1:55 Haydock Racing Tips & Lay Bets (11th August)

HAYDOCK 1.55

I can see 3 or possibly 4, Queen Of Kalahari, Galloway Hills, Redrosezorro and The Armed Man in this race that might try to set the pace and they may push each other a tad too much in the early exchanges and play into the hands of a hold-up type, Paddy Power has a time from Hamilton in 2019 that would see it make the frame but hasn't shown much so far this year, with the make-up of this race I think the connections have found a good opportunity for ICONIC KNIGHT 6/1 to follow up its win last time out and its best time from Windsor last year is good enough to win this race and the trainer has a good strike rate at this course.

Iconic Knight 6/1 6th (-1pt)

Total: (-1pt)

HAYDOCK 2.25

If the going is good to firm I will look to lay (Camachess + Dark Silver + Somewhere Secret) and I will have to ducth 3 runners in this race to cover the angles, firstly BASHIBA 33/1 is top-rated on 2019/20 times and has an even faster time from 2018 that would see it win cosily but it hasn't been in good form lately but it is capable of bouncing back to form without prior warning and the jockey does ok for this stable, secondly, PAVER'S PRIDE 4/1 who could set the pace in this race and is 2nd top-rated on 2020 times and only 2lbs off top spot so could go well from the front, thirdly BOUDICA BAY 14/1 is top-rated on just 2020 times so has to be on my list of the potential winner it's not a race to be wading in too heavily but dutching the 3 runners could prove profitable.

Paver's Pride 4/1 2nd (-1pt)
Bashiba 33/1 5th (-1pt)
Boudica Bay 16/1 7th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Somewhere Secret (-8.5pts) Betfair SP (11.64), Camachess +1pt, Dark Silver +1pt

Total: -9.5pts

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.10

What a race and not in a good way, yes something does have to win the race I have some ideas but also I have negatives against most of those with a recorded speed figure plus it wouldn't take much improvement from many of the horses to win this race. I will lay both (Qaaraat + Hard Solution) who both seem better over shorter distances, Watheer has a jockey record of 0-19, Maid Millie has a trainer record of 0-26 and a jockey record of 0-11, Sharrabang, who is one of 3 known frontrunners, has a trainer record of 1-78 and the jockey is0-11, Kinglami the jockey's record is 0-46, in fact, the jockey has never ridden a winner on the AW, I've got *FANTASY JUSTIFIER 25/1 as my 2nd top-rated using a 2019 time but if it can reproduce its best of 2018 it could win cosily and as it it is also the only one without negative trainer/jockey stats it has to be the one I will back.

Lay bets: Hard Solution +1pt

1:30 Doncaster Racing Tips & Lay Bets (29th June)

DONCASTER 1.30

A 9 runner race with a couple of known frontrunners, I will look to lay (Big Lachie) who may struggle to stay the trip with a fast early pace, Mutabaahy has a 0-18 trainer stat at this course which puts me off its chances, Archimedes is another with a poor trainer stat of 0-45 but I only look at win stats so they could still make the frame, MR WAGYU 4/1 is one of the frontrunners and if it is good to firm going it could prove hard to catch and if reproducing its best 2018 time it could well hold on but on just 2019/20 times it might get caught and my top rated is DOUBLE UP 7/2 a hold-up type who will be staying on strongly at the finish.

Double Up 11/2 5th (-1pt)
Mr Wagyu 4/1 6th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Big Lachie -5pts

Total: -7pts

DONCASTER 2.00

This class 3 race looks very competitive and I cannot find anything of value to put up as a lay, there are several that could make the frame if running to their best but I will be backing FLAVIUS TITUS 22/1 (EW) who at first glance hasn’t shown much in its two runs this year but its run at Newmarket was in a fast run race and a class higher than today so hopefully the drop in class will see it back to winning ways and at the price on offer I have to give it as an each-way punt.

Flavius Titus 22/1 9th (-2pts)

Total -2pts

MUSSELBURGH 2.45

Not a race to be betting in too heavily especially as there are no known frontrunners in the line-up, I would look to lay (Economic Crisis who looks better in lower class races and Amazing Grazing who may need further to show its best form and this might no be run to suit it) I wouldn’t put anyone off who fancies Desert Ace but its best time was back in 2017 and would need to reproduce that to win if my top-rated runs to its best, I will be backing BASHIBA 9/1 (EW) who will hopefully be a big enough price to back each way.

Bashiba 9/1 3rd* (-2pts)

Lay bets: Economic Crisis +1pt, Amazing Grace +1pt

Total 0pts

LEICESTER 5.15

This is a dire class 6 race and stakes should be kept low if the poor recent form was a guarantee of how bad they would run I could lay quite a few of these but I will be laying 3 runners (Alba Del Sole + Furni Factors + Storm Lightning) three runners ran against each other just 5 days ago, Tilsworth Rose led but faded into 4th, while Teepee Time finished 7th but its usual running style is from the front but missed the kick that day and could go better if leading here but I will be having a few pennies on MONARCH MAID 9/2 who finished 5th in that race but didn't get a clear run when it tried to make its effort and hopefully it can make amends here.

Monarch Maid 6/1 8th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Alba Del Sol -8.5pts, Furni Factors +1pt, Storm Lightning +1pt

Total -7.5pts

Total on the day: -18.5pts

5:55 Windsor Racing Tips & Lay Bets (24th June)

WINDSOR 5.55

If the going is good to firm I would lay (Something Lucky) the topweight Three Little Birds also doesn't want the going to be too fast, there is 2 known frontrunners in the race and one of them Our Oystercatcher is my 2nd top-rated so could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead and is only 1lb below the top-rated *BASHIBA 16/1 on 2019 times but this has an even better time from 2018 which would see it winning cosily and it has good trainer/jockey stats to make me think it will go well in this race and worth an each-way flutter.

*NR

Lay bets: Something Lucky +1pt

Total: +1pt

WINDSOR 6.55

If the going is on the fast side then both (Ghepardo and Firenze Rosa) might struggle to win and I will look to lay them, one of 2 known frontrunners and my 2nd top-rated is Haveoneyerself but this one usually needs a run after a layoff for fitness so I will be backing BIG TIME MAYBE 4/1 who is the other possible pacesetter and apprentice jockeys allowance makes it my top-rated but there is a few lightly raced sorts in the race so my stakes won't be at full strength.

Big Time Maybe 11/2 5th (-1pt)

Lay bets: Ghepardo +1pt, Firenze Rosa +1pt

Total: +1pt

4:25 Musselburgh Racing Tips (6th September)

MUSSELBURGH 4.25 (7.6)

Its a shame there's only 7 runners in this race as my top rated horse, BASHIBA 15/2 could well be an each-way price here, I have to admit its not shown its best form so far this year but its best runs have come on g/f ground so if suitable it would have a chance to get back to winning ways, if not back to form then Desert Ace my 4th top-rated, Super Julius who comes out 3rd best but could be the one to set the pace and Excessable would come into the reckoning but if a double-figure price I will be backing my top rated but my stakes won't be at full strength.

Bashiba 15/2 1st

MUSSELBURGH 6.30 (7.6)

If I just this year times I have a clear selection in ARCHIMEDES 7/1 who I tipped up when it won 2 runs ago and it had no chance of winning its last race but is definitely back in with a shout here and could easily lead all the way again here as there seems very little other early paced sorts but I do have Little Miss Lola with a slightly higher speed figure which it recorded at Hamilton in 2018 and the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim takes it further clear or it could be a burden and that would move it back down to 2nd top spot its only had 2 runs this year and has shown very little and the apprentice is 0-5 for the stable, I will monitor the betting with this one and if its fancied I could have a covering bet on it or maybe an each-way punt, just in case it bounces back to form.

Archimedes 7/1 1st

1:50 Sandown Racing Tips (31st August)

SANDOWN 1.50 (7.7)

There's only 2 known front runners in this field of 13 runners and it looks a good class 3 affair, the one I think might set the pace is Justanotherbottle who comes out 2nd best if using its best time from Nottingham last year but hasn't shown much so far this year, Only Spoofing and Jumira Bridge are my 3rd and 4th top-rated so could go well but the one that's going to be lumbered with my money is DASCHAS 10/1 who likes to track the leaders, so not badly drawn in stall 8 with the early pace in stalls 10 and 11, and then stay on the stronger at the finish and the trainer isn't averse to having winners here with a healthy 17% win rate with his older horses.

Dachas 10/1 6th

BEVERLEY 3.15 (7.0)

I'm doubting the going will be ok here so just a few notes about the 2 sprints, this looks a nice Listed dash with 4 of the 10 runners being known to lead, Judicial could lead and is my 3rd top-rated on its best 2018 time, the one that might prosper if they go off too fast is Queens Gift being my 2nd top-rated and its a hold up type but I'm hoping TIS MARVELLOUS 3/1 who won last time out can get to the lead here and then prove very hard to catch.

Tis Marvelous 3/1 5th

BEVERLEY 3..50  (7.0)

A big field of 15 with 4 runners that have been known to lead before, Shepherds Purse likes to track the leaders and then run on at the finish and it is my 3rd top-rated but a few spots behind the top 2 ratings, Archimedes won last time out on Sunday when it led all the way at 6/1 I tipped it that day and it has been found a reasonable chance of following up here but I'm not sure it will be able to lead all the way here and I do have one rated higher and that's BASHIBA 9/1 who is capable of leading but doesn't have to lead to win and its best time from 2018 at Ascot or its best from Haydock this year would see in back in the winners enclosure.

Bashiba 25/1 Unp
