3:30 Lingfield Racing Tips (25th March)

LINGFIELD 3.30

A field of 7 for this class 2 dash where 4 of the runners, Arecibo, Live In The Dream, Kiwano and The Defiant, have been known to lead before, Navello and The Defiant look to be outsiders in this race and the former may need this run for fitness while the latter may be outclassed at this level another I think might get outclassed is Badri 2/1 and this one might be of value to lay in this race. Arecibo usually stays on at this distance but maybe too late to win this race, Live In The Dream has only a slow time over this distance at both here on Tapeta and on the Polytrack surface at Wolverhampton, Kiwano was allowed an easy lead in a 3 horse race when beating TONE THE BARONE 10/3 but the pace that day was relatively slow which didn't suit it and this looks an ideal race to reverse that form especially on 3lb better terms.

LINGFIELD 5.15

This 10 runner class 5 sprint is very tight on my figures, Hit Mac 9/1 has only won over 5 furlongs so may not stay this distance here and its figure looks to have been recorded when towed along in a fast run race so may be flattering to its actual chances here, Porfin hasn't been in the best of form lately, Politics could be the one to set the pace to this race although Repartee has also been known to lead before so it should ensure there's a good early pace to the race. Beauzon is a hold up type but may stay on too late in this race to win it but could possibly make the frame. EPIC EXPRESS 10/1 is my top rated but only by 1lb it has good trainer and jockey stats both with a win ratio of 20% but if its a little rusty and needs this run for fitness after being off for 142 days so i will also be backing EL HOMBRE 7/1 who although being a 9yo is still capable of winning at this level and the change of jockey looks promising as he has a 21% win ratio on the stables older horses.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30

A turnout of 13 for this class 4 sprint where 7 of the runners have been known to lead before so it might be a furious early pace and according to my figures it is most likely that the winner will come from a front running type. Shalaa Asker 8/1 has been running well but seems to struggle when raised up to this level it might run ok but I would look to lay the win part with this horse and is the only one that might be of value to lay. Algheed is my 5th top rated and likes to front run while Tolstoy is my 4th top rated but that's using a Polytrack time at Chelmsford and hasn't run over this distance on this Tapeta surface before so not sure what to expect but I will stick with the proven, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in MUSCIKA 6/1 and ABERAMA GOLD 5/1 and both are capable of leading but they can also deploy other racing tactics which gives them more than one string to their bow while my top rated is INTERVENTION 8/1 who has been running quite well recently and if able to reproduce its Southwell rating here, which was a class 3 race but stall 13 isn't ideal for it in the make-up of this race or it might have been my sole bet if drawn better, it would win with a bit to spare so I will be backing all 3 of them to hopefully cover the angles but my stakes will be kept low because it looks a very competitive race.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.00

A class 6 sprint where the early pace may be set by Van Gerwen who is the only known front running type in this field of 10 horses but may need this run for fitness and time wise it would need to improve a few spots (that's assuming others will run to their best time wise) Rhubarb seems better over shorter while Lion Ring 4/1 might prefer further and both will be lays if of value to do so. Jackmeister is my 3rd top rated and will be trying to stay on at the end of this race but further might suit it better, Starjik sits in 2nd top spot and usually tracks the leaders while my top rated horse *MY BOY JACK 7/2 is a hold up type who finished strongly at this level and likes a relatively fast pace to aim at so this race ought to suit it perfectly.

1:56 Lingfield Racing Tips (4th March)

LINGFIELD 1.56

A class 2 dash with good prize money and there's only 3 runners, what a joke, think there was only 6 ever entered for the race maybe TONE THE BARONE 10/11 scared a lot of trainers as this horse ran well again last time out in a Listed race and now dropped down in class should get back to winning ways but I have a word of caution as there isn't any known front running type in the race and with small fields the racing can become very tactical, via my ratings it should win cosily but if its a relative trot and then a mad dash for home any of the trio could win and I expect the selection will be the hot favourite, it should win but I might leave the race alone especially if its odds on.

LINGFIELD 4.16

A field of 9 for this class 6 dash where I can only see one known front running type, if single figure prices I would lay Bungle Bay and Perfect Symphony who might need further to show their best form while both Ellie Piper and Battle Point do better when racing on the Tapeta surface. Master Sully will need to improve time wise to win this race, Top Exhibit hasn't been in good form recently but this is a drop in class compared so that could rejuvenate it but I couldn't back or lay this one, Storm Melody is my joint 2nd top rated on recent ratings and top rated using its best 2022 rating but you have to go back to 2021 to find this ones last win and as a 10 year old it could be on the decline and time wise has got towed along in fast run races and its ratings may have flattered it, FAIR AND SQUARE 4/1 is my other joint 2nd top rated on recent ratings and is the one I expect to set the pace to the race and if allowed an easy lead it could hold on for the win as its only rated 2lbs lower than TOPLIGHT 7/2 who can deploy most racing tactics apart from front running but will be trying to stay on strongly nearing the finish and I will back them both to cover the angles.

4:50 Lingfield Racing Tips (11th February)

LINGFIELD 4.50

A field of 12 for this class 6 sprint but the big problem is that there isn't any known front running types in the race but most of them have been known to track the leaders so I doubt it will be a slow early pace, well I'm hoping so as I've based my analysis on it being a true run affair, I can see a few who struggle to stay this distance but only Master Sully is forecast to be a single figure price and if it is that sort of price I will be laying it. Navy Drums may need further and I was thinking of laying it but as it hasn't any form over this distance on this Polytrack surface so not sure if I can lay this one. Big Time Maybe is my 3rd top rated so could be worth an each way interest if of value to do so, 2 horses that won last time out are my top rated and we know they are in good form, Real Estate is my 2nd top rated and has average trainer/jockey stats but I do have INAAM 5/2 rated just 1lb higher but this ones jockey has a 28% win ratio on this stables older horses.

Inaam 5/2 2nd -1pt

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00

Up to class 2 for this race but down to just 8 runners at least there is a couple of known front running types in Lord Riddiford and Bedford Flyer but both of this pair have better ratings at Southwell. Fernando Rah, Embour and Dubai Station run as though a longer distance will show them in better light but that's not to say they could run on and make the frame but I doubt they will win the race and maybe worth laying if a single figure price. Alligator Alley 5/2 should go well and I wouldn't put anyone off backing it but I will be putting my money on TONE THE BARONE 8/1 (EW) who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish and on artificial surfaces this horse has had 16 runs winning 8 of those races and was placed in another 4 races so would be a good each way bet if of value to do so.

2:39 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (18th December)

WOLVERHAMPTON 2.39

Only 7 runners for this class 2 race and 2 front running types in Bedford Flyer 5/1 and Lord Riddiford 7/1 who happen to be my 2 bottom rated horses so I doubt they can lead all the way, Venturous might need further to reproduce its best rating and even that wouldn't quite be good enough to win this race, Alligator Alley and Kaboo could run well being my 4th and 3rd top rated horses, I've only got 2lb’s between my top 2 ratings, TONE THE BARONE 7/2 likes to track the leaders and could get first run which could be enough to win the race, the trainer has a 17% win ratio at this course and the horse has won 8 of its 14 races on artificial surface but STRONG POWER 12/1 is rated higher this ones trainer also has a 17% win ratio at this course and the jockey has the same strike rate for the stable and this one is usually held up for a late run, so I will be backing them both as i think it could be close between these 2 on the run for the winning line.

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.09

A field of 11 for this class 5 sprint and the biggest problem is that I cannot see what will set the early pace, something will take it on but how fast the early pace will be I've no idea which means my stakes will have to be kept low. I'm not sure if I can find anything of value to lay so another problem and my stakes get even smaller, I've got Astro Jakk 8/1 and Inevitable Outcome 25/1 as my joint 3rd top rated horses, the former likes to track the leaders while the other is usually held for a late run and this race might not run to suit this one and both of them have been in poor form lately. The Thin Blue Line 10/3 sits in 2nd top spot but its another that's usually held up for a late run so once again this race might not be run to suit it. The 3 at the bottom of the handicap are horses that have been in decent form lately which cannot be said for the rest of the field so from those 3 my money will be riding on EL HOMBRE 8/1 who can either be held up for a late run or track the leaders which makes it look the safest choice in my opinion.

5:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (2nd December)

NEWCASTLE 5.45

A nine runner class two conditions five furlong dash where the early pace might well be set by Fine Wine 14/1 but time wise this one would need to improve a good few spots but never say never if allowed an easy lead. Art Power 9/4 is dropped in class to run in this race but its best form has come over 6 furlongs and if a short price might be worth the risk of taking it on with a lay bet, Logo Hunter 7/4 is also dropped in class here and won in a fast time on Polytrack but hasn't run on this Tapeta surface before so not 100% sure what to expect here but if taking to the surface if could go very well indeed and this pair are forecast to be the front two in the betting. The only other horse forecast to be a single figure price is TONE THE BARONE 10/1 (EW) who is my top rated and if fit enough to do itself justice after a break of 146 days looks at least the value call and it has won before when coming back from a break so I'm hoping it fires on all cylinders in this race and of course at the price it has to be an each way wager.

NEWCASTLE 6.15

A field of 13 for this sprint where both Count D’Orsay and Captains Bar have been known to lead if nothing else wanted to so I think the early pace will be set by Shallow Hal 9/2 but hasn't shown good form at this course since 2020, it won last time out at Chelmsford where it led but set a relatively slow pace but I don't think it will be allowed that luxury here so might be worth taking on if a short enough price, Pockley 7/1 ran well finishing 2nd 3 days ago and comes out 4th top rated in this race so could go well again here, Embour 4/1 who can be held up or track the leaders is my 3rd top rated but looks too short in the market, Ballyare 20/1 comes out in 2nd top spot but that's using a rating from 2021. My money will be riding on BELLAGIO MAN 5/1 who has been in the frame on all of its last 3 races winning one of them and has been found a good opportunity to add to its tally of wins in this race.

Bellagio Man 10/1 3rd -1pt

NEWCASTLE 6.45 Div I

A full house of 14 runners with the two at the top of the handicap having been known to lead before but I doubt either will prevail for the win. I will look to lay Al Suil Elle 5/1 who needs to improve time wise and might prefer a longer distance, Ischia is my 3rd top rated and usually likes to track the leaders and could make the frame and maybe an each way punt if a big price, at the bottom of the handicap is Kraken Power who is a hold up type and comes out 2nd top rated on my figures so could be another each way punt and I will also be taking a punt on DEPUTISE 7/1 (EW) who was a beaten favourite last time out and could remedy that here, it can be held up or track the leaders and its stall 12 draw is fine and the trainer has a 20% win ratio at this course but the stable hasn't been firing recently which is a little concerning but if an each way price all the better.
