3:20 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (19th May)

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.20 

A class 4 race with 8 runners so I hope they all run so there's 3 places up for grabs with an each way bet, Rebel Redemption is capable of recording a good speed figure but usually in lower class races but it one of 3 known front runners so it should be a true run race and Recon Mission is another pace setter but its best time was recorded on the Polytrack surface, the top weight NATIONWIDE 4/5 looks the likely winner but I expect it will be a very short priced favourite.

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.50 Div I

In this race I would look to lay *Glamorous Force, Q Twenty Boy and Jumira Bridge if they are single figure prices as this distance might be too far for them with a good early gallop and I think Exchequer and or Freedom Flyer will set the pace to this race and the latter comes out in 3rd top spot using its best rating from 2021 and its best this year is only 5lbs below its best, The Nail Gunner has the plum stall 1 draw and usually likes to track the leaders so should be able to get a good early position on the rails just behind the leader/s and might be worth an each way interest, my money will be riding on RED ALERT 10/1 (EW) and at the price has to be an each way wager.

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.25 Div II 

This 2nd division only has Another Angel marked down as a front running type so could go well from the front especially if allowed a soft lead as its my 3rd top rated but can struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace but might be able to make the frame in this race, Starter For Ten and Bomb Squad both race as though further would suit them better and this race might not be run to suit their racing style, my idea of the winner is MARTINEO 11/4 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish.

There's not a lot I can say about this 6 runner class 5 dash, Mehmo may need further as might Storm Melody and could be worth laying but I am hoping that the only known front running type in the race, LETHAL BLAST 4/1, can get to the front and a reproduction of its best rating at Windsor last year would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

7:30 Southwell Racing Tips (3rd March)

SOUTHWELL 7.30 

HELVETIAN 25/1 usually races in midfield but its better speed figures have come on the Polytrack surface I doubt it will be of value to lay. 

BOBBY ON THE BEAT 10/1 this one will also need to improve time wise to win this race mainly due to it looking as though further would suit it better but again not perhaps of value to lay. 

DREAM GAME 11/1 has a slow time from its one run over this distance and maybe its a bit too far for it but maybe too risky to lay. 

IGOTATEXT 7/1 is one of two runners that has been known to lead before but its best form has come from the Polytrack surface and worth laying at the price. 

WATER OF LEITH 9/1 has a speed figure from 2020 at Wolverhampton that would see it make the frame but the jockeys 0-11 for the stable is a bit off-putting.

STONE CIRCLE 28/1 hasn't any form on this surface and its best from Chelmsford on the Polytrack surface needs improving upon to win this race but I expect a big outsider.

NUBOUGH 20/1 is another that has a Wolverhampton 2020 rating that would see it make the frame but its 60 days since the stable last had a winner and the trainer is 0-4 at this course.

STEELRIVER 28/1 has recorded a decent time over this course and distance this year but its best from Wolverhampton has been below whats required to win this race but knowing it does like this course it could go well. 

MARTINEO 18/1 (EW) is my top rated using 2021/22 course and distance speed figures and usually runs on strongly nearing the finish so worth an each way bet. 

THE COLA KID 8/1 hadn't any form over this distance on this surface until Monday when it won at Newcastle in either a slow run race or the surface was running very slow, and looks as though a longer distance might suit it better. 

INTERVENTION 1/1 or even money, I couldn't lay this one but it does need to improve time wise to win this race but it is the another that might set the pace to the race and it might have been slow going when it won at Wolverhampton.

SUMMARY: Maybe an each way bet on Steelriver might pay dividends because on a going day it could at least make the frame but it is also an inconsistent sort so I wouldn't want to rely on it, I will be laying Igotatext who looks better when racing on the Polytrack surface, both Water Of Leith and Nubough could run well here but my money will be riding on MARTINEO 18/1 (EW) who won on this surface at both Wolverhampton and Newcastle and either speed figure would be good enough and a reproduction of its 2019 Newcastle winning rating it would win a shade cosily so looks the value call in the race.

5:00 Chelmsford Racing Tips (17th February)

CHELMSFORD 5.00 

A class 6 apprentice jockeys race with 4 runners that have been known to lead before so it should be a true run race, I will look to lay Porfin 8/1 and *Portelet Bay 17/2 who usually stay on at the business end of their races but time wise I am not sure they can pick up the leaders, there is a few others that could be on my lay list but I think they will all be double figure prices so hence not of value to lay, its hard with these apprentice jockey races as usually there's nothing or very little stats to use to try and see whether it looks as though there connections will be trying or not, my stakes in these races are always kept lower than usual but I will be backing two horses in this race, firstly there's AMASOVA 5/1 who is my top rated using 2021/22 course and distance speed figures and is second top rated on my overall figures just behind AUTUMN TRAIL 16/1 (EW) and at the price this has to be an each way wager, they are both horses that like to race to the fore in their races and as long as they don't go heel for leather from the off and fade badly they have the ratings to hold the rest at bay to get back to winning ways.

CHELMSFORD 5.30 

The top three in the handicap are the natural front running types in this race and I Am A Dreamer 14/1 is rated slightly higher plus it has the stall one draw so it could go best of the trio and could even hold on to make the frame and might be worth an each way interest at the price and as I think it might even be better when racing over further its stamina shouldn't run out even if they do go off a shade too fast in the early stages of the race, Thaki 9/1 is forecast to be the second favourite in this race but I would be more interested in laying it as I think it needs further to show its best form but is double what the early tissue prices forecast .As for the winner I am looking at the John Butler stable as he has two horses entered in this race, INAAM 6/1 who finished second on its last run and MARTINEO 4/1 won last time out and either of them could win this race, they are both being ridden by apprentices but Martineo’s jockey is 0-4 for the stable while the jockey on Inaam has a poorish 6% win ratio for the stable which worries me a bit so my stakes wont be at full strength but whichever one is trying, it could be both, will need a bit of luck in running but this race being a class 5 affair wont take that much winning and I will be backing both of them because if I go with my gut and in some ways my stats and relied on just one of them I am sure to get it wrong so better something than nothing.

4:23 Lingfield Racing Tips (29th January)

LINGFIELD 4.23 

REBEL REDEMPTION 11/1 a known front runner has ran poorly in its 2 runs this year and would need to improve on its best c/d rating from last year.

IGOTATEXT 16/1 another front running type is dropped in class to run here but its best speed figure from last year wouldn't be good enough to win this race.

WATER OF LEITH 9/4 has a good rating from Wolverhampton but i think this surface isn't as good for it might be worth laying especially at such a short price. 

CAMACHESS 15/2 will be trying to stay on at the finish in this race but its 86 days when the stable last had a winner but could still make the frame but i might lay the win part. 

CAPLA SPIRIT 15/2 may find this trip too far for it and has poor trainer/jockey stats and 91 since the trainer last had a winner so maybe worth laying at the price.

CAPPANANTY CON 10/1 has poor trainer stats at this course and has been out of form lately but is versatile with its racing tactics. 

MARTINEO 7/2 will be running on strongly nearing the finish and is my top rated using a 2021 rating the jockeys 1-35 doesn't fill me with confidence.

INAAM 15/2 has a time from 2020 that would put it in the mix but its recent ratings have been well below that level and has been in poor form lately but has a good jockey stat.

BOBBY ON THE BEAT 14/1 has poorish trainer/jockey stats and has been out of form on recent runs and may be better racing over further. 

HEY HO LETS GO 40/1 has good jockey stats but the trainers last winner came 307 days ago and hasn't been in good form in its latest runs. 

SUMMARY: The only sprint of the day for me, which is poor for a Saturday with two AW meetings and to be honest this race is very competitive with a few having winning chances, I will look to lay Water Of Leith 9/4 who might not really like this surface and Capla Spirit 15/2 who may find the trip too far with a fast early pace, my money will be riding on *MARTINEO 7/2 who won last time out in a speed figure that makes it my top rated for this race and has been found an opportunity to follow up here but with jockeys dismal 1-35 strike-rate for the stable my stakes wont be at full strength.

6:30 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (3rd April)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.30 

Airshow is the only known front runner in the race but time wise it doesn't quite make my top 3 and its best form is over 5 furlongs, Grey Galleon 3rd best on recent, 2020/21 c/d times usually stays on at the business end of a race, Hurcle hasn't any surface form and may be better over a shorter trip, Save The Spirit hasn't any c/d form but has a good time from Newcastle but I'm put off by the jockeys 0-11 record for the stable, Jackstar comes out 2nd top on recent c/d times but that drops to 4th on overall figures, Tathmeen is my top rated on recent c/d times and has to have a very good chance here, Martineo hasn't any recent c/d times but has a good time from 2019 that would make it 2nd top on overall figures and has recorded a good time at Lingfield this year which shows its in decent form, Superiority has only had one c/d run which was in a slow time and looks better over shorter trips, Big Impact may need further to shine and hasn't shown much decent form lately. 

CONCLUSION: I will be backing two runners in this race, TATHMEEN 10/1 who is usually held up for a late run and is top rated on recent c/d times which is always a positive, MARTINEO 2/1 has shown at Lingfield its in good form this year which was within 1lb of its best time recorded here in 2019 and this one likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish.

2:20 Kempton Horse Racing Tips & Lay Bets (20th January)

KEMPTON 2.20 

GINGER FOX is my other joint 3rd top-rated on 2019/20 c/d times but may prefer further, it should be staying on at the finish but maybe too late to win and looks poor value at 3/1.

MOON TROUBLE is the only known frontrunner in the race and is top-rated on just 2019/20 c/d times and 2nd top overall.

MARTINEO is top-rated overall on a time from Newcastle which is a straight course and different surface but if taking to this course could go very well.

WILEY POST hasn't any c/d form and its best from Lingfield would see it just outside the places so looks plenty short enough at 9/1. 

SUZIS CONNOISSEUR 7/1 has a time from Lingfield that could see it make the frame and joint 3rd best on only 2019/20 c/d times.

FIGHTING TEMERAIRE hasn't any c/d form and may need further to show its best so I'm surprised it's a 13/2 shot. 

EXCELLENT GEORGE on a losing run of 13, hasn't been in form lately producing slow times another that looks plenty short enough, this time at 8/1. 

VENTURE is 2nd top on just 2019/20 c/d times but its best overall time is just outside my 3 so 9/2 looks poor value.

SPLIT DOWN SOUTH 15/2 won last time out but hasn't run here before but could make the frame if taking to this course.

ALFIE SOLOMONS on a losing run of 18 but hasn't run over this c/d before but would need to improve for the switch to win and not a 7/1 chance in my opinion.

OMRAN 50/1 has only slow times at this distance and maybe better over a shorter trip so not surprised its the rank outsider in the field. 

SUMMARY: Not a great race for a class 4 affair and nothing I can see to lay confidently in this race, there's a mishmash of times and form lines which make it hard to analyse with quite a few that could feasibly make the frame here but I will be backing 2 horses in this race, MOON TROUBLE12/1 is top-rated on 2019/20 c/d times and being the only frontrunner in the race stall 11 might not prevent it from leading this race and if doing so could prove hard to catch but *MARTINEO 7/1 does have a faster time from Newcastle so I have no idea if it will like this surface or course for that matter, I will probably tilt my stakes in favour of the proven horse and a smaller covering bet on the latter mentioned horse.
