when it was third last time out but if finding that 2020 form again it could win this race but I wouldn't want to bank on it to win but I'm not sure I could lay it either as for the winner my money will be riding on VAN GERWEN 7/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish but admittedly it has poor trainer stats but if able to repeat its best time recorded earlier this year at Ripon it would win a shade cosily.

WINDSOR 6.40

I haven't got a lot of data to work with for some of the entrants of this race so this is going to be a bit of a punt as I was going to leave the race alone until I saw the rating of BEYOND EQUAL 13/2 who likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish, the trainer has a 22% win ratio at this course and the jockey has had two rides and one winner when riding for the stable so it looks like connections are expecting a big run here so it might be worth a small wager.

3:04 Catterick Racing Tips (28th May)

CATTERICK 3.04

A pity but there is only 7 runners and none known as front running types, yes something has got to lead but at what sort of pace, if its a slow early gallop and becomes a 2 furlong dash then anything could win the race or more that one decides to change its usual racing tactics and there's a very fast early pace which will happen here I've no idea, if there's a decent early pace then i think any one of 3 could win the race, Rebel At Dawn is my top rated on just 2022 speed figures but that is only good enough for 3rd top spot on my overall figures I have joint top rated horses in this race Leodis Dream and SOUL SEEKER 12/1 the former hasn't been in good form recently but did record a fast time at Windsor last year, the latter is being ridden by a 7lb claiming apprentice and if worth their claim it will tilt things in its favour and might be the value call in the race.

CHELMSFORD 4.10

Looking at the early tissue prices Aramis Grey 9/2 is forecast to be the 9/4 favourite but I think it might be outclassed at this level and represents poor value, the top weight Tiger Crusade 5/1 won at Kempton but it was a relatively slow time and may need further so maybe another one to lay if of value to do so, I expect If You Dare to be the one to set the pace and Aramis Grey and Revolutionise will make sure its kept up to its work and the latter comes out 3rd top on my figures so could do enough to make the frame but that time was recorded back in 2019 so I'm not sure if its still capable of reproducing that rating, i will be hoping that the hold up type FULL AUTHORITY 6/1 can find a clear run when it starts to run on from the rear of the field.

CATTERICK 5.24

I would expect the pace to be set by Redrosezorro 5/1 and it could do enough to make the frame but I doubt it can win the race but never say never one I will look to lay is Stalingrad 6/1 who might find the distance a bit too far for it and it looks a weak finishing type until its dropped into a lower class race, there is 3 others that would set the pace if nothing else wants to and are allowed to set their own slower early pace, The Armed Man is my 3rd top rated and one of those possible pacesetters so it could feasibly make the frame, Good Earth 10/1 and Drish Hero 20/1 might struggle to stay the distance so will be lays if they are single figure prices at the off any others which i think will struggle are all forecast to be double figure prices, Sfumato is my 2nd top rated using a course and distance speed figure recorded last year but I will be investing on LADY NECTAR 16/1 (EW) who is usually held up for a late run and a repeat of its best speed figure from 2021 at Thirsk would see it back to winning ways but at the price it has to be given as an each way punt.

Ten runners with just Michael's Choice being known to front run and is my 4th top rated so could possibly do enough to make the frame but I doubt it can win this race, I will look to lay Strike 11/4 who might need further to be fully effective and the trainer is 1-61 at this course and the horse is still a maiden after 7 runs, if SWISS PRIDE 14/1 (EW) can reproduce its best rating from Goodwood last year it would win this race a shade cosily but it is 0-14 on grass but has made the frame in 5 of those races it has won on the AW before so it can win races and the jockey has won 3-9 on the AW tracks for this stable but has only ridden once for them on grass so I cannot let it run at the price without an each way wager on it.

2:20 Lingfield Racing Tips (12th February)

LINGFIELD 2.20

SWISS PRIDE comes out 2nd top rated on my figures but the apprentices claim moves it to top spot and its dropped in class to run here plus its one of 2 known front running types in the race.

ALABLAQ is a holdup type but will need to improve time wise to pick up the leaders in this race but could run on into a place.

ABDUCTION hasn't been in the best of form in its recent runs and I expect it will be an outsider in this race.

PATSY FAGAN 13/2 usually races in midfield and then stays on strongly nearing the finish but will need to improve to actually win this race and might be worth laying.

CHERISH 9/1 can be held up or track the leaders but time wise its got a good few spots to make up to be winning this race so maybe a possible lay.

IGOTATEXT is the other known front running type and has the stall 1 draw so could gain control of the rails but I'm not sure it could lead all the way if it did lead.

COME ON GIRL is reliable to repeat its best ratings but its just outside my top four on my speed figures but could make the frame if others falter.

SOYOUNIQUE 7/1 hasn't any form over this distance on this surface and hasn't any recorded rating maybe because it needs further to show its best so maybe worth laying.

DEPUTISE 3/1 can be held up or track the leaders but isn't in my top four ratings and would need some good fortune to make the frame and looks poor value at the price.

PABLE DEL PUEBLO is capable of a good speed figure and comes out 3rd best on my figures but its done its best stuff at a one level lower class than today's race.

HEY HO LETS GO does repeat its best figures fairly consistently but that level isn't enough to win this race if others repeat their best.

CLASHANISKA comes out second best on my speed figures but again its best ratings were recorded at one level lower class.

SUMMARY: Pablo Del Pueblo and Clashaniska can record good speed figures in lower class races but could go well but maybe a place at best, there's a few I have said could be possible lays and the betting will decide which ones so look above and see the ones I have put prices against, as for the winner I will be relying on the top weight SWISS PRIDE 12/1 (EW) who has been running in class 4 races and drops to class 5 here plus it comes out top on my own unique speed figure ratings and I am hoping it can lead all the way in this race and as a bit of insurance I can go with an each way bet at the price.

LORD RIDDIFORD a front running type who may need this run for fitness but does come out 3rd top rated using a 2020 course and distance speed figure.

ONE NIGHT STAND races as though further would suit it better but this race might be run to suit it but I'm doubtful it can pick up all of the front runners.

CAROLINE DALE is my 2nd top rated on recent course and distance times and could do best of the front runners as long as they go off too quickly in the early stages.

EXISTENT this might not be its favourite surface and may be better when racing over a longer distance so one to perhaps lay.

CORINTHIA KNIGHT front running type number 3 in this race but hasn't been in good form lately and hasn't shown much time wise since 2019.

NIGHT ON EARTH usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly nearing the finish and comes out top rated on my figures.

NO SPEED LIMIT a possible front runner who has only run once in England but its run at Southwell was on the poor side time wise so its another one I will look to lay.

SUMMARY: With 4 front running types it should be a true run race, there's 7 runners but I have negatives against Existent 2/1 who looks poor value, One Night Stand 6/1 who might need further and No Speed Limit 7/1 and will look to lay them if of value to do so, as for the winner I will be backing CAROLINE DALE 10/3 in the hope that this is the one that might be able to lead all the way as its my 2nd top rated but I do have NIGHT ON EARTH 11/1 rated higher and will be trying to stay on at the finish and I will back them both to cover the angles but I might split my stake 60-40 in favour of my top rated.

2:30 Lingfield Racing Tips (26th January)

LINGFIELD 2.30

An eleven runner race with two known front runners and neither Maahle Ve 12/1 or Mr Moneypenny 25/1 can be written off as potential winners, the former could be better than its shown so far as this is its first run over this distance and has faded over a furlong further so this drop in distance could suit while the latter is 3rd top on my figures and only 2lbs below my top rated horse, Million Reasons 4/1 is another that's faded over 7 furlongs and dropped back to six furlongs here and could dangerous, my 2nd top rated horse is Knockabout Queen 5/1 who is usually held up for a late run and could run on and make the frame but isn't what I would call an each way price but you wouldn't lose money if it made the frame, my money will be riding on BUNGLEDUPINBLUE 7/2 who looks to be coming into form being 4th and then 3rd on its last 2 runs and usually races in midfield before staying the stronger nearing the finish and as its housed in stall 10 sandwiched between the two front running types it could get a good tow into the race and gain a good early position from which to attack late on.

LINGFIELD 4.00

Only six runners with half of them being known to lead and its such a complex race I will be backing one front runner and one that will be trying to come from off the pace, Bowling Russian 18/1 may need this run for fitness and one to lay if a single figure price, I think that SWISS PRIDE 11/1 could set the pace to the race and could be hard to catch as it is my 2nd top rated using a c/d figure it recorded in 2021 and the trainers in form with 3 wins from 10 runners in the last two weeks, the one coming from off the pace that is my top rated is EL HOMBRE 5/1 who recorded its best time in 2020 but did record a competitive figure in 2021, so two bets to cover the angles.

There's four known front runners amongst the nine runners in this race but I think they will set the race up for something coming from off the pace, I think the top four in the handicap have questions to answer and may struggle to get involved in the finish as all of them would need to improve time wise to win this race, I expect that Notoriously Risky, Lua De Mel and Mahale to battle for the lead being my fourth to second top rated but if COME ON GIRL 6/5 can reproduce its best speed figure which it recorded at Lingfield it would be winning a shade cosily but I think it might be a shortish priced favourite.

WOLVERHAMPTON 1.25

Plenty of early paced types in this race and Savalas could go well from the front if able to reproduce its best time from 2020 but it was well below that level in 2021, VICTORY ROSE 14/1 hasn't run over this c/d since 2020 but its best figure from that year would give it every chance here being my 2nd top rated horse so worth a small each way bet, my top rated is *STRONG POWER 9/4 who won on Monday where it won very cosily in a fast run race, that was a class 6 race and it is up to class 5 here but the way it won suggests it should take this upgrade in its stride but just as a precaution, as sometimes they don't run well next time out if raced too quickly after their victory, I will be backing both of them but my stakes will be kept low.

In this race I will be looking to lay both Blazing Hot 5/2 and Tomshalfbrother 11/2 who finished 2nd and 3rd last time out behind Sir Hector who I tipped up that day at 25/1 as they are both weighted to finish behind that same horse again here and I will be backing SIR HECTOR 9/2 again in this race as it is weighted to beat them again here but i do have a horse.

COUNTRY CHARM 14/1 rated 4lbs higher but that is using a Newcastle time but it has had one previous run over this c/d which resulted in it not recording a rating but it might be worth an each way punt at the price and I will be backing both of them to small stakes.

This 2nd division is definitely the poor relation of this race, I expect Cometh The Man to set the pace to the race from the stall 1 draw and in such a poor race it could do enough to at least make the frame but is better over a shorter trip and if tackled for the lead might falter inside the final furlong, others that have bits of form but also with a negative are, Martineo who has been in poor form lately and may need this run for fitness plus a 0-26 jockey stat, Pable Del Pueblo who isn't proven on this surface and Iesha who has poor form over this c/d, one I will look to lay is Royal Heart 13/2 who didn't register on my figures when finishing 3rd over this c/d and its best speed figure from Lingfield isn't good enough to win this race, I will be having a small wager, and I mean a small wager, on ADMIRABLE LAD 11/1 (EW) who likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish so might be worth an each way wager.

I will not make any bones about it but this race is dire even for a class 6 affair, I can see 2 and possibly 3 horses that could set the pace, Kingsley Klarion is the possibly as it can lead but only usually does so when nothing else wants to and I doubt that will happen here but hasn't shown much recently time wise, there is a few others that have not shown much time wise recently, Katelli would have a chance if able to reproduce its Tapeta time on this surface but is still a maiden on the AW after 12 runs, Knockout Blow could go well but can struggle to stay the trip with a fast early pace which i think might happen here plus the jockey is 0-12 for the stable, Englishman has a trainer record of 0-11 at this course and the jockey is also 0-11 for the stable, Perfect Symphony has a time from Chelmsford last year that would make it my top rated but the trainers win record of 1-38 and the jockeys 0-13 makes me think they have another race in mind but it has won over this c/d from 8 attempts, Thaki has no surface form to its name but has slow times over this distance at both Wolverhampton and Newcastle and would need to improve for the surface switch to win this race, Blue Cable has run twice over this distance on this surface but time wise produced nothing that registered on my figures and its best time which comes from Wolverhampton isn't good enough to make my top 4 ratings, I will be siding with THREE CARD TRICK 16/1 (EW) who hasn't run here before but what caught my attention was the apprentice jockeys win record for the stable having 31% on all the stables runners and 33% on the older horses, it does have a decent time Newcastle and an even better time from Chelmsford which would make it competitive and at the price i have to give it as an each way wager.

LINGFIELD 2.30

Only 6 runners and to be honest on all known form it looks a one horse race because if SWISS PRIDE 6/5 reproduces its best speed figure it would win a shade cosily but I am quite sure it will be the hot favourite and might even be an odds on shot, it has won 5 and placed in 4 from its 11 c/d runs, I would look to see if there's any value in doing the forecast and only the bottomweight Evasive Power wouldn't be on my list as the 2nd placed horse, May Remain races prominently and could hassle the selection for the early lead and could do enough to hold on for 2nd place as long as it doesn't push too hard to stay with favourite, Apollinaire is my 2nd top rated but that time was recorded at Wolverhampton and hasn't run over this distance on this surface, Last Page and Cappananty Con are only separated by 1lb but the former's time comes from 2020 whilst the latter did record its best time this year but it looks likely to be the 2nd favourite so maybe not any value in doing the forecast, I will back the selection if its not odds on but would leave it alone if it wasn't of value.

3:25 Catterick Racing Tips (21st April)

CATTERICK 3.25

A 9 runner race where Signore Piccolo could lead if nothing else wanted to but this distance can be too far for it so it would try to set a slowish pace but I think Aleef will be the one to make sure there is a good early pace but this one wouldn't want the going to be too fast, Tukhoom a hold up type is my 4th top rated, Zumurud sits in 3rd spot and it likes to track the leaders, I've got 1lb between my top 2 ratings so will be back both MEDICINE JACK 7/2 in 2nd top spot and ROUND THE ISLAND 4/1 who is in top spot.

Round The Island 11/2 2nd -1pt
Medicine Jack 7/2 3rd -1pt

CATTERICK 5.05

This isn't a great apprentice jockeys race, I can see 3 who might set the pace so it should be a true run affair, I had to go back to 2019 for Red Stripes best turf time but hasn't shown much in its latest runs, if HARROGATE 2/1 sets the pace and can repeat its best time from last year it could lead all the way but its run this year was way below that level when it finished 2nd but beaten 4 lengths in a relatively slow run race, I have BOUDICA BAY 4/1 just 1lb below top spot and the trainer has a good record at this course with a 25% win ratio, so I will be backing both of them in this race.

LINGFIELD 6.40

There should be plenty of early pace to this race as all 3 known front runners are in my top four ratings, and times of that top four of the eight runners are a bit higher than the other half, Benefit Street a possible pacesetter comes out 4th top rated and could make the frame Inaam in 3rd top spot is the one that could do best of those coming from off the pace and could even possibly win if they cut each others throats vying for the lead, Alsvinder comes out 2nd best on my figures and is only 2lbs below SWISS PRIDE 5/2 who is my top rated and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch.

LINGFIELD 7.10

Only 7 runners here but there's 2 natural front runners and another that can front run if needs be, Super Julius a possible pacesetter is my 4th top rated, Saaheq comes out 3rd best and usually runs on at the finish so could be the one to prosper if they do go off too fast, Hey Ho Lets Go usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish and comes out 2nd best on my figures but I will be siding with BOOM THE GROOM 7/1 who is the one that's very versatile when it comes to racing tactics and compared to last year this is a drop in class and if on its “a” game the price is generous.

3:50 Lingfield Racing Tips (12th March)

LINGFIELD 3.50

Only 7 runners in this race luckily there is a couple for known front running types in the race which always helps with analysis, Harbour Storm is a possible pacesetter but I am not sure this surface suits it, Martineo should be staying on at the finish and comes out 4th best just 1lb below Sir Hector in 3rd top spot, another that usually stays on at the finish after being held up in the early stages of the race but I think the top weight horse SWISS PRIDE 6/4 will be the one to set the pace and as it comes out top rated on my figures which was recorded this year it should prove hard to catch and ought to be able to lead all the way in this race.

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.10 Div I

I am not really a fan of these low class stakes races but sometimes there is a gem in the field, there is couple of horses in this division who have pieces of form that are above the rest BUT there is quite a few lightly raced sorts in the race who could be capable of improving and on recent speed figures alone there isn't much to work with so any stakes will be kept low, Terri Rules 11/4 is a horse that likes to lead and if it could reproduce its best time from 2018 it could lead all the way and did run ok with a decent time over this distance at Kempton but is 0-5 over this c/d so maybe the value call is to side with MIRACLE GARDEN 10/3 who is top rated on recent c/d times, I will admit I thought it might be around the 6/1 price which was forecast on the tissue prices, in fact it recorded that time this year and has a time from 2019 that makes it top rated on overall figures and that's enough for me to side with it.

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.40 Div II

This actually looks the weaker division of the 2 with very little to work on so I just analysed the first few in the betting, Twice As Likely 4/1 may need further and it was a slow time when it finished 3rd last time it ran, Shymay 8/1 is 0-13 in all of its runs but has been placed 4 times, Al Verde and Cherish have poor recent form, Ancient Astronaut 5/1 finished 2nd last time out but may have been flattered as it was a slow run affair, Andre Amor 10/3 looks likely to be the favourite and did run well last time out when finishing 2nd but that was over 5 furlongs and I am not 100% sure it stays 6 furlongs in a true run race, looking at the tissue prices, (only a rough guide) the value call could be FANTASY JUSTIFIER 10/1 (EW) it has the fastest recent c/d time which was recorded in 2020 and has a faster times in both 2019 and 2018 and is forecast to be a double figure price and could be worth an each way punt.

2:20 Lingfield Racing Tips (30th January)

LINGFIELD 2.20

POWER OVER ME 11/8 has been in brilliant form lately winning all 3 runs this year but it has been raised in weight again and the run has to end somewhere and that might just be here and i expect it will be a short priced favourite so no value.

VANDAD 5/1 the jockey booking catches the eye with a 29% win ratio on the stables older horses, it been placed twice in its 3 previous c/d runs but hasn't won and would need to improve a little to win this race but could go well again without winning again.

SWISS PRIDE 9/2 won nicely last time out when beating two of today's rivals but it didn't get a clear run that day and if it had done so would have won a little cosily and from stall 1 it can either lead or track the leaders and has a good chance of following up here.

GLOBAL PROSPECTOR 11/1 hasn't any form over this distance on this surface and using its best time which came from Wolverhampton it would need to improve a few pounds to win this race.

CAPPANANTY CON 7/1 only just touched off last time out and it looks weighted to reverse form with Swiss Pride but the winner would have won more easily with a clear run plus its only won once from 6 previous c/d races so looks too short a price and maybe worth laying.

PADDY POWER 16/1 will be staying on at the finish but with 4 opponents that have been known to lead before it might not get there quickly enough to pick up the pacesetters but along with the bottom weight it could prosper if they go off too fast and fade/tire badly.

CHOCCO STAR 10/1 likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly but would need to improve a little if others run to their best but could go well if the leaders fade .

SUMMARY: The pace should be fast and furious with 4 of the 7 runners having been known to lead before, I will lay (Cappananty Con if it stays a single figure price) Power Over me is in cracking form and going for a four-timer but has the 5b penalty its got to carry here going to find it out, who knows but it has to happen at sometime or another and I am hoping that it might happen in this race, plus i expect it will be the favourite and not much value in backing it. SWISS PRIDE 9/2 won last time out over this c/d in the fastest time of the whole field, it can lead and with stall 1 it might just do that but it can also come from behind which it did in its last race and that day it got into some traffic problems before flashing by the leader virtually on the line and a repeat of that time will see it follow up here.

1:40 Lingfield Racing Tips (5th January)

LINGFIELD 1.40

A field of 9 in this sprint and a couple of horses that have been known to lead before, Miss Thoughtful has only slow times to its name on this surface despite winning both here and Kempton and I will look to lay it if of value, Our Oystercatcher has no course form but its best time from Chelmsford would leave it a bit short of winning this race so another to lay, Monsieur Patat hasn't made the frame in its 3 previous AW runs and looking at its turf form I'm not sure this surface will suit it so maybe a third lay in the race, Hey Ho Lets Go is my joint 2nd top rated and will be trying to stay on at the finish and could possibly make the frame, Sword Exceed is my other joint 2nd top rated and this one has been known to lead before but only when nothing else wants to which I don't think will happen here as SWISS PRIDE 7/1 is more of a natural front runner and if getting to the front it could prove hard to peg back.

LINGFIELD 3.10

For a class 6 race this, on paper, looks very very competitive with a problem that I hate and that is a lack of early pace, delve a little deeper and it uncovers the fact that most of the runners are not in the best of form with Passional 11/8 being the exception but its wins have been on different surfaces at Southwell and Wolverhampton but if it takes to this surface it could fulfill the hattrick, I think it will be a hot favourite and not my idea of a good bet especially with some unanswered questions so maybe this race is best leaf alone and I am certainly not putting it up as a selection at the price.

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.10

Another 9 runner race but with 3 known front runners in the field plus another that has led before, this surface might not be ideal for Alsvinder so one to consider laying, I expect Miaella to be at the fore in the betting but its time when winning over this c/d was in a slow run affair and maybe this isn't this ones ideal surface either, Chitra a possible pacesetter with the plum stall 1 draw is my top rated on just 2020 c/d times and could do enough at least to make the frame and maybe worth an each way bet, Shamshon is in good form at the moment but stall 8 might not be ideal in the make-up of this race, the pace may set the race up for one finishing fast and that's my selections favoured tactics so DRAKEFELL 8/1 could stay on strongly at the finish and get back to winning ways.

1:10 Lingfield Racing Tips & Lay Bets (1st February)

LINGFIELD 1.10

This is a decent class 4 affair with 9 entrants and 3 of them have been known to lead and it could be won from the front, I will look to lay (Count Otto - Zeyzoon - Mr Top Hat - Fuente) for various reasons but as usual only for the win part as any could make the frame all my work is based on wins not wins and places, Suzis Connoisseur my 2nd top-rated hasn't been in the best of form recently but has the champion jockey elect on board, who does have a decent record for this stable and could be the one to do best of those coming from off the pace if bouncing back to form, Barrington is a frontrunner coming out of stall 4 and is my 4th top rated, Reflektor who has good trainer/jockey stats is my 3rd top rated and in the make-up of this race stall 7 shouldnt be a problem, top of my pile is SWISS PRIDE 4/1 and being a frontrunning type stall 2 could see it gaining control of the rails and then prove very hard to catch.

LINGFIELD 1.45

A Listed race where its hard to untangle the form and speed lines, I am looking to lay 3 runners (Habub - Royal Birth - Tinto) a lot of these don't appear to be Listed class horses as most have done their best in top class handicaps, the topweight Good Effort looks a potential danger in this race and it does have decent trainers stats and good jockey stats and won in a fast time on an AW track in France but it is one that will have to prove it's up to this class of race, I can see the pace being set by Merhoob and Lady Dancelot, Habus might try to go with them, but I am hoping they will be setting the race up for *KACHY 2/5 who is proven at this level and has won before after a break from racing, it does have good trainer/jockey stats but the price is pathetic but I guess it reflects its chance of winning.

4:40 Kempton Racing Tips (30th October)

KEMPTON 4.40

SWISS PRIDE my top-rated on 2019 course and distance times and to move it even further clear is the apprentice jockeys claim.

MUJAASAM has a time from 2018 that would make it my top-rated but it needs to improve timewise on what it's done so far this year.

POUR LA VICTOIRE hasn't any c/d form to its name from this year but its old form from 2016 would put in the mix and has been in decent form on the turf recently.

STEELRIVER comes out 3rd best on my figures and I think its purple patch of form is on the decline as it gets in the grips of the handicapper.

FLOWING CLARETS is 0-16 on the AW tracks which is off-putting and I'm not sure this surface suits it and a longer trip could help.

PETTOCHSIDE hasn't shown much timewise since 2017 and it's another who I think doesn't really like this surface.

SWENDAB can lead but can struggle to stay this trip if there's a fast early pace but if allowed to dictate it can't be ignored.

SUMMARY: The only sprint of the day is a class 5 claiming affair that's a quite open race, Swendab is the only known frontrunning type but this ones a lot better at 5 furlongs so if pushed for the lead it could/should fade but could be dangerous if allowed to dictate a slow enough pace and then kick from the front, Steelriver had a very long losing run to its name and then hit a rich vein of form but looks on the decline again now, Mujaasam is top-rated using its best 2018 time but has not run here for quite a while, my pittance will be riding on the topweight SWISS PRIDE 2/1 a 3yo that could still improve and the apprentices 7lb claim could be enough to sway things in its favour but my stakes won't be at full strength.
