4:42 Musselburgh Racing Tips (5th July)

MUSSELBURGH 4.42

5F Class 4 7-Runners I can see 3 known front running types in this dash so I expect it will be a fast and furious pace from the off, Venturous 8/1 and Rock Melody 7/2 might not like to encounter fast good to firm ground so might get outpaced here if the going is fast but the latter is a 4yo who won last time out and could be capable of improving further but would need to improve a good few spots to win this race. Glory Fighter and maybe Resilience will ensure there's a fast early pace but if COPPER KNIGHT 4/1 can get to the front and get the fractions right it could lead all the way for victory and will be carrying my money.

THIRSK 5.20

6F Class 3 8-Runners There's three 3yo’s in this race which can sometimes make analysis more difficult but maybe not in this case, I couldn't lay either of Danger Alert 7/2 or Zaman Jemil 8/1, (nor anything else to lay in this race), but I also couldn't back them as they have shown very little time wise and would need to improve to win this race but that's what 3yo’s can do, improve without warning. Ghathanfar 14/1 and Music Society 13/2 are capable of producing good ratings when in the mood and could make the frame if on song. My money will be riding on ROCK OF ENGLAND 11/2 who led all the way the time before last when winning at Hamilton and a repeat of that rating would see it winning with a bit too spare.

3:00 Musselburgh Racing Tips (15th May)

MUSSELBURGH 3.00

The only sprint of interest and then it depends whether the going is good as forecast because if there's any sign of cut in the going I wont be betting.

A field of 9 for this class 4 dash where I can see 2 front running types so it should be a true run race, I have a couple I will look to lay if they are single figure prices, Lady Lade hasn't been in good form so far this year and might prefer some cut in the ground, the same about the going also applies to Sheikh Maz Mahood, Riversway is my 4th top rated on overall figures but 2nd top on distance times in 2022 and 2023 and finished 3rd last time out to show it could be ready to win this race and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch, Eeh Bah Gum is my top rated on 2022 and 2023 ratings but this is its first run of the year and usually needs a run to gain fitness before going on to win later on so I wouldn't back this one but I'm not sure I could lay it unless its too short a price and represents good value to lay. Haveagomecca is my 3rd top rated on overall figures but I had to go back to 2021 to find that rating and its best from 2022 was way below that level but did win last time out so is in good form, the bottom weight Primo's Comet comes out 4th top on recent ratings, 2022/23, but 2nd top if using a time recorded over this course and distance in 2021 and this one doesn't seem to like fast good to firm ground so it should suit in this race. My money in this race will be riding on RIVERSWAY 11/2 who could possibly lead and then prove hard to catch as Eeh Bah Gum who also might be to the fore in the early stages of this race may need this run for race fitness and fade nearing the finish. I am going to post this race in the hope that the going is at least good but I would advise you not to back it until you know if the going is suitable and that will be after I've seen an earlier race.

2:30 Catterick Racing Tips (24th August)

CATTERICK 2.30

A nice looking class 4 race with 10 contestants and one known front running type, I would possibly look to lay both Vintage Clarets and Spring Is Sprung but as they are both 3yo’s I'm never 100% sure as they could still improve without warning, Dark Shot can struggle to stay the distance is there's a fast early pace, Oso Rapido, Embour, Muscika, Impeller and Birkenhead all have pieces of form that would see them compete to make the frame but this race might fall into the lap of JORDAN ELECTRICS 9/1 (EW) who is a confirmed front runner and if allowed an easy lead, which could happen here unless something else changes from their usual racing tactics, and a repeat of its Hamilton rating would see it get back to winning ways and might even be worth backing each way.

ABANDONED

MUSSELBURGH 2.50

A field of 9 runners with 3 that have been known to lead before, I will look to lay Koropick if its a single figure price as the trainer is 0-18 at this course and its last win was back in 2017, I might also lay the 3yo Primo who has only produced slow times over this distance, the 3 at the top pf the handicap are the known front running types but Abel Handy doesn't seem to want fast good to firm ground hence why its times are relatively slow, Canaria Prince is my 3rd top rated and could set the pace to the race so could be dangerous but I will be backing TANASOQ 13/2 who is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics and that does include leading and has a good positive jockey booking and if getting to the front then should prove more than hard to catch.

Tanasoq 13/2 3rd -1pt

CATTERICK 3.00

Twelve runners but only one natural front running type in Hot Scoop but I doubt it can lead all the way for the victory as it needs to improve a good few spots time wise so maybe one to lay as could Wades Magic be as it doesn't seem to like the fast good to firm surfaces, Point Of Woods can find the distance too far on good to firm ground so another lay if value to do so, Billian is capable of recording a good speed figure but usually on flatter courses and hasn't been in good form lately, Stronsay recorded a good speed figure at Hamilton last year but hasn't been anywhere near that standard so far this year and it also has poor trainer stats of 1-48 at this course, Ginato hasn't been in good form lately but its best from 2021 would see it be competitive here, others that are capable of going well are Portelet Bay and Freedom Flyer but neither have been in great form while the top weighted RAIN CAP 10/3 has been in tremendous form winning 3 of its last 4 races and its shrewd trainer has found it another good opportunity to add to its win tally.

LINGFIELD 3.40

A field of 12 for this class 6 race on the artificial Polytrack surface where I can see 3 runners, Viewfromthestars, Sir Rodneyredblood and Cool Spirit, who have been known to lead before and latter pair are course and distance winners and either could possibly do enough from the front to make the frame, Sir Sedric seems to either prefer a longer distance or the Tapeta surface so might be of value to lay, Real Estate has won its last 2 races and is going for the hattrick here and comes out in 2nd top spot on my figures so could possibly win this race but I will be backing the top weighted BIG BARD 14/1 who recorded a rating at Chelmsford last year which would be good enough to win this race and has what looks a significantly positive jockey booking who has a 21% win ratio on the stables older horses and at the price it has to be backed each way.

3:35 Goodwood Racing Tips (29th July)

GOODWOOD 3.35

A Group 2 dash over five furlongs, there are 3 known front runners but I think they will set the race up for a finishing type, I'm not sure if i can find anything of value to lay, Lazuli would be my 3rd top rated but I had to go back to 2020 to find that rating and Clarendone House is my 3rd top on more recent ratings and could do best of those racing near the front, I've got Khaadem in 2nd top spot and only just 1lb below RAASEL 4/1 in top spot and this one has been in very good form lately.

Raasel 4/1 2nd -1pt

SOUTHWELL 4.50

There looks to be 3 possible pacesetters in this race and of that trio *FREEDOM FLYER 8/1 might do best as it comes out as my 2nd top rated on just 2022 ratings so has to carry some of my money just in case it pinches the race from the front as it is rated only 2lbs below STEELRIVER 6/1 who comes out in top spot and this one also has the best speed figure from just this course since it changed its surface to Tapeta I think Sir Gregory 11/2 is a better prospect on the Polytrack surface and I will look to lay if its a single figure price, Oriental Spirit 9/2 would need to improve upon its best rating from Kempton but this will be its 1st run on this surface so it could possibly improve for the switch or maybe not so I couldn't back it at the price but I'm also not sure I could lay it either.

SOUTHWELL 6.30

There s 14 runners in this 5 furlong dash and only one front running type, Louis Treize 7/1 may need further to show its best and may be worth laying as long as it doesn't drift in price, the timelines are a little confusing between times on Tapeta at Newcastle and Wolverhampton compared to times here on the same surface, Scale Force 10/1 comes out in top spot on other Tapeta times so could go well here and might be worth an each way interest and it will be trying to stay on at the finish, I will be backing BERNARD SPEIRPOINT 13/2 who comes out in top spot using just times recorded here at Southwell and the trainer has a 19% win ratio at this course with their older horses and is the one that I think will set the pace to the race and i am hoping it can lead all the way to victory.

MUSSELBURGH 8.20

Of the 9 runners in this race I can only see Jojo Rabbit who has been known to lead before but time wise it would need to improve a good few spots but if allowed a very easy lead it could possibly pinch this race from the front, both The Thin Blue Line and Never Dark are capable of producing good speed figures but they may be outclassed at this level, Ready Freddie Go likes to track the leaders and could do enough here to make the frame, Only Spoofing is my 2nd top rated and another that likes to track the early pacemakers and is only 2lbs below my top rated horse SHOW ME SHOW ME 12/1 (EW) who can be held up or track the leaders and at the price might be worth an each way wager.

NEWMARKET 8.30

I cannot find a front running type in this field of 6 but 5 of them like to track the leaders so they could ensure there is a decently fast early gallop, Bossipop might need further to show its best so I'm not sure if this race will really suit it, Concierge is my 3rd top rated with Churchill Bay sitting in 2nd top spot but if LORDSBRIDGE BOY 5/1 can reproduce the speed figure it recorded at Salisbury in 2021 it would win this race with a few spots to spare.

4:00 Thirsk Racing Tips (29th June)

THIRSK 4.00

The early pace to this race could well be set by Rathbone 6/1 and it could do enough to make the frame if it can reproduce its best speed figure/rating it recorded in 2021, as for something to lay I will be relying on Pendleton 4/1 and this will probably be my main way of making a profit from this race as it doesn't seem to reproduce its best on good to firm ground, Total Commitment and Cairn Gorn could both go well and could possibly make the frame but as for the winner I will have my money riding on the 3yo MOJOMAKER 6/1 who likes to track the leaders and if reproducing the rating it recorded at Doncaster this year it would win this race a shade cosily but the stable hasn't been in good form recently which is a little off-putting so my stakes wont be at full strength.

MUSSELBURGH 4.20

Only 6 runners but 2 of them are known front runners, I'm not sure if there's anything I could lay with any confidence, as for the winner Primos Comet 13/2 has a rating from 2021 that would make it my top rated but its best rating so far this year has been well below that level, Militia 11/4 is a possible pacesetter here and could go well if reproducing its best rating recorded at Catterick last year but I will be siding with MODULAR MAGIC 4/1 who is the other front running type and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and the jockey booking (go look in the Racing Post to see how good the stats really are) looks a positive booking so hopefully connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways.

BATH 5.20

I can see 3 possible pacesetters in this race but think they will be setting the race up for something coming from off the front but Big Time Maybe 8/1 could do best of the trio and comes out 2nd best on my figures but isn't keen on really fast ground, I will look to lay But You Said 3/1 who hasn't had any form over this distance and may need further to show to show its best form and its still a maiden after 21 races with 13 of them being on grass, Darcy's Rock 8/1 hasn't shown much worthwhile form so far but as a 3yo it could improve and I would have laid it if under five to one, my money will be riding on WE’RE REUNITED 8/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish and the jockey booking does look a positive one.

3:21 Musselburgh Racing Tips (4th June)

MUSSELBURGH 3.21

There's now 14 runners in this race with 4 front running types amongst them and this race looks very likely to be won from the front, I cannot see anything of value to lay as I expect them all to be in double figure prices, I've got joint 3rd top rated horses in Ancient Times who is a possible pacesetter and Indian Sounds who could do best of those coming from off the pace, COPPER KNIGHT 12/1 (EW) in stall 15 is my 2nd top rated which it recorded earlier this year at Haydock but MODULAR MAGIC 10/1 (EW) in stall 2 comes out top rated but only by 2lbs and that was recorded over this course and distance but was recorded in 2021 and its one run so far this year was quite a bit below that level, so i have one drawn high and one drawn low so that covers that angle and at the prices I have to put it up as two each way wagers.

From the 13 runners in this race I will be looking to lay Sixcor who won last time out but maybe better over a longer distance but is my 3rd top rated, also Lord Of The Glen who may also prefer further and looks a better prospect when there is some cut in the ground,The Gloaming sits in 4th top spot on my figures and usually likes to track the leaders, the early pace could well be set by the top weight Eeh Bah Gum and it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead especially as it comes out in 2nd top spot on my ratings but if MOKAMAN can repeat its best rating Ripon last year it would win with a bit in hand and the trainer has a good strike rate at this course.

I hope all 8 runners take part and I can see a couple of known front runners in the field, Our Man In Havana and Monsieur Fantasie both race as though a further distance would suit them better but the former is my 2nd top rated who won last time out and could run into a place here if gaining a clear run when trying to stay on at the finish and could win if others falter while I could look to lay the latter as it would need to improve time wise, Fittleton Ferry comes out in 3rd top spot and will also be trying to stay on at the finish but I will be hoping that SHESADABBER 16/1 (EW) can get away smartly and then lead all the way for victory and at the price it has to be an each way punt.

3:45 Haydock Racing Tips (21st May)

HAYDOCK 3.45

A very nice looking class two race but to be honest it isn't the strongest of races when you delve a bit deeper, most of the field look outclassed and could struggle at this level but to be honest the race all centres around WINTER POWER 7/4 who looks the only true class horse in the race, it has won at Group 1 level this race should be well inside its capabilities and I quite expected it to be a lot shorter than it is, the only question mark against it is that it hasn't run for 230 days but has won before after coming back from a break. The jockey has a 15% win ratio on the stables older horses and it looks as though connections are expecting it to win at this lower class level for its first race of the year.

MUSSELBURGH 5.23

The Racing Post says the going here is good and good to firm in places which what I like to hear when looking to analyse a race, there's 9 runners but I've only 4 with ratings good enough to register on my figures, Stroxx, Earn Your Stripes, Loquacious Boy and Summer Heights have no ratings and have not been in good form but will be outsiders and not really value to lay, Lord Of The Glen 5/2 is 1-35 on turf and that was on good to soft ground so today's surface maybe against it and a longer trip might also help its cause so may be worth laying, Blackcurrant 9/2 hasn't even made the frame in any of its runs on turf and also has poor trainer, 0-4 and jockey 0-6 stats but it is my 2nd top rated so it could run ok but maybe the win will be beyond it, so maybe another to lay, both The Gloaming who is my 4th top rated and ran ok when finishing 3rd last time out and could make the frame again in this race, and Isle Of Dreams who comes out in 3rd top spot and they like to track the leaders and either could win the race, I have KOROPICK 9/1 (EW), and it looks the value call in this race, as my top rated using a time it recorded over this course and distance last year but the trainers record at this course is 0-14 which is off putting and its been a long time since the trainer last had a winner but at the price it might be worth a small each way interest.

2:40 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (9th May)

WOLVERHAMPTON 2.40

A class five race over the five furlong dash distance with 10 runners and four known front runners which is always helpful, I will look to lay Street Life 8/1 who may need this run for fitness and maybe better on the Polytrack surface and You're Cool 5/1 won last time out in a class 6 race and it does it best in lower class races, Qaaraat 10/3 finished 2nd last time out but that was in a class 6 selling race and another that may struggle now up in class, Secretfact, Grandfather Tom and Dark Side Prince have been known to lead before but I am hoping that RED WALLS 9/1 can get to the front and if doing so it could prove hard to catch and might be of value especially if an each way price.

CATTERICK 3.30

I can see 3 runners that have been known to lead before so it should be a true run race, I can see 4 runners that will be big prices but I'm not sure I can see anything that I can lay that will represent value, Stronsay has got a decent speed figure and it finished 2nd last time out so could be a danger but the trainer is 1-38 at this course and the jockey is 0-8 for the stable which is a bit off-putting, I will be having a small bet on USTATH 9/2 who is the one I think will set the pace to the race and if leading it could prove hard to catch.

This at first glance is a nice looking class 4 race, there's only 6 runners but worse than that there's no known pacesetters in the race, Alebegone 5/2 might be outclassed at this level as might the bottom weight Rory 13/2 who also hasn't been in good form lately, John Kirkup might prefer some cut in the ground to show its best, The Thin Blue Line 5/2 might prefer further to show its best so this race might not be run to suit it, Rose Bandit is my 2nd top rated so could go well but my money will be riding on PRIMO'S COMET 5/1 who doesn't want the going to be too fast so it should be ideal and the jockey has a decent record for the stable.

3:25 Musselburgh Racing Tips (28th April)

MUSSELBURGH 3.25

A poor turnout of just 6 runners and the problem of no known front running types in the race which always makes analysis very much harder, I think The Thin Blue Line 3/1 might prefer some cut in the ground and it might be too short for Bossipop 11/1 so I could look to lay both of them, Primo's Comet 6/1 can handle good going but isn't so keen on good to firm ground so another that I could lay if its fast ground, Cool Spirit and Good Luck Fox are in joint 2nd top spot but I will be relying on ATLYAH 9/4 who won last time out on an AW surface a word of warning is that it hasn't won from 6 tries on grass but a repeat of its best Ripon time from 2021 would see it winning with a bit in hand.

A nice race for a class 6 affair where I can see 2 or possibly 3 runners that have been known to lead before although I do think they will only be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace, I don't think its a race where you should be betting very heavily and maybe the lays are the way to make a profit from this race I've got Kodiak Attack 7/1 who needs to improve time wise may prefer the Tapeta surface compared to this Polytrack surface plus has poor jockey 0-3 and trainer 0-20 with its older horses stats, San Juan 4/1 seems better on the Tapeta surface but does have good jockey stats so it will be a small lay and Perfect Symphony 11/2 who might prefer further, who might all be of value to lay, I will be having a small bet on REAL ESTATE 7/1 who recorded its best rating over this course and distance which is always a bonus.

Not a bad looking class 5 race with one known front runner among the 10 runners, both Ruby Cottage 5/1 and Sweet Pursuit 10/1 may need this run for race fitness and worth laying if single figure prices especially the latter who has needed its 1st run after a break every time so far, there's 5 horses that have been in poor form in their recent races which narrows the field down but I expect those 5 will all be double figure prices, Some Nightmare 7/4 might go ok here and could make the frame but isn't an each way price, I will be splitting my money in this race between VAPE 5/2 who is my top rated but doesn't have the best trainer/jockey stats and the trainer hasn't had a winner in the last 2 weeks while TAWAAFOQ 13/2 is the one that could set the pace to this race, it has won before first time after coming back from a break and has been known to win before without giving any warning about coming back to form and the trainer does have a decent 19% strike rate at this course.

A class 4 dash over the minimum trip but I can only see Araifjan 9/1 as the possible pacesetter but I doubt it can lead all the way and may struggle to even make the frame but never say never, even though it won last time out in a slow time on the AW, Mulzim 9/2 may prefer a longer trip and the make-up of this race might not help it so it could be worth laying, Full Authority 8/1, Mohareb 25/1 and Phoenix Star 9/1 also may need further to show their best, Celsius 8/1 comes out 3rd best on my figures so could make the frame, Pettochside 10/1 ran well last time out when finishing 3rd in a slightly higher class race but may have been flattered in that race but could make the frame again if in the right mood but it is a 13yo who seems on a downward spiral, my money will be invested on HAN SOLO BERGER 9/2 who can be held up or track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish.

MUSSELBURGH 7.25

I cannot see a natural front runner in this race but Angel Eyes 20/1 has led before when nothing else wants to but its still a maiden after 37 runs so not for me and the bookies agree, Orchid Rose has a time from Ripon last year that is now beginning to look like a bit of a fluke rating where it got towed along in a fast run affair, the betting will decide if I lay anything in this race but, Stronsay 10/1, Stroxx 10/1, Lord Of The Glen 8/1 and Gorgeous Gabolina 14/1 are ones to consider looking at the early tissue prices but need to be a single figure price near the off time, I've got joint top rated horses in Koropick who has only won once from 20 runs on grass while the trainer is 0-13 at this course and the jockey is 0-2 for the stable so I will be backing the other top rated horse MOKAMAN 8/1 who’s trainer has a 26% win ratio at this course and the jockey has a 17% win ratio for the stable with the only downside being that the trainer hasn't had a winner in the last 41 days from 27 runners which will temper the strength of my bet.

3:25 Musselburgh Racing Tips (20th August)

MUSSELBURGH 3.25

MACHREE 5/1 is one of 3 known front runners in this race and is dropped in class to run here and if hitting the front could be hard to catch so has to be worth a wager.

NEVER DARK 9/1 usually likes to track the leaders but time wise it needs to improve a few spots but is a quite consistent sort but I would look to lay the win part.

PRIMOS COMET 9/2 is top rated on my figures and it recorded its best time earlier this year over this course and distance which is always a bonus.

MELODY KING 3/1 usually runs on strongly at the finish of its races but only comes out joint 3rd top on my figures so could make the frame but maybe poor value to win this race.

AFANDEM 16/1 comes out in 2nd top spot but this one doesn't like really fast good to firm ground so could go well here and possibly make the frame.

ECONOMIC CRISIS 16/1 another one that doesn't like really fast good to firm ground so could like this surface but needs to improve a bit time wise.

DENZIL'S LAUGHING 18/1 a possible pacesetter but maybe not quick enough to keep up with the other 2 that like to lead and will be an outsider.

REFUGE 10/3 the other one that I think could set the pace but its best form comes at a lower class of race than this one so I will lay it especially at the price.

SUMMARY: A nice race for a class 5 affair,I would look to lay Refuge 10/3 who has been running well lately but in lower class races and could struggle here, if the top weight MACHREE 5/1 gets to the front it could prove hard to catch and is dropped in class to run in this race but I will also be backing my top rated horse PRIMOS COMET 9/2 who should have ideal ground, as long as it doesn't rain, and is usually held up for a late run and likes a fast pace to aim at so everything could fall into its lap here but i will backing the two selections to cover the angles.

1:50 Brighton Racing Tips (6th August)

1:50 BRIGHTON

A strange race there's 9 runners but no known front running types but I have got negatives against the names of 6 of the runners and if knew for certain there would be a fast early pace I would look to lay, Red Alert, Ghepardo and Cappananty Con who all look better over shorter distances, the bottom weight The Lacemaker hasn't been in good form lately but does have a time from 2020 that would see it as my 2nd top rated but I would need to see some sign of a revival before putting any money on it plus the trainer is 0-9 at this course, GHERKIN 7/2 comes out top rated on just 2021 times and that time was recorded over this course and distance but my top rated is QUEEN OF BURGUNDY 6/1 and if able to repeat its best time from 2020 it would win with a bit in hand

Queen Of Burgundy 6/1 5th -1pt
Gherkin 7/2 6th -1pt

3:00 BRIGHTON

A field of 12 with 2 known front runners amongst them, I'm not sure if I can trust a time recorded earlier this year over this c/d but if it wasn't a fluke time then the top 2 will have this race between them with a fair bit in hand, I will look to lay Tyger Bay if its a single figure price, SIR OLIVER 6/1 is my 3rd top rated and it was done over this course and distance sot has to be respected, TIN HAT 14/1 (EW) comes out 2nd top using a time from last year from Newmarket and could make the frame, BATCHELOR BOY 20/1 (EW) comes out my top rated again using a course and distance time but i will be backing all of my top 3 rated horses and each way bets where the price permits.

3:45 MUSSELBURGH

An 8 runner race with 3 pace setting types, I will look to lay Sunday Sovereign 6/1 who likes some cut in the ground to show its best, Ornate and Wrenthorpe will make sure there's a decent early pace and I've only got 2lbs between them on my ratings but they would have to improve time wise to win this race, Makanah, Embour and Mokaatil are my 4th to 2nd top rated using this years times so they could have each way chances but I will be backing JABBAROCKIE 6/1 who is the 3rd possible pacesetter and my top rated so if getting to the front it ought to prove too hard to catch.

Jabbarockie 6/1 6th -1pt

BRIGHTON 5.10

Twelve runners with just King Crimson known to like to lead but i doubt it can hold on for the win in this class 6 race, I will look to lay Breezyandbright 9/2 who might need further to show its best and has poor trainer/jockey stats with 3yo’s, Our Man In Havana, Wild Flower and Something Lucky have times that would make them competitive and could battle to make the frame but my money will be riding on AQUADABRA 22/1 (EW) who’s best time from 2021 makes it top rated for just this year and its 2020 time makes it top rated on overall figures and being drawn next door to the likely leader it could get a good tow into the race and then stay on the stronger at the finish and at the price has to be an each way bet.

Aquadabra 33/1 6th -2pt

Just 7 runners and no known front runner amongst them which is always a bugbear in my analysis, I would look to lay the 3 at the bottom of the handicap, Yimou 9/2, Green Power and Dewey Road, if they are single figure prices and I have a negative against each one of them, Dancinginthewoods is my 2nd top rated on just 2021 times but its only 4th top on overall figures, Soar Above and Abate haven't got recorded times for this year but come out joint 2nd top rated on my overall figures, BEYOND EQUAL 9/2 who comes out top rated on 2021 figures and its best time from 2020 makes it top rated on my overall figures.

Soft ground - no bet as advised

NOTE: THE GOING HAS BEEN GIVEN AS GOOD AT THE THREE MEETINGS I AM INTERESTED IN BUT WITH HEAVY SHOWERS FORECAST PLEASE CHECK THE GOING BEFORE PLACING ANY BETS AND ANY SIGNS OF SOFT GROUND THEN IGNORE MY FIGURES AND ANALYSIS.

8:10 Bath Racing Tips (30th July)

BATH 8.10

GINGER JAM has a time from 2020 that would put it at the top of my figures and is usually held up for a late run and this race could suit it.

POP DANCER the 1st of 3 known front running types in this race and its best time from 2020 at Sandown would make it my joint 2nd top rated.

FERNANDO RAH 11/10 this 3yo is another possible pacesetter and is the other joint 2nd top rated and could still improve being a youngster so has to be feared.

SENECA CHIEF would need to improve time wise to win this race but it is fairly consistent when it gets its ideal conditions.

VANDAD the 3rd and final possible pacesetter is my top rated and it recorded its best time last time out at Brighton and has been found an opportunity to follow up here.

SARAH'S VERSE hasn't any form over this distance and it does appear that a longer distance would suit it better

SUMMARY: 3 of my top 4 ratings are all front running types so it should be a mad furious dash for the line, I'm hoping that *VANDAD 7/2 can get to the front here and if doing so could be hard to catch so it will be carrying my cash.

*NR

MUSSELBURGH 8.22

CLARENDON HOUSE 7/4 this 3yo is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics including leading and comes out 3rd top using a time recorded at Newmarket this year.

VICTORY ANGEL is usually held up for a late strong run and is 2nd top on its best time recorded over this course and distance this year.

STARS IN THE NIGHT its best time from 2020 wouldn't be good enough to win this race even with the apprentices 7lb claim.

MILITIA 11/4 the 2nd of the known front running types in this race but its best time recorded on its last race would make it my 4th top rated.

GET BOOSTING has its best time recorded this year over this course and distance but it would need to improve time wise to win this race.

KRAKEN POWER is another that will need to improve time wise to win this race and I think it will be better when racing over a longer distance.

PRIMOS COMET 6/1 has the best time for this race but its best times have been recorded in lower class races than this one so maybe worth laying at the price.

SUMMARY: I expect Clarendon House and/or Militia to set the pace I have only 1lb between them on my ratings, I'm not sure the bottom weight, Primos Comet, is quite up to winning this class of race so I will be putting my money on *VICTORY ANGEL 13/2 who likes a fast pace to aim at so this race could suit it ideally but i wont be betting too heavily in this race.

3:00 Pontefract Racing Tips (25th July)

PONTEFRACT 3.00

A poor turnout of just 7 runners for this class 3 race over 6 furlongs, I will look to lay, Zumurud 4/1 who needs to improve time wise and hasn't won since 2019 plus it also has poor trainer/jockey stats, and Afandam 4/1 who has recorded only slow times in its recent runs and its best time came form back in 2018 and that would need to be improved upon to win this race, the top weight Corinthia Knight 7/4 is forecast to be the hot favourite according to the tissue prices but this trip seems to be too much for it on good to firm ground and there's 3 front running types in the race so I will likely lay all 3 of them, I've got Marks Choice and EQUIANO SPRINGS 20/1 (EW) as my joint top rated using just 2021 times but the former may not like the ground if it is good to firm but I will be backing the latter and its a shame there's not enough runners for there to be 3 places if having an each way wager,I will also be backing the other possible pacesetter in the shape of HIGHLY SPRUNG 7/1 as it has good trainer/jockey stats just like my other selection, I'm not sure which one will prevail but I'm hoping that one of them can lead from start to finish.

PONTEFRACT 5.10

With 8 runners in this race I was hoping to find an each way value punt, if the bottom weight Ruby Wonder is a single figure price, which I doubt will happen, then I would lay it as i think it will need this run for fitness and its form hasn't been great anyway, Van Gerwen comes out in 3rd top spot, might be worth an each way punt, and along with my 2nd top rated Khabib 11/8 they like to track the leaders and I will most likely be backing the latter as a covering bet just in case the only known front running type AUCKLAND LODGE 7/1 doesn't reproduce its best, it has won 3 races from 12 on turf but hasn't been placed in any of the other 9 so it looks like it wins or isn't in the mix so I will back the win part only.

MUSSELBURGH 5.15

A field of 17 with 4 known front runners amongst them, the trainer Jim Goldie has 4 runners in this race so I'm not sure what his intentions are but going just with jockey bookings Primos Comet 12/1 may do best of the quartet but Sound Of Iona and Tanasoq both have better speed figures, the former Sound Of Iona has a poor jockey stat of 0-8, while I will be looking to lay his other runner Global Humor 8/1 who has done all its winning over a longer distance, its a wide open race and not bad for a class 5 affair, any of Glory Fighter, Gunnerside, Never Dark, Good Luck Fox, Water Of Leith and Economic Crisis have pieces of form that could see them running well and there might well be an each way punt amongst them but i will be putting my trust in MODULAR MAGIC 8/1 who won 2 runs ago at Ayr over this distance in a good time on good to firm ground but didn't seem as happy last time out on just good ground so I'm hoping the rain stays away and with good to firm ground I am hoping it can lead all the way.

3:55 Thirsk Racing Tips (30th June)

THIRSK 3.55

With 11 runners I'm surprised there isn't at least one known pacesetter in their midst plus I cannot find anything of value to put up as a lay, George Bowen is my 3rd top rated using a time from Hamilton recorded this year, my 2nd top rated is MANIGORDO 10/1 who is usually found to be running on in the closing stages so it will be hoping there is at least a decent early pace and the jockey has a 15% win rate on this stables older horses, my top rated is RATHBONE 7/2 and this one recorded its best time this year over this c/d and if the apprentice is worth the 7lb claim then it would help its cause greatly but I will be backing them both just in case the apprentice, who is 0-4 for today's stable, rides a poor race.

Rathbone 5/1 +5pts
Manigordo 10/1 7th -1pt

MUSSELBURGH 4.35

A 10 runner race where half the field have been known to lead before but I think they will be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace but maybe Abel Handy could do best of those racing from the front, Never Bark my 4th top rated and Sound Of Iona who is my 3rd top rated and is usually held up for a late run so this race may be run to suit its style, both recorded their best times this year actually add my 2nd top rated Good Luck Fox into that list but this one recorded its best time this year over this c/d but I will be siding with NORTH WIND 7/2 who usually runs on strongly at the finish over this distance after tracking the leaders so this race will be right up its street.

North Wind 5/1 6th -1pt

KEMPTON 8.35

I would like to lay *Al Asef if under 5/1 who I think struggles to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace but I am not sure what will lead or how fast a pace will be set, anything else with a negative against its name I think will all be double figures prices, I'm going with backing 2 horses in this race, LILKIAN 14/1 comes out 2nd top rated using its best time from Chelmsford and is also 2nd best on recent, 2020/21, c/d times but I do have LETHAL ANGEL 10/1 rated 2lbs higher who usually stays on strongly at the finish and this ones best time also comes from Chelmsford but that was this year which is a positive so two each way bets looks the way to go.

2:25 Pontefract Racing Tips (28th June)

PONTEFRACT 2.25

A 13 runner class 5 race with a couple of known front runners and I think Breaking Records will be the pacesetter and could do enough to make the frame on its best time from 2020 being my joint 3rd top rated along with Round The Island who will be trying to stay on nearing the finish, I've got HURSTWOOD 6/1 as my 2nd top rated and to help its cause it being ridden by a 7lb claiming apprentice who has 1-3 record for the stable so it might be a positive booking but I do have MR ORANGE 12/1 (EW) rated a few spots higher but this ones best time was recorded last year and so far this year it hasn't shown much but this one is capable of bouncing back to form without prior warning and could be worth an each way punt.

Mr Orange 12/1 5th -2pts
Hurstwood 13/2 8th -1pt

LINGFIELD 3.15

A 7 runner race with 3 known front running types and two of them Faustus and Lethal Blast are capable of winning this race from the front, I will look to lay Stake Acclaim who seems to prefer a bit of cut in the ground, Ehrmann hasn't any form on good to firm going so not sure what to expect from it, Red Alert has a time from 2018 that would make it my 2nd top rated but hasn't been in good form time wise since then, if pushed i will side with FAUSTUS 7/2 but it would only be for a small stake.

Faustus 7/2 1st +3.5pts

PONTEFRACT 3.55

Only 6 runners but a hard race to analyse and not much to say about the race, AL SIMMO 9/4 and/or ARAMIS GREY 5/2 could set the pace to the race and the race might well be won from the front, the former is my top rated one a time from this year and is a more natural looking pacesetter while the latter is versatile with its racing tactics which does include leading.

Al Simmo 9/4 1st +2.25pts
Aramis Grey 2nd -1pt

WINDSOR 7.00

I cannot find anything of value to lay in this race, the only known front runner is Zim Baby but it seems to prefer some cut in the ground, I wouldn't put anyone off backing any of, Atalantas Boy 12/1, Chairmanoftheboard 16/1, One Night Stand 9/2 or Dazzling Dan 13/2 who all have pieces of form that would put them in the mix and maybe an each way wager might pay dividends but i will be backing TINTO 7/1 who finished 2nd last time out and if able to reproduce its best from Newmarket last year then it could goon better in this race and this one has a positive looking good jockey booking.

A hard race to analyse to a conclusion but I will look to lay Thrilla In Manila 15/8 favourite who did win last time out in a class 6 race but I am not convinced it will be able to reproduce it in this class 5 affair and it looks poor value at the price and another lay is Wades Magic 4/1 who doesn't seem to reproduce its best form on good to firm ground, as for the winner I will dutch 3 horses with each way bets, MAJOR PUSEY 12/1 who will one day manage to hold on when it leads, ECONOMIC CRISIS 16/1 who will be trying to stay on at the finish and BLAZING HOT 16/1 another possible front runner so I hope one of them can lead all the way but also cover the angles with one I think will stay on at the finish.

4:55 Musselburgh Racing Tips (5th June)

MUSSELBURGH 4.55

As usual I will stick with my own unique speed figure handicap ratings which gives VICTORY ANGEL 7/2 as my top rated, its usually held up for a late run and with 3 possible pacesetters this race could be run to suit it, the only downside is the trainers 0-6 record at this course and the jockeys 0-8 record on this stables horses both Eeh Bah Gum and Militia could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but they might also cut each others throats and set the race up for my selection.

Victory Angel 7/2 1st +3.5pts (Betfair SP -)

CHEPSTOW 6.00

Looking at the tissue prices I will look to lay Aguerooo15/2 and Finvarca 8/1 who both might do better over longer distances as long as they are single figure prices, another lay could be Captain Ryan 13/2 who I tipped up and backed when it won last time out on the AW but it hasn't won since 2016 on grass and has shown very little since then on its sporadic ventures onto the turf and I think this expected favourite could be worth laying, Glamorous Force is my 4th top rated but only 1lb below my joint 2nd and 3rd top rated horses Top Boy, but I had to go back to 2019 for this ones best time, and Blue Venture and this one could be the one to set the pace and should prove hard to catch if getting to the front but my top rated is AQUADABRA 9/2 who recorded a time in 2020 at Bath that would see it winning this race a shade cosily, the poor trainer/jockey stats are a bit off-putting but I am hoping an each way punt could pay dividends.

CHEPSTOW 6.30

A 9 runner dash with 3 known front running types in the race and Davids Beauty could go best of the trio but this ones best is only good enough for 4th top spot, I will look to lay Flip Mode as I don't think good to firm going suits it but I will need to check the going on the day before laying this one, Bellevarde is my 3rd top rated and the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim moves it to 2nd top spot, my original 2nd top rated was Show Me The Bubbly but this one jockeys record of 1-13 for the stable looks a negative, MOONRAKER 2/1 starts off as my top rated and the apprentices 3lb claim keeps it at top spot and it usually likes to track the leaders and the stay on strongly at the finish of the race but I do hope it drifts as I was hoping for about 5/1.

1:00 Goodwood Racing Tips (30th April)

GOODWOOD 1.00

Only 7 runners but a nice looking class 3 affair except for the lack of early pace, Minhaaj hasn't been in form so looks a likely outsider, Green Power hasn't shown anything time wise since 2019 and maybe another bigger priced horse, Top Breeze may find this distance too far if there is fast early pace so I'm not sure whether to lay it or not but if under 5/1 may be worth taking the risk, Concierge may prefer longer but time wise needs to improve to win this race, Open Wide is 3rd top even if I use its best time from 2019, Atlantis Boy usually stays on at the finish and is my 2nd top rated but I will be backing BIMBLE 5/2 who is usually hold up type so I am hoping there is a decent early pace for it to aim at and has good trainer/jockey stats making me think the connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways here.

MUSSELBURGH 3.35

Another 7 runner race but class 4 this time, where my top 4 ratings all recorded their times this year but once again its a race with no known front runner in the field, Mid Winster may need further to shine so this race might not be run to suit it, Primos Comet sits in 4th top spot but doesn't want really fast ground, the top weight Victory Angel comes out 3rd best and is usually held up for a late run, Afandem my 2nd top rated is another that doesn't want really fast ground, I will be pinning my faith and money on FASHION ADVICE 7/2 who recorded its best time over this c/d and the jockey has a decent 18% strike rate for the stable.

Isn't a great race even for class 5 standards, anything I think will be a lay bet looks likely to be too big in price to be worth risking things, Major Valentine comes out 3rd best and Rainbow Mirage in 2nd top spot and both of them recorded their best times at Windsor this year, maybe even the same race as I've not looked as I analyse each horse separately, my money will be riding on VAPE 11/2 who recorded its best time at Salisbury this year and has made the frame in all of its last 3 runs on turf and has been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

NEWCASTLE 7.55

This might be a class 5 race but its a nice looking one, there is 3 runners in the race that have been known to lead before so it should be a true run affair, there is very little between Good Night Mr Tom, Tomily, Jungle Speed, Oakenfield and Absolute Dream who are my 6th to 2nd top rated (not in ratings order I worked from the top to the bottom of the handicap) but I will have a punt, and it is a punt on HART STOPPER 13/2 who is my top rated using its best c//d time from last year, it hasn't shown much lately but it won last year on its third run of the year and this is its third run of this year so I am hoping that lightning will strike again this year.

NEWCASTLE 8.25

Down to class 6 here and gladly there is a couple of known front running types in the race, the top weight Ventura Express is forecast to be the favourite for this race but I have a feeling it is a better horse over a longer trip and that would usually be enough for me to lay it but it is dropped in class in this race, it won over this distance at Pontefract last time out but that course is a lot slower than today's, in fact there's just over 3 seconds difference between them over the minimum trip and a horse covers 19 yards per second at this course so maybe I will lay it if poor value, I've got Quanah, Gorgeous Gobolina and Atyaaf as my co 4th favourites, Suwaan at the bottom of the handicap comes out 3rd best, Another Angel comes out 2nd best on its best effort from 2020 and it is one of the likely pacesetters, the other likely pacesetter is ROCKLEY POINT 7/1 who recorded its time this year which is always a positive and the jockey has a decent 15% win ratio on the stables older horses.
