8:00 Newcastle Racing Tips (13th October)

NEWCASTLE 8.00 

I can see 3 known front running types in this field of 12 runners and I'm hoping it will be won from the front, firstly I think Mumcat 6/1 who does come out 4th best on my figures will stay on too late for the win so will be a lay if of value to do so but only the win part while the opposite applies to the 3yo Hes An Angel 3/1 who is still a maiden after 7 runs and it faded before over this distance. One For the Ladies comes out in joint 2nd top spot using a 2021 rating and has been 10lbs below that level since then, Muddy Lynn is the other joint 2nd top rated and is a front running type coming out of stall 3 which isn't ideal as those drawn high seem to have a slight advantage and my top rated horse AUTUMN FLIGHT 8/1 is drawn in stall 10 and if this one gets to the front it could win a shade cosily.

Down to 8 runners for this five furlong dash where Dapper Man in stall 6 who is my 3rd top rated is the only known natural front running type in the race , both Crypto Quest and Woobay 2/1 race as though further would suit them better so might be worth laying for the win part, Aconcagua Mountain 11/2 is my 4th top rated and is usually held up for a late run so I doubt it will catch the leader/s in time to win the race unless something else decides to change their usual racing tactics and they go off too fast in front and fade badly nearing the finish but it could make the frame, Lady Celia is my 2nd top rated using a 2022 rating recorded on this surface but at Southwell which is similar to this course with them both being on a straight course without any bends so it could go well but its best course and distance rating is 6lb below its best. ELZAAR 4/1 is drawn in stall 8 so it should get a good tow into the race from midfield or even at the back of the filed and then stay on the stronger at the finish, it has had 13 previous races over this course and distance winning 5 of them and being placed in another 6 so an each way record of 11 from 13 which is superb and showed a return to form is imminent by finishing 2nd here last time out and has been found an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways.

SOUTHWELL 3.10 

5F Class-6 14-Runners

I can see 3 horses that might set the pace to this race and on this straight course the draw isn't too significant, 2 of the possible pacesetters are 3yo’s and would need to improve time wise to win this race but they are of an age when improvement can come without warning so never discount them but I will expect Mehmo 8/1 to set the pace and being my 3rd top rated it could at least do enough to make the frame and if allowed an easy lead it could be dangerous but I will as always stick with the proven, I cannot see anything to lay that I think will be a single figure price so I will stick with looking for the winner, Micks Spirit 14/1 is my 2nd top rated on overall figures but is actually my top rated on just 2023 ratings but it hasn't shown much in its last 5 races so would need to spring back to form to have a chance of winning this race. GOLDEN RAINBOW 20/1 (EW) comes out in 4th top spot using just 2023 ratings but has a rating from 2022 that would see it winning this race a shade cosily admittedly it hasnt been in great form this year but has been slow away or held up in most of those but if it gets away on terms here it could prove the stronger nearing the finish and is dropped in class to run in this race and will be carrying my money even though it does look to be the stables 2nd string and hopefully it will be an each way price.

6F Class-6 Div1 14-Runners.

There is five 3yo’s in this race which always muddies the waters, Congress has the best form of the quintet but the time was relatively slow when it won over course and distance last time out and this looks a tougher race and once again its a race where I don't think I can find anything of value to put forward as a lay bet. Autumn Flight 12/1 is one of the two known front running types in this race and is my top rated on just 2023 course and distance ratings so could possibly win this race, The Waiting Game 11/10 won when I backed it last time out being backed down from an early 9/1 price but that was at Chelmsford on the Polytrack surface and it did win very convincingly that day leading all the way, its other victory also came over the same course and distance, so if taking to this surface it could quite easily complete its hattrick but I expect it will be a fairly short priced favourite so not really a value bet, if Eldeyaar 16/1 can reproduce its best rating from Wolverhampton last year it would be winning this race with a little bit too spare. I think the winner will come from this trio so maybe dutching them will be the way forward in this race.

Up to seven 3yo’s in this race it might normally be a race to tread very carefully in but from what they have shown so far one of them would have to improve to win this race. Firstly, I will look to lay Blackcurrent 8/1 if its a single price as it struggles to stay the distance in a true run race which it might get here with Tathmeen 6/1 my 3rd top rated likely to lead here, as i cannot see a natural looking front running type in this race but it has led before, and if allowed an easy lead it ought to at least do enough to make the frame and might be worth at least a bet, *Deputise 3/1 comes out in 2nd top spot but is only 2lbs higher than the 3rd top rated on 2023 ratings and only 1lb higher using 2022 ratings which shows how close things are at the top of my ratings, it would be folly to ignore Jumira Bridge 20/1 who is my top rated overall and it recorded that rating this year at Wolverhampton and is the type of horse that can spring back to from without warning so this looks to be another race where dutching 3 runners might be the solution to the race but maybe the lay should be the priority in this race.

5:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (13th February)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.00 Div I

A field of 9 for this division of this class 6 dash with 2 that have been known to lead before although Prince Of Rome is more of a versatile with its racing tactics and maybe only leads when nothing else wants to so it might not try to lead here. Coast might need further to show its best form but being my 3rd top rated it could run on into the frame, Munificent is my 2nd top rated and this one usually tracks the leaders before staying on strongly nearing the finish but I doubt it will be an each way price. My top rated is AMAZING AMAYA 12/1 who tries to stay on at the finish and if able to track the early pace then could stay on for the win so has to carry some of my money but I have a feeling that BOOM THE GROOM 4/1 could be allowed to set the early pace and if able to do so being my 4th top rated it could do enough to at least make the frame but could pinch the race from the front if allowed an easy lead and the jockey has a decent 19% strike rate on the stables older horses.

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30 Div II

The make-up of this 2nd division is very similar to the first division with 1 what I would call a natural front running type and if AUTUMN FLIGHT 8/1 runs here and is allowed an easy lead it could go very well from the front and could even hold on for the win so has to carry some of my money. Fair And Square 6/1 is still a maiden after 25 races and if a single figure price I will look to lay it along with Procivity 12/1 who races as though further suits it better and has never won on an artificial surface from 8 attempts and its 1 good rating is looking like a race where it towed along in a fast run affair so is maybe best ignored. I will also be backing TOPLIGHT 7/2 who can deploy any tactics apart from leading and is from the same Stable as Boom The Groom is the 1st division so has good jockey stats. It look to me as the trainer Tony Carroll who has 2 entrants in each race thinks he can win this race and i have put forward one from each division which I think is the better prospect in each division.

3:00 Lingfield Racing Tips (6th July)

LINGFIELD 3.00 

A class 5 handicap on the Polytrack surface with 3 known front running types amongst the 8 entrants, I'm not sure if I can find anything of value to lay so lets look for the winner. The Defiant is one of the possible pacesetters and comes out 4th best on my figures, in third top spot sits Sir Rodneyredblood who likes to stay on at the finish and could make the frame, the top weight Wings Of A Dove is my 2nd top rated and another that has been known to lead before and could be hard to pass for most of these but I do have SAAHEQ 14/1 rated higher by 3lbs and to be honest it hasn't shown much so far this year in its 3 runs but is capable of bouncing back to form without warning and hopefully it will be an each way price for this race.

Only 6 runners with 2 known front runners, I'm not keen on laying 3yo’s but Thakrah races as though it will do better when tried over a longer distance so might be worth the risk if of value to lay, the top weight Amor De Mi Vida 2/1 could do best of those coming from off the pace being my third top rated but my top 2 ratings are both front running types, Aish 6/1 comes out 2nd best but if the ground is good to firm then i will be backing PRETTY SHIFTWELL and a repeat of its best speed figure would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

A field of 8 for this class 4 race with 3 known front running types so it should be a true run affair especially as Symbol Of Hope 5/2 and Under Curfew 8/1 are my 3rd and 2nd top rated so many horses might not be able to get involved in this race, Majeski Man 13/2 hasn't won at this distance before and I doubt that will change here as it seems to like further so one I will look to lay, my money will be riding on AUTUMN FLIGHT 9/1 who is usually held up for a late run and is dropped in class to run in this race and hopefully that will rejuvenate after its 2 runs so far this year have been quite poor but it has won before without giving prior warning of coming back to form.

Not a bad race for a class 6 affair and there's a couple of known front running types amongst them, firstly i will look to lay *Nigg Bay 6/1 who is forecast to be five to one and that looks poor value for a horse that needs a longer distance to show its best form, Silver Diva 12/1 could make the frame if it can reproduce its best rating from 2021 but is been a few spots below that level so far this year, Andre Amar 6/1 is my 2nd top rated and it recorded its best rating over this course and distance this year but UBAHHA 9/4 is rated 2lbs better plus its one of the 2 possible pacesetters in this race so if getting to the front it should prove hard to catch.

4:10 Catterick Racing Tips (7th September)

CATTERICK 4.10

MILITIA a possible pacesetter but would need to improve time wise to win this race and the trainers win ratio is only 8% at this course. 

BUY ME BACK the jockey is 0-4 and the trainers strike-rate with their older runners is a poor 5% and has had 1 winner from 19 runners in the last 2 weeks.

MACHREE has poorish trainer/jockey stats and the trainer is also 0-17 for the last 2 weeks while puts me off its chances.

ASTROZONE has poor trainer stats and its best time from the last 2 years leaves it well short of whats needed to win this class 4 race. 

DAPPER MAN a possible pacesetter and my top rated on just 2021 times at this level and its best speed figure from Hamilton makes it my top rated on my overall figures. 

DARK SHOT has been known to lead but hasn't done so lately but its best time from 2020 at Leicester would make it my 2nd top rated but it could struggle to lead here which could hamper its chance of winning. 

SPANISH ANGEL has poorish jockey stats and time wise would need to improve to win this race but could go well if able to reproduce its best 2020 speed figure.

THRILLA IN MANILLA has poorish trainer/jockey stats but it is capable of making the frame if running to its best speed figure rating. 

ECONOMIC CRISIS the trainer is 1-63 at this course and the jockey 0-17 for the stable and maybe doesn't like good to firm ground.

AUCKLAND LODGE this one might be outclassed at this level but is capable of recording a fast time in the right grade.

SUMMARY: With 6 of the 10 runners having been known to lead I think this race should be won from the front as long as they don't go off too fast from the off, I am going to side with DAPPER MAN 4/1 who admittedly hasn't the best of the draw in stall 8 but it ought to be away fast enough to lead or at least gain a good early prominent position and then a reproduction of its best Hamilton time would see it get back to winning ways here.

There's 7 runners in this race with 2 horses known as front running types and they are my 4th top rated, Anjella and my 2nd top rated Hello Me so maybe the rest of the field may struggle to get involved, Sarah's Verse is my 3rd top rated and this one is a hold up type but I will be putting my money on the top weight SECOND COLLECTION 10/3 who is another hold up type and it likes a fast pace to aim at so this race should be run to suit it, the trainer has had 6 winners in the last 2 weeks so is in good form and could add to his total here. 

Second Collection 9/2 2nd -1pt

WINDSOR 5.15 

Just 5 runners but luckily 2 of them have been known to lead before so the early pace could be set by either/or Pop Dancer and Just That Lord and the pair of them are only separated by 1lb on my figures and Pettochside is rated just 1lb higher but none of them are in my top 2 ratings, ROSE HIP 3/1 is my 2nd top rated on just 2021 times but has a time from last year that moves it to top spot so has to be backed in case it can repeat last years best time but I will also be backing AUTUMN FLIGHT 5/4 who is top rated on just this years times and the trainer has a decent 15% win ratio at this course.
