3:42 Ripon Racing Tips (2nd August)

Just 6 runners in this class race but luckily 2 of them have been known to lead but one of them Macho Pride 9/4 has poor trainer stats and I would look to lay it especially at such a short price, the other is Bossipop 9/1 who seems to be getting a little bit slower each year and its best time this year is quite a bit lacking and I expect it will be an outsider, Fortimour has a decent time from 2020 at this course and distance and could go well, if I took notice of Gale Force Maya’s time from 2019 it would be my top rated but has been nowhere near that since that year but I will be backing PAWS FOR THOUGHT 5/1 who will be staying on strongly at the finish and this race should suits its style of racing.

A class 4 and a pitiful 4 runners and none of them are known as front runners so its hard to analyse, I couldn't lay any of them and I will take a punt on KATH'S LUSTRE 7/2 who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly so I'm hoping it can cover any moves and prove the stronger at the finish and in my opinion is the value call in this race.

I can only see Niagara who has led before but it is still a maiden after 8 runs but does have a time on turf that would make it my 2nd top rated so has to be feared, I cannot find anything of value to put forward as a lay as most will be biggish prices, At Your Service is my 4th top rated using a time from 2019 and hasn't been in good form lately, I will be backing 2 in this race the top weight SAMBUCCA SPIRIT 15/2 is my 3rd top rated and the trainer has been in good form in the last 2 weeks and it will be staying on at the finish, my top rated RAABEH 11/2 would be my sole selection if it wasn't for the trainers 0-18 in the last 2 weeks and the horse is still a maiden after 18 runs and 13 of those runs have been on AW tracks.

A 16 runner race with 4 that have led before and I think/hope that it can be won from the front, I cannot see anything of value to lay as most horses will be double figure prices, there's a few that could go well looking at snippets of form they have shown, Total Commitment who usually tracks the leaders, Lihou who recorded its best time over this course and distance and will be trying to stay on at the finish, Open Wide has a time from 2020 that could put it in the mix, my 4th top rated is Operate who is one of the likely pacesetters, Tinto is 3rd top but it is using a 2020 time and its not been anywhere near that level so far this year, Treacherous is 2nd top rated and will be staying on at the finish but its best time came from 2020 but I will be backing my top rated A SURE WELCOME 16/1 (EW) who is a possible pacesetter and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and has decent 17% trainer stats and 15% jockey stats which makes me think connections are expecting a big run in this race and if possible it would be a decent each way wager.

I hope all 8 stand their ground so there is 3 places which I want to have an each way bet, I will look to lay Sarah's Hope 8/1 who will be trying to stay on at the finish but on the clock it will probably be too late to win this race, there is 3 known front running types so it should be a true run race especially as they are my top 3 ratings, the 3yo Toptime comes out 3rd best but has to improve a few spots to win this race, Lethal Blast is my top rated on just 2021 times and must have every chance but I will be taking a punt on UNION ROSE 16/1 (EW) who comes out 3rd best on 2021 times but has a time from 2020 at Bath that takes it to the top spot and hopefully if it gets to the front could be hard to catch but I am hoping its a double figure price so I can take a bit of insurance with an each way wager.

1:00 Sandown Racing Tips (22nd July)

This is an 8 runner race and I hope all run so I can go with an each way wager, there is 3 known front running types so it should be a fast run 5 furlong dash, I might lay Libertine Belle as it may need further but its sometimes risky laying a 3yo especially if its backed so the betting will be my guide whether to lay it or not, Spurofthemoment also may need further so maybe another one to lay, as for the winner I will probably dutch four horses, SAAHEQ 10/1, BUY ME BACK 11/4, SPRING BLOOM 11/2, UNION ROSE 28/1, in this race and I will probably have another each way bet on the latter who is my top rated using a time from 2020 at Bath and its time from just 2021 puts it in 3rd top spot so it ought to have a chance of at least making the frame and looks the value call in the race.

Ten runners with only Sir Rodneyredblood 15/2 known as a front running type but that was on the AW tracks, it hasn't made the frame in 5 runs on turf but its best AW time would make it my 2nd top rated but its not for me in this race and maybe one to lay, the other early paced one is Breath Of Spring 9/1 who could also do enough to make the frame but not sure if it can hold on for the win, Excellent George 33/1 would make the frame using its best time from 2019 or 2020 but hasn't reached that level so far this year but might be worth an each way punt if its 20/1 or bigger, Molly Shaw 11/4 and Secret To Success 9/1 could also go well but my money will be riding on GLOBAL HOPE 16/1 (EW) who recorded its best time over this course and distance in 2020 and a repeat would see it getting back to winning ways and i am hoping I can do it as an each way bet and the jockey has a 17% win ratio on the stables older horses.

Only 4 runners but what a race to try and solve, I could lay Castana Dia 7/4 who may need further and looks very poor value at the price in my opinion plus you don't lose much if it does win, Invincible Larne is likely to try and set the pace but time wise it needs to improve a good few spots to hold on for the win, of the other 2 I think dutching all of them might be the way to go, STAY SMART 5/1 could be the one to make sure the early pace is fast and using its best time which came on the AW at Newcastle it would be my top rated but its best time on turf is quite a lot lower but has to have a chance, SPIRITED GUEST 9/4 would be my 3rd and 2nd top rated but there is only 2lbs between the pair of them on my overall ratings but I sure wont be betting too heavily in this race.

A field of 9 here with only Barrington 8/1 having been known to lead before but hasn't been in good form lately and I doubt it could hold on for the win even if in top form, I will look to lay Blazing Hot 6/1 who may struggle to stay the distance with a fast early pace, Dandys Gold is my 4th top rated but just 1lb behind Lucky Beggar in 3rd top spot and the later usually stays on at the business end of a race over this distance, the top weight Mutanaaseq comes out in 2nd top spot using a time from Thirsk this year and is another that stays on at the finish of a race,i will be putting my trust and money on HAIL SEZER 7/2 who recorded a time at Carlisle when finishing 2nd that would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

The early pace is likely to be set by Redrosezorro and this one could go well if allowed an easy lead but maybe not enough to hold for the win, I would look to lay Seas Of Elzaam 8/1 if it is a single figure price as it may need further to shine and Praxeology 9/2 who doesn't appear to like real fast good to firm going and with a fast early pace can struggle to stay the distance, Music Society would be top rated if I used its best time from 2019 but hasn't been near that level lately, North Wind and Freedom have more recent, 2020/21, times that would make them competitive in this race but my money will be riding on PEARL OF QATAR 6/1 who usually likes to track the leaders and then run on strongly at the finish and the jockey booking makes me think that connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways here.

A very competitive race for a class 5 affair but I would look to lay Siberian Night who may need further on fast ground, Sir Rodneyredblood could be the one to set the pace and could prove troublesome if allowed an easy lead and it could even do enough to lead all the way but i have 6 other horses that i also think could win this race and if I stuck with my top rating then Amathus and Under Curfew would be the selections but both have poor jockey stats which puts me off a little, Storm Melody, Physics and Iconic Knight are others that also could be in the mix at the finish so this race might be best left alone but if pushed I would go with MADRINHO 10/1 who has a decent speed figure, so looks the value call in the race,but it is the jockey booking that catches my eye with a 31% win ratio for the stable so I am hoping an each way wager will pay dividends.

A class 4 dash with 9 runners but surprisingly only 1 known front runner amongst them, Many A Star 13/2 might be worth laying as it might need further to show its best and this race might not be run to suit it, the 3yo Asadjumeirah 7/2 is 2nd top rated on 2021 times but drops to 4th on overall figures but could be able to improve further, Zulu Zander has a time from 2020 that makes it my 2nd top rated on all my figures but the jockeys 0-14 on the stables older horses makes me think this one has another target in mind, the top weight Beyond Equal is my 3rd top rated on all figures sing a 2020 time from Windsor but I will be backing UNION ROSE 20/1 who is 3rd top on just 2021 times but its best from 2020 makes it my top rated and it has good, 17%, trainer stats but the jockey has a 25% win ratio for the stable so I'm hoping they are good pointers, it looks the value call in this race and at the price has to be given as an each way punt.

There is a couple of front runners in this race so I doubt either can win this race, I would look to lay Treble Treble 7/1 who has only slow times and doesn't really seem to like good to firm ground, I wouldn't put anyone off backing Blackheath, Big Les or Athollblair Boy who all have pieces of form that could see them being concerned in the finish but I am hoping that GHATHANFAR 11/2 from stall 11 can track a front runner housed next door in stall 10 and gain an advantageous early position from which to attack at the business end of the race and the jockey has a decent 15% win ratio on the stables older horses.

2:11 Bath Racing Tips (3rd May)

BATH 2.11 

A six runner dash with two known front runners and one of them Michaels Choice is my 3rd top rated on recent times and 4th top overall, I will look to lay Bay Watch who may need further to show its best form and its best time over this distance doesn't put it in my top 4 ratings, Secfetfact comes out 4th top on recent times but 3rd top overall, Second Collection is my 2nd top rated using a time from Windsor last year but hasn't shown much in its four runs this year, my money will be riding on UNION ROSE 9/2 who is my top rated on just 2021 times but that is only good enough 4th top overall but has a time over this c/d from 2020 that makes it my top rated and it is the other possible pacesetter and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and has good trainer/jockey stats so I'm hoping that is a positive for their chance in this race.

Another six runner dash and again there's two known front runners, I would look to lay Cherish as it usually handicaps itself by being slowly away, Arzaak could lead but has poor trainer/jockey stats it does come out 3rd best on my figures, the other front runner is THEGREYVTRAIN 10/3 who with its apprentices 5lb claim only 1lb off of top spot and will be carrying some of my money, top rated is Katherine Place but it is held by my selection on their last run and the trainer has a poor 1-23 win ratio with their older horses at this course which is off-putting, looking at the jockey stats it is the opposite with a good 20% win ratio, I will go with the form from their last race and hope that the selection can lead from start to finish.

1:25 Sandown Racing Tips & Lay Bets (11th September)

SANDOWN 1.25 

RIO RONALDO 13/2 has shown nothing timewise so far this year even when finishing 3rd it was a slow time, if you go back to 2018 it would be my top rated and the jockey is 1-2 for this stable so maybe they think it can wind back the years but i have my doubts and maybe worth laying at the odds.

BRUNELS BOY(3yo) 13/2 is 0-5 on turf and then add on that I think it might not want the going to be too fast and may need a longer trip to show its best so looks one worth laying at the price if it stays 8/1 or below. 

NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND(3yo) 11/4 is 3rd best on just 2020 times but drops to 6th overall if the others reproduce their best so it might make the frame but I somehow doubt it will win and looks poor value at the price but never say never with a 3yo. 

UNION ROSE 11/2 is one of 3 known front runners in the field but it hasn't shown much so far this year but the trainer has a 5-10 win rate at this course and its best time from 2019 would make it 2nd top overall and could lead all the way here. 

MICHAEL'S CHOICE 9/1 another possible pacesetter and is my 2nd top rated on just 2020 times but drops to 4th overall and I'm not sure this type of course will suit it but not of value to lay. 

PINK FLAMINGO 13/2 has only slow times so far this year but its best time from Leicester last year would put it into the mix but the trainers record of 1-45 at this course makes me think they may have another target in mind and may need good to firm ground to show its best form and I might lay it if under 8/1. 

GREEN DOOR 14/1 has only slow times at this distance on turf and this is mainly due to it preferring some cut in the ground to show its best so one to lay in my opinion but probably isn't of value to lay for some people. 

GINGER MAX 7/2 has only 1 previous run at this distance and looking at other form it looks as though a further distance would suit it better and I would lay at the price as it looks poor value in my opinion.

ATTY'S EDGE has the fastest time for just 2020 so has to be considered as a possible winner I'm not sure if it drops to 3rd or 4th overall bu it could make the frame but i doubt it will be an each way price. 

NON-RUNNER SUMMARY: They are saying the going is good but as this is the 2nd race on the card please check before having a bet, I will look to lay (Brunel's Boy + Ginger Max + Green Door) as long as they are all no bigger than 8/1 in price, as for betting I will go with UNION ROSE 11/2 as I think this one could well lead and if getting to the front and reproducing its best time from last year it could hold on for the win.
